He checked our unit out and it was actually working fine at the time. no charge for coming out. It then went out 24 hrs later, I called him back and he immediately brought a unit out and replaced our old one because it had a bad compressor and capacitor, he replaced it, 24 hours later the new one blew a plug, he then brought out a new coil and outside unit, but he stepped up and brought a Forensic Engineer to make sure there wasn't anything wrong with our electrical system. The engineer found that the outside unit was bad from the factory. needless to say, Jack cares more about his customers than the money side of business. He charged me a very fair price and did an amazing job! I will only use Jack for any A/C wirk and he also has a great roofing business as well. if you need A/C work, give Jack a call! You won't regret it.

It was under warranty and replace, we had to pay labor. Then in early June, the system was out again. At that time, the capacitor was replaced. End of June, the fan was out again, it was replaced plus a circuit board was added. Last weekend, the unit stopped working again. We have invested over $3K in repairs on this unit to finally be told (by 2 other AC companies) it is not fixable and needs to be replaced. The $500 circuit board lasted us all of a couple of weeks. It was wired incorrectly to the heat setting so the fan would blow at lower speed. Wires were left unattached as well. It saddens me to leave this review as we have used this company for many years. $3K is an expensive bandaid for our AC system that ultimately needed to be replaced. Beware and get a second opinion. By the way, I agree with the reviews below...stay away from this company! We have used them for years and I am not sure where they have gone awry and are doing dirty business to protect their bottom line. It is a stretch to even give them one star...it should be zero stars given they basically stole about $3,000 from us!

Then they decided it was our thermostat. Long story short I convinced my husband to try someone else and they fixed the problem in less than an hour. The Modern Cooling guys didn't know enough about Nest thermostats to know that they'd set it on eco which turns on only when movement is detected and the unit is covered by a door so it just never turned on. We complained. No offer to refund any of our money. Run away.

I called his cell phone number (972-234-5527) and left a message at 3pm and he returned my call at 6pm. I described the problem for him over the phone and he suspected that the problem was with the outside meter box. Craig suggested that I should contact Oncor to come out and check the meter first; he then gave me the Oncor phone number and even told me what to tell Oncor so that they will come out to the house ASAP. Oncor came out to our house and got the problem fixed by 8:30pm. The problem was caused by loose/corroded connection in the under-ground electrical box. We now have bright lighting through-out the house and all kitchen appliances are now working fine with no issues. Craig will be my go to electrician for all my future electrical needs. By the way, we got the problem fixed without spending any $$$. You cannot ask for anymore than this.
