Despite having to remove residue gel polish, my technician, Lupita, was very good natured. Her English was perfect so we were able o chat about the area and her family. She appreciated my need for ridiculously short nails given that I run and my propensity to lose toenails when they're even remotely long. Still, she made them look fun for my vacation--bright red with confetti topping. There's nothing like enjoying the view of confetti while sipping cocktails and watching the waves roll in. Later in the day, I managed to scrape a bit of polish from a toe. Upon returning to the salon, they kindly fixed my error... including my confetti. I highly recommend POSH Salon and Lupita.

Upon entering, I was greeted warmly and provided a pedicure chair and bowl. There were only 2 women working who were doing nails and I had a wait about 15 minutes as they finished someone else. There was also a receptionist and someone doing facial/spa services in the back. Diana did my toes she was very kind, gentle, and thorough with my pedicure. She did an exfoliating scrub massage on my feet and legs that almost put me to sleep and whatever product that was used smelled amazing. She really took her time and my nails came out great. It was probably one of the best pedicures I've had in a long time. The total with gel polish was 450 pesos + a 5% fee for credit cards, so about $25! I'm so happy I made the stop.

They have a nice peaceful space outside to rest and lay out too (however beware of mosquitoes-they love me) You can actually make an appointment to just use the amenities without having to book a service (if there is room, like when it's slow season...clients with spa appointments always get priority) The massages I have gotten there have been wonderful. I strongly recommend Beatriz (Betty)! Book her and keep her busy Good pressure, strong hands, attentive and friendly (speaks English ) I got three 80minute Swedish Massages! A lot of the spa amenities were also closed or non-operational today. No outside Swiss showers and the large coed hot tub wasn't working. My wife and I did use the smaller outdoor hot tub (we were told rather rudely that the hot tub we were in was "men only" - no signs and everyone was wearing bathing suits in the outdoor area so not sure why this was a rule). Like many of the facilities at Vidanta - which attempts to cater to all price points, they fall far short in the luxury category. You can't make all the people happy all the time, even though they try. The massage technicians were ok. The facility itself was poorly designed and in need of repair. As in there are loose - sharp - tiles in the steam room. In a room where there is always limited visibility, do you really want sharp little 1" tiles loose right where someone will sit bare assed? Overall, this is probably an amazing spa for someone who has never been to an amazing spa. If you've been to a decent spa you'd probably think this was OK. If you been to a really nice spa (in PVR, the Hotel Mousai spa is probably the best) you'd sit in the hot tub and write this review to warn others. Update: bill for a 50 minute couples massage - no add ons - $10k+ (Pesos). So out the door over US$700. More than what we pay at the Wynn Las Vegas!

She brought all of her own products including makeup, hair (they were Moroccan oil-based and smelled amazing), and was even equipped with a ring light. You can tell she is equally experienced in both makeup and hair. My curls were perfect and lasted in the humidity. My makeup didn't smear or smudge at all for the rest of the evening. The look was exactly what I hoped for and matched the styles I sent her. I love Irene's passion for what she does and keen attention to detail. I will be booking her next time we come back.
