    Magical!!!

If you hadn't made your way to Theiss Farm Market yet, I urge you to go!! What a cute magical place full of fresh produce, gorgeous plants, and a ton of pumpkins to choose from. Family owned by Mike and Stacy, great people, what a lovely life. The Heirloom tomatoes I grabbed are from Marfa, sweet onions from Vidalia GA, beautiful brown Pasteurized eggs from yellow rose egg farm. The jalapeños and giant cucumbers all home grown. They have amazing hanging plants from $19-24, it's a steal! I swear I would walk around this market all day. You will truly enjoy your visit here.

We LOVE this nursery! Beautiful location!

Fresh juicy homegrown tomatoes close by. That alone is 5 star. The real Hawaii style shave ice stand is big plus. Banana bread is amazing and our son loves it. Great stop.

Great produce here. Love fresh peas that they have in the summer. The staff is always friendly and courteous.

Houston Flea Market is the definition of "you get what you pay for." It's overcrowded, disorganized, and feels like a maze of the same vendors selling the same cheap imported products over and over. The aisles can be dirty, parking is chaotic, and customer service varies wildly depending on who you're dealing with. Prices aren't always the bargain you'd expect either--many sellers charge close to retail unless you're willing to haggle. The food is one of the better parts, but it isn't enough to make up for the overall experience. If you're hoping to find unique antiques or hidden treasures, you'll probably leave disappointed after digging through piles of low-quality merchandise. Unless you specifically enjoy the flea market atmosphere or know exactly what you're looking for, there are much better ways to spend your time.

Why 5 stars? Because this was a fun family outing…read more --- --- --- I drove by Atkinson Farm a year or two ago and always had it in the back of mind as a place to visit, ever since. Recently, we saw them share on Facebook that they had some strawberries ready for picking and we basically hopped out of bed and headed over there. You pay $3 per person and $2 per bucket to enter. My wife waited in life while I took our son to play on the playground, which he really enjoyed. Once she was done, we headed back to the strawberries. There were several areas you could choose from, and it was pretty obvious which areas had been picked over already and which hadn't. Some sections would only have a few decent strawberries, while others were full of only the biggest and brightest. We nearly filled up two buckets and it was only $24. Sure, we had to pick them and wash them, but we had enough strawberries to last us an eternity. And they were pretty tasty too. The market where you pay for the berries after also had other various produce items and meats. I added on a jar of pickles on top of the strawberry haul. We will probably have to make this an annual tradition!

Looking for farm-fresh produce? Local honey? Homemade preserves? This is THE place…read more I have been coming here for years. As soon as they open in the spring until closing at the end of August, I am here at least twice per week. There is nothing like the taste of locally grown, pesticide-free produce: *Corn is absolutely delicious. Worth the extra cost, and remember that these will not be picture-perfect ears because no pesticides are used. Snap off or cut off the top if you find a little worm and remember that this is what you do in exchange for natural produce. *Watermelons are addictive. Scrumptious! *Cantaloupe: sugar-sweet. Grab it when they get it, otherwise you'll miss them because they sell fast! *Red potatoes are WAY better than what you'll get in the grocery store. These reds make hands-down the best mashed potatoes you will ever eat. *Tomatoes (either from their farm or other local farms): nothing like what you get in any grocery store. These ARE tomatoes. *Squash: zucchini, butternut, acorn, gold bar and others. The flavors explode in your mouth! *Eggplant: the regular or Japanese (when they have it) variety has the most distinct flavor whether you're making parmesan, grilling it or frying it. *Greens: kale and other greens. Super tender! *Cabbage: makes the best coleslaw you will ever eat. Stock up on local honey before the end of summer, too. Honey lasts forever, and they will be sold out come August. Support local business! Super-friendly staff and phenomenal produce. You can't go wrong.
