Kevin, in reply to your comment below, you have also been in the business long enough to know what the seller did. Having rented is just an excuse like the seller expressed because he said he was not responsible for what the renters did, however, he was the owner and you represented him and he falsified the legal contract. When all this was brought to your attention, you immediately denied the seller knew any of this because you didn't want to tarnish your name and reputation. I truly believe that. I spoke to both of the renters multiple times in great length and they told me the entire story of all the leaks, damages, mold, and how the seller wouldn't spend the money to fix things the proper way, only cover it up. I had multiple active leaks, not to mention massive amounts of mold that was hidden behind ceilings and walls. Over $16,000 in damages. Perhaps you want to pony up some of your commission to do the right thing or are your words of apology just a saving face? Actions speak louder than words! And now you are selling a house two doors down from me that is just emerging on the listings. Many of my neighbors know the story about my house and what truly happened. All I can say is Karma has no deadline and what goes around comes around to those that are not in full integrity. It's just the universe creating balance.
