Unbelievable I found this place! Same style, same concept as in its home country! Below some facts that needed to be put into consideration when doing grocery here: - You have to have change to use a shopping cart. - Limited offering of fresh food. - The majority are own brands. - Self-packing at check-out. - Minimum staff and service. They have a lot of German origin food! I need to find a spot that is closer to my area though.

Millville cereal box sure looks like the national brand..

Never seen anything like it ~ but there was a definite group of regulars when we visited.. See photos of displays..there were some brands we recognized and we did not see any great values.. I don't feel there would be a reason to return with so many other options! Although I did think the cart idea was a good one!

We filled both buckets with mostly ripe delicious strawberries. The kids still need to refine their picking skills. We then got snow cones, brisket and sausage. The kids played and had cotton candy. This was an extremely fun 3 hour activity. I was surprised to find so many delicious ripe strawberries this late in the season. In the end we spent a little over $100. The snow cones were super delicious- actual shaved ice. There are amazing photo ops and I took beautiful pictures of my kiddos. There are several fun pockets and experiences on this farm and it's very kid friendly. As a mom, I'm always having heart attacks because kids love to do crazy stuff, but here I felt very relaxed. Next time I would have them wear mud boots (our tennis are caked with mud). The strawberry fields weren't extremely muddy, but there were pockets of mud out there. We are eating the strawberries and my toddlers are thrilled and proud because they collected them. I just need to get a jam recipe to make this day last a few months. Thank you to the staff that were so warm and friendly!

It's well organized with a a variety of dedicated staff and vendors. It's a true community experience. The location is spacious and accessible, and the food that I have bought from there is always really good. I have bought baked goods like cookies, breads, bagels, Indian food, and dog treats for my dogs. I've also bought fresh vegetables and handmade soaps. Today I was there on a rainy day, and the vendors were still there and ready for their customers. I was also impressed by the community support because people were still shopping in the rain, with and without umbrellas and raincoats.

This morning I got up bright and early at 630a to help set up tents, tables and chairs, signage for all the vendors to use; met the market mgr Candy (she's awesome) I talked to a lot of people (which I love) and i helped sell Morgan Elementary schools veggies from their garden. I bought some fresh kombucha from 3rd Coast and fresh homemade tamales from, momma's tamales in Houston. It started raining and lightning around 1045a; I needed to leave at 11am so it all worked out. The manager I believed welcomed me BACK. I said "Oh thank you", but in my head I was thinking this was my first time back in months, lol. I must have a twin, lol. Ok, back to the review. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. There's also plenty of seating in a quaint, charming little market setting, making it a great spot to sit, relax, and enjoy your drink. Definitely a hidden gem--I'll be back to try more flavors! 5 stars!

Houston Flea Market is the definition of "you get what you pay for." It's overcrowded, disorganized, and feels like a maze of the same vendors selling the same cheap imported products over and over. The aisles can be dirty, parking is chaotic, and customer service varies wildly depending on who you're dealing with. Prices aren't always the bargain you'd expect either--many sellers charge close to retail unless you're willing to haggle. The food is one of the better parts, but it isn't enough to make up for the overall experience. If you're hoping to find unique antiques or hidden treasures, you'll probably leave disappointed after digging through piles of low-quality merchandise. Unless you specifically enjoy the flea market atmosphere or know exactly what you're looking for, there are much better ways to spend your time.

The place is owned and run by family. All of them are very nice. The guy farms several vegetables himself. The other fruit and veggies he gets from the area distributors. This makes for some fresh produce and a lot better than what you get in the grocery stores. His prices are reaonable and compare (if not cheaper) to HEB. Like any place that sells fresh produce, sometimes you might get a bad peach or such. However, 99% of the time I've always had good fruit and vegetables from them. They also sell some jar items, but never tried them. If you go, you might want to call first because they are seasonal. I think they close down after November. If you go out Hwy 36 from Rosenberg watch for the red "Open" sign. The turn off road is right across Hwy 36 from a concrete yard. My one and only complaint is having to cross a busy railroad track to get in.
