The initial scheduling was alright and that's why I'm giving this place one star. I made my appointment at 1 PM. The girl on the phone failed to inform me that the office would be closed from 12 PM- 1 PM for lunch. I arrive early for my appointment (12:40) and had issues parking so I called and called with no response. It was only when I called again after 1 that they finally picked up. I explained what happened and the girl was pretty condescending to me and didn't even apologize for the lack of communication on her part. I didn't even see the doctor and I don't want to anymore. This place needs better customer service. As a patient you should explain to me when you're open. Ridiculous and unprofessional vibe. Do not go here. Find a better office. read more

Please read the following for the original review. I gave this office two stars because I like the Dr. but visiting the Doctor isn't limited to the Doctor himself as you see and talk to everyone else (Receptionist, Nurse, etc) more than the Doctor. Unfortunately these people can really ruin your experience with the office. In this case our Doctor lost us as patients due to the extreme rudeness of his office Manager Mercy and her staff. When I started visiting Dr. Rotter he had taken over for Dr. Kermit Murray, a Dr. who moved away and I was very sad to see leave, he was amazing. At the start I was impressed by Dr. Rotter's office staff. They were nice, SPOKE IN ENGLISH and efficient. Since then those girls have left and have been replaced with a staff that is obviously ambivalent and some don't even KNOW English. That is OK, this Gringa can speak the language perfectly... I will communicate in Spanish but don't think its professional that I am not afforded the courtesy to be addressed in English first. I have to translate for my daughter who doesn't speak Spanish that well. Speaking of my daughter, this is where the problems begin. I took her in for a headache that we pretty much knew the cause for, but decided she probably would feel better if we went to see him. He confirmed what we thought but told me he needs blood work for her just to make sure he has something on file as a base for the rest of her visits. So when my husband went in with our daughter to have her blood taken the first thing they asked him was for the appointment for the blood reading. He explained that this wasn't because she was sick but they insisted that he HAD to see her no matter what. Really? Since when? Hasn't it always been the norm to only call if its abnormal? I have hounded my OB/GYN's office after weeks because my blood work has come back normal and they didn't even bother to let me know, no need to call in their opinion. OK so my daughters blood work is in, they call to get us to come in so he can read it and to insist only the Doctor can explain this. We asked for the records, hey, we paid for the blood work, they are our daughters records right? She got defensive and told us that only the Dr. can read this .. told us that it was AGAINST the law to give them to us without him reading them to us. Of course we would have to pay our $35 copay and our insurance would be billed for a visit. We asked if there was something to be concerned about, and she told us she couldn't say. Long story short we insisted on getting the blood work and she got mean, offensive so my husband got upset and we hung up. Minutes later Mercy calls us to further offend us by saying that she couldn't believe we didn't care about our child's health. My mother is a nurse, my father was a Dr., my father in law is a Dr., my Brother AND Sister in law are Dr.s. When we told them this and asked for our records they said that of course everyone in Miami has Dr.s in the family, in other countries, but its against the law to give us our daughters medical records. Really?? I mean REALLY? We asked if we needed to be concerned, and her answer was "OF COURSE if there was anything to be concerned about we WOULD HAVE LET YOU KNOW IMMEDIATELY". Thanks Mercy for confirming you are just trying to scam us and our insurance out of more money for the Dr. to tell us there is no problem with our daughter. Obviously we switched to another Dr. immediately. I like Dr. Rotter but if he permits his people to run his business this way, I would rather go somewhere else. It saddens me to have to leave a Dr. I like but I refuse to be treated this way. Oh yea Mercy and office staff, HIPAA rules and regulations state: SUMMARY OF YOUR RIGHTS In Florida, you have the right to: * See and get a copy of your medical record. Upon your request, your health care provider must give you a copy of your medical record in a timely manner, usually within 30 days. They must also let you see your medical record if you ask. Your health care provider is allowed to charge you for copies. They can also charge you for postage. read more

If i could give this doctor a NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD. Very unpleasant, no manners, he cant stand you asking him questions. Does not care for his patients. He is the type of person that doenst let you talk or voice your concerns. He does not understand that his job is to address each and every concern you might have regarding your health. He literally told me (If your going to be difficult, there is the door). He has very little knowledge so he shields himself with long responses and hates being questioned. I am sad to report that after months of coming to see this doctor I am truly disappointed with his way of treating both his staff and his patients. The only reason why I don't give it fewer stars is because the staff is ridiculously helpful and nice. I honestly feel for the staff that has to deal with him on a daily basis. He tries to be a jack-of-all-trades and isn't good at any. Yes, in his office, you can get labwork done for $20, pap smears, botox, laser hair removal, AND he prescribes meds for a number of ailments where one would probably need to go to a specialist instead. The last time I was at the office, which was last Friday, I heard him yelling at a patient about doing some tests. He then came to see me. The nurse wasn't given the previous patient's full information, so, naturally she came in and asked some questions. He then scolded her for asking too many questions and turned to me and complained. Very unprofessional. He also got angry with me because I refused to take some meds when I found out what the side effects were, not to mention, researched the drug. This specific med could have been fatal if combined with another med I am taking. My search for a good primary continues as I have scheduled an appointment with another primary. read more

Okay so I went to this doctor because his office was nearby but it was the worst mistake ever. He never actually followed up on my tests he had another doctor who knew nothing about my case explain my results which ended up being confusing, then when I went in because of an abdominal pain I was having the doctor diagnosed me with a UTI without even checking my tests or anything. He yelled at me and my mom because I couldn't remember a antibiotic I had taken 5 years ago and was abusive and rude. Even when I calmly explained to him that he was making me feel uncomfortable he told me "if you dont like the way I am talking to you, theres the door" me and my mom left and I was better off at an urgent care. never go here please, especially if you have anxiety, this doctor doesn't care. And the best part was that as I entered his office he was watching a soccer game in his screen. read more

Im glad I didn't have a bad experience like most reviews on here! I went to this place because a friend recommended it and I live 5 mins away from it. The staff was very friendly and Dr. Rotter was great at making me feel comfortable and answering all of my questions! He was even kind enough to let me know where to get FREE antibiotics and other medicine at very affordable prices! I am lucky to have found the right Dr. for me and my family. Dr. Rotter really cares. He will go to details in your medical history and strives in finding an answer to our medical problems. Since I am his patient my blood pressure is finally under control, I have lost 40 lb under his medical supervision. His staff is extremely good and on point. I decided to write this review due to a medical emergency we had with my oldest daughter, she was rushed to the hospital with abdominal pain, nothing was found in all the exams emergency room preformed and Dr. Rotter took the time to look into the situation and helped us resolve the diagnosis and treatment. His bedside manner is excellent, he makes us feel like family. We are appreciative and grateful for his medical expertise and the way he treats his patients. THANK YOU DR. Dr. Rotter is friendly, professional and helpful... He's ready with a quick joke to keep you comfortable and cares about your health. His staff is very friendly and they keep things moving. I've rarely waited more than 10 minutes to see the doctor and rarely waited more than a couple of days for an appointment.... Overall great doctor - would definitely recommend. The only thing to be aware of is their "office" fees that seem a bit over the top - $20 for drawing blood at the office and $1 per page for copies of your reports etc. It's not a big deal for me - but just so you know.... read more

Ana in medical records is the most condescending and rude person I have ever come across at a medical facility. All she had to do was confirm that she had my correct fax number to fax me some medical records and she blatantly and purposely kept repeating the incorrect number. When I asked to speak with a supervisor she would giggle with the person next to her and advise that this facility has no supervisor. Worst of all PCPs I've ever encountered in my life. Rude, unpleasant, unprofessional, lack of manners, and don't even dare to suggest a symptom or ask for a blood test, because he will go on to insult you and lecture you with inappropriate comments as if you are a child. I had to see him a few times for my mother and all times I left upset with this gentleman. He should not be a Dr. if he doesn't genuinely care for his patients. I was very happy to hear his contract was terminated with my insurance. I hope I never have to cross paths again with this man. read more

i have been going to this doctor only cause im lazy and he is close by but every time i go i regret it. he takes 5 minutes to write you 5 prescriptions and sends you to a few specialist that have nothing to do with your problem. lets not even talk about the front desk. they all hate each other and together with another doctor this place has the worst energy ever. one time i was waiting just to ask something and the girl from the other doc told me she couldn't call anyone because she did not work for my doctor and i waited 20 minutes while this useless girl was just looking at me. once they do get to you they are ok, kind of nice but not much help. most important the doctor does not take more tha 5 min , im serious, i timed it once lol. its sad but true. read more
