Wow, I complain to corporate office back in November and then you did better putting out non broken eggs and I return this morning and more than 12+ cartons had broken eggs in them. Some cartons had yellow yoke on top and yoke dripping off the sides of the egg cartons. I have reported you again. Why are you putting out horrible products for customers to buy? I thought I had gone through the majority of them, but apparently when I got home the broken part was upside down. Who the heck runs this store? Why do you constantly allow your employees to put our food that is bad or broken; especially, eggs??? Furthermore I bought two cartons of milks and butter and some Akin's drinks. They put all that in one bag and did not double bag it. Who does that? It's common sense. Now I have a mess to clean up since the bag broke. Thanks Kroger's. Kroger is always amazing to shop. Fresh food, bread, seafood plus all your regular items. I absolutely love this store.

I just moved to this area about a month ago and I've just started coming to this Krogers. Yesterday I had a really bad experience with a cashier on register 9, as I was walking up with my basket and my child he looked at me rolled his eyes and threw his head up like I did something wrong. I proceeded to tell him never mind I will go to another line. I just feel like if you didn't want to work please stay at home!!!You honestly don't know what anybody is going through now and days and for him to do that it left a foul taste in my mouth!!!!!! It's a Kroger. It's a big Kroger, so it has that going for it. It's newer, so it also has that going for it. I was on vacation and came here with my sister twice. We found mostly everything we needed. The seafood counter and frozen options were a bit lacking, which was unfortunate because we were buying ingredients to make Seafood Lasagna. Also, we could not find Clam Juice. The reason was, while there was a spot for it, they had none in stock. Checkout was awkward because the cashier unloaded the cart while a bagger bagged, but had nowhere to put the bags because the cart was still being unloaded. Oh... they had Dogfish Head 90 Minute. That made me happy, but our Safeways in CA carry it as well. I was pleased, but it wasn't extraordinary and not worth an extra star. Still and all, both visits were A-OK. read more

I love this Kroger. It's on the way to Galveston for me and an easy on and off 45. It had a huge parking lot and a large Starbucks with ample seating. The store was very clean and had a good aura. The day I was there they had some good produce specials. And they had a cute pumpkin display. One thing I really liked is they had two self check Out stations in separate parts of the front of the store. This store is crazy. I've never been into a Kroger that had clothing, and department store ideas. I'm jealous and want my Kroger to Have all this even though I'll never use it. I when to get veggies at Kroger's. The veggies all read from Mexico mainly and I saw a few from Costa Rica. None from the USA or Texas. In the organics there was no squash. At least I can find veggies from Texas and USA at HEB even if some the fruits are from out of country. Was waiting at Curbside for 1 hour and 20 minutes, and the manager (Megan) scolded me like a child, and said helping her load my groceries into my car would be the "more appropriate thing to do". She then threw a temper tantrum and aggressively loaded the groceries up with little regard to them staying intact; yanked on my car door handle as hard as she could because she was upset I didn't unlock my car beforehand. My girlfriend and I were on the phone with each other while she yelled at me, and were both baffled. This Kroger's location is 2 minutes away from my house, and I am very excited that this opened. Let me start off by saying that this place is huge! This is probably the biggest Kroger that I have even been into. The store is laid out very well. On the left side is the marketplace, and on the right side you have clothes... Yes I said clothes! This Kroger sells clothes, shoes, bicycles etc. it's that cool. Also, they have a sushi bar that lets you sub regular sushi rice to brown rice and quinoa. They also have a Korean rice bowl spot right next to it. All that and the regular Kroger deli stuff. Overall best Kroger ever, I'm just glad it's close by! read more

Horrible customer service. Horrible. Horrible. They wouldn't give me store credit for a SIMPLE TRUTH item. No receipt but unopened and untampered with. I have returned and exchanged items at other Kroger's with no receipt and no issue. I only wanted store credit to exchange. But the manager said that sometimes people purchase things with WIC and try to take things back. I honestly don't care with other people do. And the comment was irrelevant and probably shouldn't have even been said. I have shopped at Kroger for years because of the quality items and customer service but this store really does Kroger an injustice. Yes, it's pretty. It's large. It's located in a nice area...but like anything, what is on the inside is what truly matters. I don't care how nice looking you are. I called the Kroger customer service line seconds after walking away from the customer service desk and within 4 minutes they gave me a credit to my Kroger card WITHOUT THE RECEIPT OR EVIDENCE OF PURCHASE! I have a credit and I still have the unopened item which I will now be able to donate to someone in need. So, essentially, I had to jump through hoops but got what I should have gotten at the customer service desk. Shame on you Kroger. Moral of the story-every Kroger is not excellent, and this store is evidence of that. If you have an issue, call the 800 number instead of expecting this customer service desk to exemplify wonderful customer service. It will save you time and frustration. The policies of each Kroger are created by the individual store's management and this clearly explains why this Kroger is well below unsatisfactory. Also, to the store manager: I'm a Physician, I do not qualify for WIC. In case you were wondering, which I am sure you were. I am glad a lot of my patients can benefit from that awesome assistance program though. I understand that there are some who manipulate and game the system. I have to update this review, not necessarily because something had changed, but because I have seen what other grocery stores are like in the Houston area. This place is a gem in comparison. Shelves are generally stocked well, cashiers are friendly, the store is relatively quiet and easy to navigate. I came back to this store recently and actually enjoyed the shopping experience; I have been shopping at another Kroger on the west side of 288 in Pearland. That place is a nightmare in comparison. Be grateful that this store, although not perfect, is nice to visit. read more

We like that this Kroger has more of a selection in the deli department, some clothes, and toys. I wasn't wowed, I expected more of a super center, like Target or Walmart vibe. They carry all of the regular items found at most regular Kroger's. The place was clean, and items were easy to find. Great store. I switched from HEB just because its convenient to me. I live 5 mn away from this store. The only thing that I hate about this store is that when you try to ask someone for assistance, they roll their eyes and breath deeply. I don't know why, but this happened twice to me. I strongly believe if I try to ask them again I will have the same reaction lol. Maybe they all had the same training. This is a huge grocery store. It was clean and I was able to do self checkout quite fast. I walked through the store to the back where the meat dept is located. Not one person greeted me or said anything. I walked through several departments. I stood at the meat counter for a while before I was helped. The new Kroger has quite the selection of organic fruits & veggies, Simple Truth egg whites, and a great selection of packaged Boars Head salads to grab for a quick lunch. Beer & wine selection is quite nice, too. But I honestly could do without the clothing section and they do not carry any snack bars that I like, such as Oatmega's or Zing bars, so alas, I still have to go to HEB from time to time and stock up. Great, convenient location to my house and that is the biggest plus! read more

Stopped by on the way home to pick up some ice cream. I asked while checking out if the store price matched because Arlans has blue bell for $4.99 a half gallon vs the $6.97 they were selling for. I had the add pulled up on my phone. The manager was flagged down and tersely responded (to the cashier, never acknowledging me) "NO we do not price match". As far as I'm concerned you can keep your pompous attitude and your ice cream. I'll be shopping elsewhere. read more

Massive! It's like your run of the mill Kroger and Walmart had a baby. They even have a clothing section? Odd... But HUGE! Odds are if you are looking for ANY household item, they will have it here. The overall experience is probably more of a 4 star rating but they get an extra star for having a gas station and EVERYTHING else you can think of. What is the deal with your gas prices? How is it diesel is cheaper than gas? Shouldn't that be the other way around? In league city this store average is 10 to $0.15 per gallon higher why? Also this store reminds me of the old Kroger off of gulf freeway. Produce is overpriced and not fresh!! We are not in the city so do away with the city pricing!! Every grocery store around you is cheaper and had advertised items unlike this Kroger advertises items but doesn't even have any to sell. I was visiting relatives down in Friendswood around the 4th of July for a cookout, and we needed some last-minute supplies, so I volunteered to go out to pick them up at this store. I realized when I'd arrived at the store that I had brought my checkbook wallet instead of my normal wallet, so I thought I would just write a check for the groceries. The first thing I did when I got to the self-check was to ask the attendant if they would take a personal check just to be sure. She said yes, so I went ahead with it. When everything was in the bag, I wrote the check out and handed it to her. She spent about the next five minutes writing on the back of it and entering numbers into her computer--until she turned and asked me if I had another method of payment. I couldn't believe it. When I told her no, she asked if I had written any checks there recently, which didn't even make sense to me. I asked her why, and she said that "it would help." What? When I asked her why she was refusing my check, she refused to answer and rudely kept asking me if I had any other form of payment. I finally realized they just weren't going to take my check, so I took it back from her and left. So, bottom line, this Kroger refused to take my personal check. That's a first for me. I've written personal checks at a variety of grocers (Gerland's, Rice, Randall's, Safeway, HEB, Harlan's, Brookshire Bros, etc) since the early 1990s, and this is the first time I've had anyone just flatly refuse to take a check. Moreover, it's essentially a middle finger to customers. I use a card for 90% of my purchases, but not always, and if Kroger claims to that they'll take a check, it's disrespectful to waste people's time by refusing at the last minute. In fact, it's hard to remember the last time I was treated more disrespectfully at a grocery store. Last time at Kroger for me. I've generally been leaning toward HEB for some time, but that choice has been made easy by this episode. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE from the Flower Department! VERY DISORGANIZED! MY WEDDING FLOWERS WERE CANCELLED 2 WEEKS BEFORE MY WEDDING! I ordered flowers for my wedding. The manager for the floral dept. wrote down the details of the order and did not give me a copy because she said the copier did not work. I asked her to email it and 3 weeks later, she still had not emailed it. When I went to the store to pay the deposit several weeks later, they still did not have a copy of the order. When I complained to Lori, one of the employees in floral, she said she had no idea where the order was and that I had to come on a different day to pick up the copy. She told the manager Morgan that I had said that she was unprofessional and MORGAN CALLED ME BACK TO CANCEL MY ORDER! I got my money back and spoke with Debra, one of the Store Managers at Kroger's, and she did nothing except give me a refund. This Store Manager has terrible customer service skills and does the bare minimum to take care of customers. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ORDERING FLOWERS AT THIS KROGER'S! ESPECIALLY WEDDING FLOWERS! It is hard to get in touch with the Floral Manager because her schedule changes constantly. IT IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS!!! read more

Would have been 5 stars if the store layout made sense. Get a store map so you know how to work the interior with your list. There's an area reminiscent of other 'super grocery stores' where certain clothing and housewares are available, so be aware of the impulse to buy extra stuff. Otherwise, we've been pleased. Today I stopped shopping at Kroger. Generally, the staff there are good to deal with. Today, I found the exception that will take Kroger off places I will spend my money at. I stopped by to pick up a few things. Gulf Shrimp was one of items I needed. So I'm standing at the counter, patiently waiting for someone to help me. A very rude black guy sticks his head out of the back yelling "What do I need?" I reply "shrimp." So he huffs his way over to the counter. I point to the gulf shrimp, and ask if they are fresh? He replies in a pissed off tone, that they are always fresh. (That's not always the case, and that's why I ask.) So he proceeds to bag a pound, and hands them to me with a profound look hatred on his face. No thanks, kiss my a$$ or anything. Just wanted to drop a note saying a big THANK YOU for the Carline Cart that you have available for handicapped children/adults! I was shopping yesterday with my 18 year old and he LOVED that cart. I had no trouble going through the bakery section, cereal and ice cream isle. No chasing after a screaming boy! Check out was a breeze! I don't normally bring him to the grocery store because he's such a handfull but I had no choice yesterday and I was sooooo relieved that that cart was available. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS STORE AT NIGHT. Shelves are usually empty and you will have to scan and bag your own groceries. I assume to save money this store shuts down all checkout lines at night. Funny that they don't lower the prices when you have to do their work for them. Walmart and Target are both cheaper and at least have the decency to have checkers scan and bag your groceries. Four stars due to customer service and convenience. As Kroger is such a great store with almost anything one would readily need in the way of household items and groceries. I have to say though, I was quite disappointed while being waited on at the deli, I observed one employee answering her cellphone while slicing a customer's meat. She did not replace her gloves in the process. Another employee did not change her gloves prior to returning from the floor area to the deli to slice my ham. With all kinds of germs including the current outbreak of measles it is so very important to be vilegent and follow sanitation guidelines, especially in an environment where food is being handled. I believe in most cases, customers are noticing. If not, they should be. read more
