In fact, it is a domestic beer! Also, for a substitution pepprocini peppers instead of green peppers we got charged five dollars extra. It wasn't explained to us that they don't do that normally which is what I should've been informed of in the beginning. The server did apologize though. She did get it taken off of our bill which was appreciated. Food was OK, but once the Customer Service experience starts to break down, it just doesn't taste as good as it probably would've. We were excited to try this place because we saw a lot of good reviews, but didn't think it was as good quality as most of the reviews stated.

I got chicken parm. It too, was over cooked and came with the same very thin, kind of tasteless meat sauce. Oddly, the slice of cheese on it wasn't really melted. The side Caesar salad had good lettuce but just had Parmesan cheese from a shaker, would have been much better with shaved cheese. My wife did like her pizza so maybe that's the thing to order here? Service was good and it does have a nice setting.

Traveling down from Indianapolis for a meeting, my coworkers lauded the breadsticks of BBP. Guarantees and promises and expectations almighty! I bought into the hype. Arriving during the "lunch-bunch" showed off the local reputation of Bobe's. This place was bustling as bustling gets - everybody was here! After an appropriate wait, I moseyed outside to put these cheesy claims to the test. While the breadsticks were banging by buck, my mini pizza went on with a whimper. One of those "bite me and I fall apart" slices. Unfortunately, man cannot live by bread(sticks) alone - and for that - I'm out.

I asked for light on the Red Sox and they delivered. Great sauce really sweet as a nice flavor profile to it. I also made my own salad lots of toppings on the salad barn and a vague plus is the Mullins French dressing made over and new Palestine Illinois just across the river from my hometown. The service was great. Hillary is fantastic and really took care of my needs for refills and checking on me. The staff is very professional and friendly. The dining room as well kept they keep the tables clear for walk-ins since you don't need to make reservations or don't have a hostess to see you. Local Business been in business for several years third generation now operating it. The dining room has some really neat pictures of old buildings around town and landmarks of the community.

And did I mention hungry. Based upon some recommendations I came in and wanted to see if the spot was what I wanted and it delivered. Well I did not have the pizza deliver but well you know. In a single room I walked in and found the spot crowded but still had a space for me. I sat down and was greeted promptly. Ordered some toasted ravioli and then followed up with a thin crust Joes Deluxe. Ravioli arrived and a whiff told me things my sight could not discern. Aromatic equated to delightful. At first sight this must have been made in house. A bite. Come on man. Packing a serious punch. Dipped in the accompanying sauce meatier à la plentiful. I devoured the order. Then the pizza arrived. Let me pause here. The toppings underneath the cheese. Is it possible they were sautéed? For me??? The sausage just spicy enough to keep it interesting. The pepperonis bathed in a sweetness of saucy perfection . Is that hints of basil, simmered perfection? Maybe a family tradition and the only way they could figure out to make it. Like it was a real functioning kitchen. The prep line was not just any prep line. Like Leonardo didn't have just an ordinary paint studio. This was not a Ford pizza factory. They are making some serious Maserati's up in this piece. The ambience. Circa Pizza Hut 1972 or so. I loved every second of it. Thank You for being true to the art, true to the best pizza in town, to the heart of what makes a pizzeria a place where the town gathers even on a Tuesday night.
