Probably my favorite Aldi's especially since they opened up plenty of new self checkout lanes -- like 6 or so. This is huge as the wait at Aldi can be brutal! My favorite here are the pita chips and cheeses for charcuterie, avocados and organic bananas. They have an extensive wine and chocolate section too. You can always find some sort of goodie in the limited section as they are always rotating items. I just picked up a Christmas scented candle -- if you see something you like make sure to get it because they may not have it again if it's an annual offering. read more

Well, I think Aldi saw this review and righted the ship. Receipts have been clear as can be for months now. Since then they've added self-checkout. I have to say I like it. I don't feel as rushed with self checkout. Today I didn't have room on the scale for my last item. I scanned it and then just stuck it back in my cart. No alarms went off and the system still let me proceed to payment unhindered. There's a huge Christmas vibe right now. Lots of decor for reasonable prices. I picked up a nice "Joy" sign for my front porch for $8.99. Unless you're hitting up thrift stores, you won't beat this price until the after-season sales begin. read more

Aldi, Valparaiso used to be better. Some food products are perhaps misdated. The orange juice gets spoilt before the date on it. Some vegetables could be more fresh. But generally a pleasant atmosphere with low prices. Staff used to be friendlier, but still helpful and OK, except one young lady who is exceptionally hostile. But for customers, she would not have her job. Someone should remind her of this. There was another obnoxious young lady. but she seems to have gone now. But the unpleasant staff are the minority. the majority are pleasant, helpful, and very hard working. So this remains a pleasant, humble place with good vibes. read more

Ok, let me rave about Claire, she was so uplifting, and was all smiles while scanning our groceries. We got to talking about how I put everything in my basket, cold with cold, dry with dry, boxes with boxes, and then when I put my stuff on the belt, i do the same thing, she gently scanned my stuff and put it in the basket the same way. I will always be looking for her when it comes to me shopping there now. Because she is the sweetest person ever, we were laughing because she said it's like Tetris, putting the stuff in the basket after scanning it, not just throwing it in there like some people do. So yeah! Aldi's y'all picked a great person to work for y'all... thanks for the smiles Claire and great conversation! You da best!! read more

I love this aldi location. They remodeled it since the last time I stopped in and it's super well stocked and well organized. The only thing I noticed that differs here is they don't have as much cheese and deli meat as other locations, but they could have just been needing a re stock. Very clean, and I found a whole bunch of great new products here. read more

My family and I shop at Aldi all the time. I went to get groceries today. I should have wondered as I was going in, why the parking lot wasn't full... On a Saturday afternoon, Aldi had ONE cashier working at a register. They've installed A LOT of SELF-CHECKOUTS!!! And the other employee working, kept saying to everyone "self checkouts are available". If the line to the cashier was any indication of things to come; regular shopping will be bad enough...forget any holiday shopping! I do not want to use Self-Checkout for my groceries. And I am SURE the parents shopping by themselves with their young children, do not want to scan their groceries either! This is an epic fail for me. It wasn't broken, it didn't need to be fixed. Went today....first time since they reopened. The parking lot was packed, so we worried about getting in & out fast since we only needed a couple items. As usual it was much cleaner & neater than some Aldi stores I've been in. We grabbed the few things we needed at awesome prices & headed up front. Obviously they were true to their word & had hired more cashiers. With more registers open, the crowds were able to get through quickly. Very pleased. Now if we could get our local Walmart to hire some cashiers & cart kids. Ha! Good luck! read more

Visiting from out of town and stopped in with my friend to see what Aldi is all about! (They're building one by me, in So. Cal!) Prices seemed really reasonable for most items, and average for others. It's a small store, with mainly generic "house" brands. I was told they rotate out products regularly, so if you see something you want...grab it!!! Their shopping cart concept is pretty awesome. The carts are all locked together. You have to pay a quarter to release one...and you get it back when you return it! This not only helps keep costs down (less stolen carts and less labor being used for employees to round them up) but prevents dings from stray carts slamming into your car!! :) Definitely looking forward to my Aldi opening! Went into my local ALDI to pick up some groceries and had an unpleasant experience with staff. Apparently, due to COVID-19, I was commanded not to use my own bags purchased at the ALDI store for groceries. Instead I was forced to purchase cheap brown paper bags in the rain for 10 cents a piece. Extremely rude cashier as well. I understand it's a crisis, but management needs to focus on improvement of attitude if they want to maintain customer base. read more

They have Come a long way. I shop here every month and go back if I need to. But Your dollar goes Further here then elsewhere! But they do have some stuff that is getting pricey and that's is okay! *Tip* Bring Your Own Cloth Bags! Big Ones! They Have them there too! But you'll need to buy them there or bring em from home. Also You'll Need One or Two Quarter depending On How Much your Buying. They for the Carts. A quarter Deposit to get them unchained from the rest. Sometimes People will give you a cart and some times they wont! Be Prepare to stand in Line a few minutes. But Hey It's Worth it! read more

Aldi is always a mini-fun experience. Pricing is great, produce is fresh and they have had a nice variety of cheese which we would buy for our church wine-and-cheese Saturday evening hospitality hour. (Lately, however, the variety has lessened, oh well - nothing is perfect.) Very pleasant and helpful staff. Favorite things are their Moser Roth chocolate, Winking Owl wine (also for the wine-and-cheese hospitality hour.) And even better now that they accept credit cards. read more

We've been going to all the the last couple years and more and more of our food dollar goes to them because they're consistent in quality and pricing. We also like the variety of products and also their specials that they have weekly. Can't wait to see the new store since they're remodeling. We will probably go there tomorrow Sunday. read more
