I scheduled my entire week around this appointment that I booked weeks ago all for nothing!!!! Those of us with jobs who can't make 10 AM appts or accept calls while at work need to look elsewhere. This place is an absolute joke and complete waste of time and they give zero fks about you, your time, and your injuries. I've had to do several rounds of physical therapy and never was it so incredibly difficult to get scheduled. I moved out here a few years ago and have a work-related injury and the doctor found this place as it was close to my home. I always went to Vibrant Care before and had great providers with flexible scheduling and genuinely cared about my wellbeing. At this place you are just a number and oh well if you don't know all their secret internal policies that make you confirm the appointment you already confirmed LOL!!!! I was told I had fluid in my knee, and needed my orthopedic surgeon to check it out. I got an appointment today 11/5 to make sure it's not something serious. I was called by the front desk woman on Thursday, telling me they needed to update my insurance and they would check it and get back to me. Friday, I had the same thing happen and still no one checked my insurance which I was not aware of. I got the day off, drove from Sacramento to come all the way to Manteca for Dr.Pettigrew to look at the fluid in my knee and tell me how we proceed. I was told at the desk that they don't can't take my insurance since I'm not on HPSJ anymore I'm just straight Medi-Cal. After talking to the nurse Allie, I am appalled at how she talks and cares for people in her office. Coming from a nursing student, and someone who wants to make a difference and help people in their time of need I can tell she doesn't care about anyone but herself, and her paycheck. I asked for Dr.Pettigrew to come out and speak to me (which he didn't, and that's rude in itself) she came out with a full blown attitude and told me they won't take my insurance (obviously). I told her I'm a single mom, and needed the money from working today if they weren't going to take me they should have called and expressed that after they called me twice already. I asked her if she knew anyone who did take straight medi-cal and she said "that's not my job". She should NOT be working in a place for patients if she's not going to be THERE for the patients. I told her she had a bad review coming and she walked away when I needed to still ask for my records. She yelled "I'll send them" as she walked away without even confirming if she had my email. Women like her should be plucked out of the medical industry because people like her only care about the bottom line. I am also upset at Dr. Pettigrew. If a patient wants to speak to the doctor, he should be able to give me a few minutes to talk to me instead of sending a nurse who couldn't care less. I would give 0 stars if I could. So, time passed, I went up a few times to check how long it would be, and I was given excuse after excuse. First, they could not find his chart, etc. I think I stayed out of morbid curiosity to see how long it would take to be seen. This is the most unorganized office I have ever seen...ever!! If you have any option other than this office, I would take it. I know there are good and bad days...I worked in the medical field as an RN. I would not feel so strongly about this office were it not for five other patients I saw mistreated while we were waiting. My 9 year old was escorted to each station and then after she was told what to do the therapist walked away. She never had anyone correct her or encourage her that she was doing it right. I actually had to step in with my limited PT knowledge to coach her through the motions. Then when I tried to book her future appointments the availability was non existent. She was only able to get one appointment every two weeks. With physical therapy constancy is key and we weren't getting that. We are back today and I am pleasantly surprised at the experience. Bre seems to genuinely care about the progress and has stayed with my 9 year old correcting and encouraging the whole time. I hope future appointments are more like this.

Start of the visit went well enough she let me know right away that she can handle my meds for me. She was willing to give me a bridge Rx for my pain meds while I found a pain specialist. Well, by the end of the visit she said she wouldn't give me the bridge script because "I don't prescribe narcotics for any reason." WTF, she literally told me that she would help until I found a pain specialist. I have been going to a pain doctor for three years. They can see from my records is that I have been on the same dose this whole time. I haven't been fishing for more. All of my UIs have come back clean. Honestly I am a model patient. Then, they never sent the referral to the pain doctor she personally recommended me to!!! Maybe she is OK if you sprain your ankle but if you have serious health issues and chronic pain like me find someone else. She Will trivialize your pain while patronizing you the whole time. Worst doctor I have had to deal with in a long time. Stay away.
