Hello lower back pain, We are going to see Dr. Jon Serafin, again! It has been several years and it's time to go. My first time going to chiropractor was VERY scary and intimidating at 40-yrs old, took a few times to get past the anxiety. I appreciated the time and patience Dr. Serafin took with me. He explained how adjustments help to align the body, and why many people do need it. I didn't realize how much I was using other back muscles to compensate for my lower back. We put extra pressure on our knees, hips, joints when doing so. Recently, I've strained lower back pretty good, I can feel pain in the the joint, left glute on over to left hip. I'm taking a few days to rest the strained muscle. I'm very excited about my appointment this Thursday. I remember how GREAT I felt afterwards. Super down to earth doctor. He talks to you like a close buddy but not in a disrespectful way. I've been seeing him regularly since moving here in April. He listens to your concerns and always ensures he's concentrating on the correct problem areas. I have not felt this good since high school, honestly. My goodness, I called ahead to make sure that John who is the chiropractor would be able to see me today as my neck was killing me. I get there, fill out a ton of paperwork, and wait for 30+ minutes as he sits in the back playing on his computer with not another patient in sight. Come to find out he's making me wait because he's waiting for a phone call from my attorney. I call my attorney and he says the attorney must call him on his phone. I ask him why he can't speak with him now being I've been waiting so long and he sneers at me and tells me to "F'OFF!" Yes he actually used profanity with a patient, as promised I told him I would post a review on yelp. Dr. Serafin (Jon) is very caring, friendly and does his best to help patients feel better. He makes himself available to his patients even when they do not have an appointment. When I was rear-ended earlier this year, I called him to ask advice on how to make recovery quicker, he said to come in right away and met me at his office to be adjusted me before the full affects of the accident hit me like a brick (he was closed at the time and made a special trip). I have been to a few chiropractors and always feel worse after the adjustment due to the sheer amount of force most doctors use, I do not have that issue when Jon adjusts me, I simply feel relief. Do not believe the negative comment from Zack, I have never waited more than 15-20 minutes to be seen, even when I do not have an appointment!
