And the deli here has many delicious sliced meats and cheese. The meat department here also has phenomenal cuts of meats. My family and I love the fresh steaks at Publix. One thing I want to mention is that we did grab a premade meat loaf from the prepared meals section, and the meatloaf was so salty that we couldn't even eat it, and we had to throw the entire meatloaf away. That being said, this type of thing truly happens so rarely that I still must say that Publix is my all time favorite grocery store chain in the entire United States that I've found. They are just hands down the highest quality grocery store. The Ambiance in Publix is always wonderful. "Where shopping is a pleasure" is absolutely the truth. Publix store are spotless and exceptionally clean and they truly go above and beyond to make your shopping experience a pleasure. Publix has the very best service and the best team of associates. I have bought bakery items that were so dried out I threw them away (were the label dates changed?). I love White Mountain bread, but it is often full of holes (many reasons this can happen). I was there a few days ago and almost every loaf was deeply. dented in the middle from top to bottom. Fruit is often tasteless or old, spoiled. I only buy grapes now. They used to have a great brownie cookie and little French lemon bars/cakes years ago, but I have not seen them in years. Most of their cookies are not very good. I have sent emails to the company, but nothing changes. One more thing - and this is NOT the fault of the store - I have noticed that many customers in the store (NOT the employees) are rude. Being polite doesn't cost anything. The employees are great!

Lots of fresh options - not as much as Publix but I usually find just about everything except the real unusual (today I wanted Pomegranate Seeds so I'll need to make a Publix run for that). The back wall is the standing refrigeration section. Picked up some great cheeses and also a piece of Salmon on a Cedar Plank. The third perimeter wall has the frozen food. If you're an Aldi shopper you know that the rest of the aisles are like a treasure hunt. There are certain items that you'll always find but there are lots of areas where you'll find those treasures/surprises. Today I got a Cat Scratchpad and some really cute baskets to hang in the kitchen. Another perk of the new layout is there is a longer counter where you can do the bagging of your groceries. Bottom Line: Check it out and don't forget your own grocery bags and your quarter ;-)

Noticed that they now have a gas station (they didn't when I came here a couple of years ago) and it was $0.20 a gallon cheaper than other gas stations do filled up the rental car here. Dad/my youngest walked back to us to let us know he doesn't have a cookie and that we have to walk back to bakery to get one. What a ridiculous situation and while I understand only kids are eligible for these cookies; if a parent accompanied by a child shows up, please help them out.
