Our family of six was looking for a place to go while visiting in Rostrevor. We were craving…read moreItalian and this place looked great. For some reason the phone number wasn't working well for me, but we decided to risk showing up without a booking. When we arrived, a gentleman (I think he's the owner) let us know they were booked up and it would be an hour until we could get a table. He gave us some suggestions of other local spots to try. While we were outside considering our options, he came out and told us he'd risk it and that we could have a table. We were so grateful and excited about our meal. We had the appetizer special to start - toasted Brie with fig and apricot jam, pistachios and crusty bread. It was amazing! Our host was beyond attentive and we felt like the guests of honor. Our entire family agreed this was our favorite meal of our entire trip. Not only was the food phenomenal, but the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere of the restaurant made it feel like we were invited into someone's home. Our meal included the braised lamb shank with cannellini beans, the spaghetti carbonara, the seafood linguini, the chicken and bacon al forno, the pappardelle bistecca, and the Villa Vinci dirty pizza. Everyone took bites of everyone else's food because it was all delicious and amazing. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu, the panna cotta, the creme brûlée, and the lemon cake. It was one of our favorite evenings on our trip and definitely a meal we would love to have again.

Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. We didn't have one, so we were told by the hostess…read morethat we'd get the less desirable seats in the house. We were put in the very rear by the back door, which, when opened, occasionally required us to get up from our seats to let someone in. My pasta was great, the garlic soup was AMAZING (I've never heard of a creamy garlic soup with pesto drizzle before but now I pretty much wake up dreaming about it), and my boyfriend loved his personal pizza. The lattes we got for desert were too huge and watery. Had difficulty finishing them, and they weren't very good. The only thing that has room for improvement, though. The customer service was great (a well-spoken foreign exchange high school student was our waitress), and Leonardo himself initially took our order and stayed a while by our table, talking boisterously and cracking jokes. He was an amusing character. We wanted to come back once more, but time did not permit us to.

Garlic bread also good and garlicky. My son had pizza which he said tied for best (with Mona Lisa) on the island. I loved my main. A tuna steak, and the only place I've been able to get on the island to truly serve it seared and red in the middle. Perfecto.

By far the best meal I've had since coming to Ireland! This is conveniently located in St. Ann's…read moresquare. We made a reservation here a couple days ago and were seated quickly. There is a 4 course meal option here where you can get a starter, a pasta, another main entree (+£5 if you get the steak and +£6 if you get the market special fish, which in this case was halibut and was delicious), and a dessert for £46. I got beef carpaccio, beef ragu with papardelle, lamb, and tiramisu + my friends ordered some different dishes so we could all try a little of everything. The food was absolutely amazing! Service was attentive + friendly! It's definitely not cheap, but if you're looking for a good "treat yo'self" option in Belfast, look no further than here!

Group of us got together to catch up and thought we would try Coppi. We had been here last year and…read morethey have since done a renovation. The place has comfortable seating, combination of booths and chairs. It's a very noisy place so if you're going with more than 2 or 3 people it will be difficult to have good conversations. We were well taken care of by several servers that kept water and drinks coming when requested. We started with the Focaccia with olive oil, Cerignola Olives, and Anchovy Toast, Stracciatella & Marinated Peppers. The starters were well received and everything was very good. We then placed our orders, too many to list here, but I had the pea and ham risotto and a companion had the gnocchi. It was requested that the gnocchi only have the tomato sauce but it arrived with the basil and cheese on top. The dish was okay but nothing spectacular. It was offered to remake it but we declined just for lack of time and holding up everyone's dinners. The pea and ham risotto had whole peas and several small slices of ham on it. This dish was like eating a plate of melted cheese with peas thrown in. It was hard to distinguish the risotto from anything else in the dish. The pistachios had a nice toasted flavor to them but the cheese just over powered everything else. Some of the other dishes ordered were the duck ragu (seemed well received), but the beef cheek dishes were not well received and had a number of comments that the quality and flavor wasn't there. From what we recall from last year not only was the restaurant renovated but so was the menu and I think we preferred the old menu. Not sure there will be a return visit if we come back to the city again.
