A month ago I closed on my new home and John Laster was the closing attorney. I wanted to wait a…read morefew weeks so see if any documents were requested after closing before leaving a review. I have been through this process several times before and this is the first time that "closed" actually meant "complete." I don't know why it was so important to me but I have never understood why real estate attorneys take such little care in making sure they get it right the first time. Every closing I have had in the past had a follow up request for an overlooked signature or a date change because something was out of sequence. I chose Laster because he was recommended by a friend. (It was actually the first time I had heard of him.) His staff was very helpful leading up to the closing. They moved the closing date up for me on short notice to accommodate a change in my work schedule. At closing, I found John to be very professional and he took care to explain each document that I was signing. (In my experience that only happens on the first few signature.) I gave him 5 stars for veing prepared, executing his job completely and professionally and for having a genuine interest in making it a good experience.

If you have the misfortune of closing a real estate transaction with this group, be prepared for a total lack of care, communication, and attention to detail.
