We decided to try Celine Travel because the reviews on Trip Advisor were so great. We were…read moreimpressed and treated very well by all of our drivers, so thank you Celine Travel! We were visiting London for three weeks as our dog was having heart surgery at the RVC in Hertfordshire. We needed a ride to the hospital for his visits and our ride back to the hotel to take him home after surgery. Celine Travel had a very easy to use website that let you specify how much luggage you have, and what size of car you will need. They were VERY nice to us and our dog. Our dog is very well behaved in the car, but it's hard to find drivers in London that are dog friendly and willing to risk the cleanliness of their car. We had numerous Ubers cancel as soon as we told them we had a dog. Catalin Neascu picked us up at the airport and dropped us off when we left. When we arrived at Heathrow, Catalin was waiting for us at our Terminal and helped us take our luggage to his spacious car. He made sure we were at the right Terminal when we left as well. Iulian drove us to the RVC (and was knowledgeable of the area). We had a lovely conversation about dogs and electric vehicles which made the drive interesting and funny. Robert Pop was a trooper because he drove us through fresh snow even though his car wasn't the best fit for snow. The pricing isn't that much more than an Uber, so I highly recommend booking them online or calling them for the peace of mind. We paid ahead of time with PayPal every time and got multiple emails confirming that our driver would be there and who our driver was. Thank you, Celine Travel! If we ever fly from Seattle to London again, we will be in touch!

The car arrived without a baby chair, and when I called the office they told me that they are not obliged to provide a baby chair. When it was clearly confirmed in my booking that I get the baby chair. The owner of the company tried to put the blame on me, accusing me that I did not read their terms&conditions in details. The worst part was that she was truly hostile and impolite (just try calling for any issue and you will notice the welcoming tone!!) moreover, she criticised my accent and the fact that I was a "foreigner" (like her mind you!!!) which is clearly racist. All of it not to apologise and accept that they were wrong. And on the edge of "legality" by accepting a trip with a one year old without a secured chair... Bad service!

    Pinner Tube Station

My friend recently moved a bit further west and from where I was in London, a quick jump to the…read moreMetropolitan Line and a ride out to Harrow was the easiest way to get there. It's a nice station that is a bit more "overground" than "underground", meaning that it just doesn't look like a Tube station. Pinner is in Travelcard Zone 5, between North Harrow and Northwood Hills on the Amersham/Chesham branch. Trains from here into London go to Baker Street and sometimes further. There is a staffed ticket booth and automated ticket vending machines as well as the usual ticket barricades and Oyster readers. Surprisingly, this station is completely step-free, which earns it a fourth star in my rating guidelines. Just outside and across the way is a full-size Sainsbury's and a mini-cab taxi office is attached to the station. Note that the Tube does not run all night. There is a last train into London, generally between 12:00-12:30 am on weeknights and 11:30-12:00 on Sunday's.

My local station. It serves the Metropolitan Line and is on the Watford/Amersham/Chesham branch…read more The station has been upgraded and boasts lifts thereby allowing step free access. During peak times, only All Stations or Semi-fast trains stops at Pinner so the frequency is but less compared to Harrow-on-the-hill but not a big issue. If I happen to get a slow train I jump into a fast at Harrow-on-the-hill. The southbound platform has a news agents and also toilet facilities reminding one of how stations were in the past. A good mix of old and new the station is a small two platform one. The main entrance to the station is to the south-bound however the northbound has an exit which is open during peak times which is convenient for me. The station car park is huge and is attached to a large Sainsbury's.
