My wife and I were car camping 3 miles south of I-70 in a juniper and pinyon loose sand camping spot. We awoke to a very much unforcasted snow storm. 10 inches of 33 degree wet heavy snow and falling heavily. Because we knew that when the snow melted, it would saturate the sand making it literally impossible to drive on.So we wanted out quick. We drove but the snow obscured the sand road and we nose dived into a ditch and could not retreat. Called Tina at Steele, she learned our plight and sent out Mike with a tracked skid steer. After some tricky locating, he pulled us out and, using the compacted snow tracks he made, we were able to drive to I-70 before melt. In addition to the facts, it was Mike's commitment to finding us and insuring our safety that was so comforting. Tina kept in touch and even checked in with us much later in the day. We were about 100 miles west of Moab, UT when our transmission gave out. RJ was contacted by Good…read moreSam Roadside Assistance operator. He and his wife came promptly to tow us and our 5th wheel to Moab. RJ also does repairs and offered to replace our transmission. It had to come from Milwaukee to his supplier. When his supplier failed to deliver it right away RJ went the extra mile (actually 500 miles round trip) to get it so we could get back on the road as soon as possible. The repair was done correctly and within the estimated cost. We are VERY PLEASED and feel like we now have a new friend.
