They let me know that the technician would have all the necessary parts and tools for whatever option I go with (very convenient). Technician Sam called me to notify he was on the way and when he arrived outside. Upon arrival, he inspected our garage and said it would be more than quoted since I had a heavy door (~$400-500). He provided us with two different priced options, differing in expected lifespan and labor (~$100) warranties. The job was estimated to take around 30 mins, depending on if there was complications with the existing parts. Sam was very professional and knowledgeable with all the mechanics and components. He let us know more about what we had installed and what could potentially fail or cause us issues in the future. He also gave us recommendations on how to properly maintain the garage door to prolong it's functionality and life. After we made our choice, he began working right away. During this time, he came to get our attention and let us know that the bearings needed to be replaced soon and we just asked him to do them since it was already disassembled and the labor cost was flat rate. It all ended up taking closer to an hour, and despite the higher than anticipated expense... we felt very assured and satisfied with the outcome we received. They were pretty pushy and basically didn't have any answers. I would ask them, then they would have to ask someone else? You don't know how much your services cost? After they finally gave me a quote, I asked them to also provide pricing for just the door with installation, no opener, and they told me that if I had anymore questions then I needed to call. Simple question, simple answer. Also, why would you have people responding bro Yelp messages that don't know how to provide rough estimates? A little advice from someone who is in business myself - teach the people answering yelp messages about your pricing, and focus more on customer service than winning the job.
