My son is thriving at TGS. Public school was literally making him sick (stomach aches/head aches)…read more As an honors student with social/emotional challenges, public school was a tough place to reach his full potential. He kept his head down and flew under the radar and was diagnosed with high functioning ASD in 9th grade. TGS knocks down the walls of judgment against neurodiverse kids that exist in public schools and give them new tools to achieve their potential each day in creative ways so that kids learn to express themselves and feel heard and accepted.

My son will begin his third year at The Temple Grandin School in Boulder and it has been a life…read moresaver for him and our family. My son has been able to get out of his defensive mode (which has obstructed his ability to learn) because he is finally receiving the necessary accommodations for his Aspergers and ADHD learning profile. The school, with its amazing and dedicated staff, has helped him move forward not only with his academics, but has provided valuable tools to help him with his social skills and emotional regulation as well. He looks forward to going to school now and feels grateful to be in a place where he is valued, respected and understood. We love the community and integrity that comes along with The Temple Grandin School and we have much hope for our son's future accomplishments.

Umm, Racist? The one star reviewer here obviously is just disgruntled because she didn't get…read morehired. There is far more ethnic diversity here than in any other school in Boulder County, which, predominantly racially homogeneous. There are countless Latino, Asian, and Indian families in our community, both in the student body and faculty and all are welcomed. Yes, the application process is rigorous. Why do you think this school is ranked #1 in Colorado and in the US Top 100 schools year after year? Now the real gripe I have that has moved me from 5 to 4 stars in the last two years is the encroachment of BVSD traditional meat grinder education that is seeping into the school little by little. We chose to come here to escape the "One size fits all" and "teach to the lowest common denominator" educational platform offered by public schools. But after the founders moved on and district administrators came in they have adopted BVSD programs and the model has shifted greatly. Today it is looking more like a regular public school, even common core math was implemented as well as Michelle O's school lunch mandates. We chose P2P to get away from this and now they have moved the whole school backwards when nothing was broken and for the first time last year we did not win a John Irwin award nor did we rank in the top 100 list. Why is it that we look at a school that is operating beyond excellence and decide we need to change it? GFS, Father of two P2P students Grades 5 & 6 who have been there since Kindergarten
