I was on Vacation & my phone wouldn't allow me to do anything! Called my provider ( Straight Talk ) and was told service was out in the area and would take about 48 hrs to fix. I took it at that & within 10 minutes a worker from where I was staying told me they had straight talk & it worked fine, even let me use his phone. He recommended Alex and that's where I went... This AMAZING guy took my phone within 5 minutes if that advised me that my phone wouldn't update and I needed a new phone, in which made sense due to me having issues 1 month before and had to purchase a new Sims card. He sent me to Walmart I purchased a $39 phone took it back & this guy set up absolutely everything on my new device and kept me informed on what he was doing, best part about it he didn't charge me a fortune! I honestly wished I had an Alex back home because he & his crew were absolutely hands down THE BEST! I would totally drive 5 hours to his shop if I had to! Dropped off a Samsung tablet on a Friday afternoon with the promise I would have it back by Sunday with a text notification that it was completed. Sunday comes and goes with no notification. I start calling on Monday and either get "Alex? He be back in 30 minutes." "Alex? He not here. Call tomorrow." Or no one picks up the phone at all. By the following Wednesday, fed up with obvious BS and lack of communication, I finally get in touch with one of the two women who work in this wireless repair shop/bodega/botanica/illegal call center and she tells me, "Alex? he be back in trenta (30) minutes." I arrive then. No one (pretended to) speak English and then proceeded to correct my Spanish, rather than answer me. "Alex no here. Ju come back manana." She told me. I said, "Reparar or no reparar, da me" (repaired or not repaired, give me my tablet back) They took their sweet time and finally found it exactly where Alex had left it when I dropped it off fiove days ago. Long story short I dropped off a phone to be repaired. They said it'd be done in one day two days later I called to see if it was finished. I was hung up on two times the third time. I couldn't understand what they were saying, but their hours stated that they were open until 10 PM. I'm sitting in the parking lot at 6:54 PM and they're closed on a Saturday even though they state they're open until 10. The store needs to change their hours online. read more

I brought my phone to Alex's, hoping that he would be able to fix it ,instead of having to get a new one, because the battery had swelled and popped open the side of the case. He had to order the correct battery, which took 2 days. I was originally told the repair would take about a half an hour, which turned out to be over an hour, but all in all I'm very pleased! Took my mom's Iphone to Alex. Thought it had bit the dust. He assured me all he needed to do was fix the cracked screen and it would fix everything that was wrong with it. He said if it doesn't you can use the $70 toward purchase of a new phone. He was right! It did!!! He also replaced the battery which was a huge improvement for the phone as well. Thought we were going To have to spend hundreds of dollars on a new phone- ATT store only had IPhone 13's starting at $899. Went to Alex to get a battery replaced on my iPhone 6s. Alex was great. Replaced the battery with a smile. 10 minutes i was out of the store. Problem is i was asked to pay cash and was not given a receipt. I was in shock. This didn't feel right. About a week later, my iPhone started to crack at the seams. All of a sudden the battery swelled to the size of a lemon destroying the entire iPhone as it grew. I couldn't believe it. The iPhone was totally destroyed. I couldn't claim that it was their fault. No receipt and the warranty was voided when he opened the iPhone to remove the battery. My iPhone was only a year old. I am lucky it didn't explode or catch fire. My dealer told me that people have come in with problems because of Alex's repairs. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Go to a certified technician. read more

This place is a rip off. They take pieces from your phone and put them into other phones they're working on. They're never finished when they say they will be and your phone never works the same. DO NOT HAVE YOUR PHONE FIXED HERE!! U. S. Cellular has stopped recommending this business!! Alex told my son that he would email a receipt to him, but still hasn't done that. He took his phone in to have the screen repaired, he had to wait 24 hours to get it back because the glue wasn't done drying. 6 hours after getting his phone back the screen cracked while he was texting. He took it back to Alex and was told that he voided the warranty, but my son was never told about a warranty and he never signed anything. While they were "fixing" his phone they somehow uninstalled all of his music. The phone now hardly works at all. read more

I dropped my phone off at Alex's to get a new battery. Over the course of 5 weeks I returned every week to pick up my phone and it was never fixed. Each time I came in I waited at least a half an hour or longer while they serviced other people that walked in after me. Then I was told that my phone was complicated and they would need to transfer my pictures to a disc. I went to Walmart and bought a disc and took it back there. I returned there two more times and still my photos were not on the disc. The phone still was not ready. They did tell me they figured out the battery problem and put a new one in at the price of three times more of what the battery should have cost. I told them go ahead and take the battery out just transfer the pictures and I'll be happy I don't need the phone. Again I return to the shop and the technician started to tell me how long he had worked on my phone. But again it was not ready. At this point I just wanted to get my phone and leave. I told them I would be back the next day to get my phone. When I returned they hand me my phone in a bag, the battery out of it, nothing fixed and nothing transferred. This is the worst service I have ever experienced in my life and the most unprofessionalism I can ever claim I've been witness to. They need to get some organizational skills and somebody needs to show them how to operate a business and be a "people person" because they are not.
