Amenities were good (it's kinda a small spa area) where they have a steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and cold dip pool (brrrr). Bathing suits required in spa area. Spa water, Ice cold face towels/cucumber slices available. You can wear your own sandals or they can provide. Robes and lockers provided too. Wished there were more areas to layout closer to the amenities. They have a nice peaceful space outside to rest and lay out too (however beware of mosquitoes-they love me) You can actually make an appointment to just use the amenities without having to book a service (if there is room, like when it's slow season...clients with spa appointments always get priority) The massages I have gotten there have been wonderful. I strongly recommend Beatriz (Betty)! Book her and keep her busy Good pressure, strong hands, attentive and friendly (speaks English ) I got three 80minute Swedish Massages! Each time was better than the last! (My sister joined me once too and we were able to be in the same room, however she does NOT recommend getting Argelia unless you just want to be rubbed. The "better" spa at the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta is Spatium - next to Grand Luxxe Tower 5. I write this review while sitting in the indoor hot tub. FYI there is no Wi-Fi in the spa. A lot of the spa amenities were also closed or non-operational today. No outside Swiss showers and the large coed hot tub wasn't working. My wife and I did use the smaller outdoor hot tub (we were told rather rudely that the hot tub we were in was "men only" - no signs and everyone was wearing bathing suits in the outdoor area so not sure why this was a rule). Like many of the facilities at Vidanta - which attempts to cater to all price points, they fall far short in the luxury category. You can't make all the people happy all the time, even though they try. The massage technicians were ok. The facility itself was poorly designed and in need of repair. As in there are loose - sharp - tiles in the steam room. In a room where there is always limited visibility, do you really want sharp little 1" tiles loose right where someone will sit bare assed? Overall, this is probably an amazing spa for someone who has never been to an amazing spa. If you've been to a decent spa you'd probably think this was OK. If you been to a really nice spa (in PVR, the Hotel Mousai spa is probably the best) you'd sit in the hot tub and write this review to warn others. Update: bill for a 50 minute couples massage - no add ons - $10k+ (Pesos). So out the door over US$700. More than what we pay at the Wynn Las Vegas! read more

I just came back from the trip to Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta l had 50 minutes of relaxing massage and 25 minutes facial done at the Spatium spa. It was amazing. Masseuse Blanca was very experienced and nice. The facility has beautiful decor and very clean. I highly recommend this place and looking forward to come back during my next trip. read more

Exceptional spa for total relaxation and good health. I had the mist wonderful full body massage 80 minutes with hot stones. It was the the ultimate because of the cleanliness, background music, comfort, luxurious product line used and professional masseuse. Prior to massage, I was able to use the steam room, sauna, showers and whirlpool tub. After the massage, you can relax on beautiful beds in a gorgeous Garden. Cleansing drinks are offered also. It's a wonderful experience which should not be missed. I have come here often but this was the best massage I received. If you are lucky as I was, the massage was half price probably because they did not have enough people on that day. It actually came out to $100 for 80 minutes of bliss. read more

Off the charts amazing experience! The Spatium Spa pampered my husband and I for a 'Spa Romance' day while on our honeymoon at The Grand Luxxe Residence Club. We were shuttled over to an area of the mega resort to what felt like a step into a land of Zen and tranquility. It was completely away from the hustle and rush of the resorts at Vidante. We checked in about an hour before our treatment was to begin, so that we could take advantage of the Spatium Spa's beautiful and relaxing hydromassage areas. For this part, my husband and I were obviously separate. I was offered chlorophyll water, hibiscus water or plain bottled water before my journey was to begin. Same for him. Chlorophyll water is said to have detoxing properties and to be super healthy; I personally love the taste and find it super refreshing. Much needed after this week of tequila, champagne and all the vices I don't indulge in on the daily! I was taken back to the ladies area where I was given a personal key card for my locker which housed a silk/ terry robe; Sensi flip flops. (remarkably in my size for my super small feet!); a luxurious towel; a glass and phone leather holder too. The 'banos' are nice with areas for blow drying hair complete with sanitized brushes; lotions; refresher sprays ; hair gels and etc. I was then shown the hydromassage area. Very peaceful music plays for the extra calming effect. I was super impressed at how pretty, relaxing and clean it all was and how many things were offered: A jacuzzi with cool lemony mint towels and cucumbers for the face; a water area with nuts and berries and chlorophyll water , more towels and cups; the chilling plunge pool for the super brave! The sauna and the vapor steam room, followed by a Suisse Shower with heat and cool waters shooting at you from every angle! There is even a bathing suit dryer to swiftly dry your bathing suit ! I felt perfectly relaxed by the time the girl came to collect me for our couples massage. The massage was 80 minutes in duration starting with an exfoliant of the feet , the back, the legs... all of the major muscles were massaged with amazing warm, calming oils , heat and finishing with the cranial sanctum on the face and a mint towel. My muscles needed this! The room was dimly lit, cool, and very Zen and full of peace. They decorated this room in fresh flower petals for our honeymoon.. very cute:) Afterward , we were then taken to a private breezy cabana in the Spas private garden .. where there was a bottle of French champagne, two flutes, a box of French macarons and chocolates and skewers of fruits. We loved this area! So breezy amongst the refuge of palms and tropical trees.. this was a perfect splurge on our honeymoon and one I highly recommend! $250/4950 pesos for all of this ! We thought it was a great deal. The spa and its staff were amazing , all very professional and attentive. I can't wait to return to do this again and partake in one of their facials .. This full service spa is exclusive to the Grand Luxxe Residence Club guests and also has salon services and makeup too, in case you decide to just get married here OR ??? Make your reservations via your floor concierge .. there is a 6 hour change policy :) We left wanting more!! ;) read more

The facility is beautiful and the people are nice. I had a facial which was great but the manicure and pedicure was awful. The polish was all over my toes and fingers, Basically she polished my nail bed and skin and then went around it with an orange wood stick to clean them all and she cut me.. While we were staying at the resort, my husband and I decided to get a couple's massage -- I am pregnant, so the idea of the prenatal massage was very appealing. I called from our room to get an idea on pricing and to schedule something. They told me it would be $121 total for the both of us (60 minute). I expected it to cost more than that, so I repeated the price back to her and clarified "Total? USD?" and she confirmed. Because it was so affordable for an hour massage, we opted to take them up on their suggestion of a wrap, as well. I am in accounting and HR, so it's my natural instinct to take notes of amounts, times, locations, etc, I made these notes on the pad by the phone. When we arrived at our appointment, they told us the total would be $821 dollars USD -- we were shocked. We told them that that was so much higher than we were quoted and asked why that was...they said I was wrong. They said she never would've quoted me for that amount. I told them I was CERTAIN, they insisted I was wrong. I told them that we couldn't afford that and that we needed to cancel. They again, very bluntly, told us we were not allowed to cancel because we didn't cancel 6hrs prior. They told us they were going to apply the $800+ charge to our room regardless, so we might as well get the massage. It was so extremely expensive, it was impossible to even enjoy ourselves. It really put a damper on the rest of the day. It was extremely frustrating that they made no effort to make it right. And when I referred back to my notes in the room, it confirmed our expectations of the cost. read more
