we went to 4-5 "nicer" restaurants in oaxaca and this was the best. better than casa oaxaca, los devantes, teocintle, and origen (which was close runner up)
this was the closest thing to a home cooked meal at someone's home. it was a very diverse, but not too eccentric, menu. each dish truly tasted like it was made with love.
you will need to cab it if you go from downtown oaxaca and they can help you get a cab on the way back. it should be 300 pesos max. the restaurant can help you get a cab for the way back if needed. its worth a trek. just such a nice change from all the restaurants other than street food.
