I can't be more pleased with C & G Mobile Mechanic. Mid December I took my boys to do the Goblin Valley area slot canyons. We were 24 miles from our destination while my truck (Nissan) started to run really rough to the point that I had to keep pulling over (on route 24 about 10 miles from the Goblin Valley turn off) and turn the engine off for a few seconds. The truck was still running but quickly deteriorating with the engine getting really rough. I finally pulled over and made a call while I had one bar (I was about to lose any communication if I continued to the destination). While I was on the phone a man pulled over to check on us. He was on his way to Colorado to pick up some parts for someone in Hanksville. His name was Andy and owns Alexander's Towing in Hanksville (and Santaquin). He was genuinely concerned with our situation and was relieved that the truck was still running. He created a plan fairly quickly. He told me that if I was able to get the truck to Hanksville (about 20 miles down Route 24) that he had a guy that would be able to run the codes and figure out what would be needed. He then could add the parts for me to what he was picking up in Grand Junction and bring them back with him to get us back on the road that day. I was able to get the truck to Hanksville (in overdrive) and meet up with Garrett (from C & G Mobile Mechanic) were he ran the codes and had the problem figured out fairly quickly. He called Andy and ordered the parts. By the end of the day, he had washed the truck and had all the spark plugs and coils replaced. He took the time to explain everything and show me the issues that I was having with the truck. Honestly, I am very grateful for Garrett's help and knowledge. As I talked with him throughout the day, it was obvious that he knows his stuff (like really well) and is a very honest. He was upfront with what was needed and talked to me about the options and the costs. Overall, a day that could have been disastrous, resulted in a longer day than expected with my truck running much better than it has for years. In fact, the engine is noticeably stronger and I am getting better MPG than I have had for a few years. I couldn't be more pleased. read more

I dont usually write reviews, but this is one person that went above and beyond in helping us out with our recent break when we were coming home from Lake Powell. Our tow vehicle had a serpentine belt break and left us stranded in the middle of nowhere on a Saturday afternoon. As we called around for help, most of the repair shops around pretty much told us they couldn't help us for 3-4 days. I called C & G and didn't get an answer. Garrett called me back about 20 minutes later, and after explaining our predicament, told me he could help me out. HE even told me he could have us fixed up by that night. Garrett went and assessed our issue and towed my vehicle back into town. He sent one of his workers to get parts from Richfield 2 hours away. When the parts arrived, he started to fix our car at 11:00 pm. Not only did he fix the belt and pulleys, he also helped get our radiator working better and made some other adjustment. At 1:00 we were fixed. I wish it ended there, but want to let you know what an awesome guy Garrett is. As we were leaving town, we heard a grating and scraping noise from the rear driver brakes. Turns out they had also reached the end of thier life and were grating against the rotor. We called Garrett again and he happily took us to his other shop and started working to get our brakes so we could safely pull our boat home. He did not have the exact brake pads, but cleverly made a set custom that fit our brakes and even "machined" the rotor there in place. I was floored at how he could come up with a solution to make it work. At 3:45 AM (thats right... AM as in morning) we finally were back on the road Garrett was kind and patient through this whole process. He was concerned about our well being and worked through the night to help us out. I couldn't say more how he is a great person and genuine human. He even texted us a couple of times on the way home to make sure we were OK. One last thing.... Garrett is not out there to screw you over even though you are in a bad predicament. His work is great and his costs are reasonable. Thanks Garrett.... We are so appreciative read more

Had a radiator hose burst while traveling through Torrey. After a couple of phone calls with people that didn't seem to care too much, we found Garrett. First, he was incredibly friendly and helpful. I know next to nothing about cars. I'm pretty sure my wife laughed out loud the last time someone even hinted that I might be mechanically inclined. He offered to provide a tow, but also gave me instructions to get my car running so that I could drive to him if I wanted to avoid the tow. we chose the latter option. He checked in on us periodically as we made our way to him. Once we arrived at his shop, he dropped what he was doing to get us back on the road. Garrett was knowledgeable and efficient. he fixed us up and got us back in the road pretty quickly. He even provided us with a pretty solid suggestion for milkshakes just down the road. On top of providing excellent service, he was more than reasonable in his pricing. If you have car trouble in his service area, definitely give him a call. read more

We were driving from Capitol Reef NP to Moab on a Saturday morning when the engine of our little RV started making a horrible noise. We were so lucky to get referred to Garrett, who recognized right away that it was a blown spark plug. He not only got it fixed within a few hours, he showed my husband what to do if another plug blew and even gave him a socket wrench that we'd need. It turned a potential disaster into a good experience, and increased our faith in humanity and the kindness of strangers. We recommend C & G highly and are grateful to have met Garrett! read more

Once again I found myself in Hanksville with a flat tire on a weekend. I was just about to make the hour+ drive (each way) on my spare to Green River which really takes a big chunk out of the day when a local told me about Garrette at C&G. I gave him a call and within a few minutes he was patching my tire. he was personable, kind and great at what he does. He even threw in some rock hounding tips.
