It's a really cool designed building. It has squares and spheres coming together with terra cotta tiles in an Iberian-Renaissance style, which matches San Antonio's Spanish roots. Spain is one of the six flags that has flown over Texas, after all! They have Jewish services, with a great Torah that they bring out occasionally. It's magnificent. The synagogue has great acoustics for concerts or lectures or services. The parking is easy, and everyone was quite welcoming and happy to have me there.

But the best part was the offer of free childcare during mass for kids 12-52 months old. All you have to do is sign them in! There's a whole play room right outside the sanctuary with puzzles, books, a sink, and little toys (no restroom though). That it is called Noah's Ark made me stop in halfway through mass to make sure it wasn't filled with screaming, yelling, and crying babies, and thank goodness the 4 monitors in there had it all under control. DD was really happy to play for an hour instead of constantly being shushed during mass.

We started marriage classes in February with Monsignor Mike. He's a wonderful man and we felt at ease with him immediately.
