Took a long time to get a beer. In fact, our dinners arrived before we got our drinks because the server said Yuenling was not a domestic beer, which was what was on special. In fact, it is a domestic beer! Also, for a substitution pepprocini peppers instead of green peppers we got charged five dollars extra. It wasn't explained to us that they don't do that normally which is what I should've been informed of in the beginning. The server did apologize though. She did get it taken off of our bill which was appreciated. Food was OK, but once the Customer Service experience starts to break down, it just doesn't taste as good as it probably would've. Wasn't very impressed. Didn't really care for the food. Started with fried ravioli. They were way over cooked. And the meat dipping sauce was thin and didn't have much flavor. I got chicken parm. It too, was over cooked and came with the same very thin, kind of tasteless meat sauce. Oddly, the slice of cheese on it wasn't really melted.The side Caesar salad had good lettuce but just had Parmesan cheese from a shaker, would have been much better with shaved cheese. Swung in for lunch during the week hoping to find a good pizza spot for lunch...but this unfortunately wouldn't be a place I will add to my "must stop list.". I thought the bruschetta was ok, but do not use much olive oil but rather mixed their tomatoes with balsamic vinaigrette which I am not much of a fan. Got a 7" thick crust pizza for my meal, let's just say I thought the bruschetta was 10x better which doesn't give much confidence in the pizza. I am a big sauce guy, I felt the sauce was very bland, cheese didn't get me there either. For the first time, and after receiving recommendations from friends, my wife and I went to dinner at Procopio's on Friday, 1/9. We were seated immediately and, while waiting for friends to arrive, enjoyed the fried mushroom appetizer. DELICIOUS! After considering online reviews, I ordered a side salad with hot bacon dressing, which was even better than reviews said. I ordered the Linguini Alfredo with Shrimp and this entree was incredible. Procopio's never disappoints! It is our staple go-to for any pizza or pasta in Vincennes. Their menu is fairly extensive and they're typically packed, but the food always manages to come out hot and in a timely manner. I especially love their new addition to the restaurant, which includes a bar room for 21 and older, as well as a "garage room" where they open the doors for fresh air and patio seating during nice weather. I highly recommend their stuffed pizza, lasagna, or pasta rosa, and their alfredo is to-die-for!! The cool thing is that you can basically mix and match any pasta with any sauce. The world is your oyster! Couple that with a cocktail, wine or beer and top it off with a cannoli, and BOOM!! Great lunch specials and a quick lunch service is also a plus! It was in a thick red sauce, with frozen chicken chunks. I questioned about the olive oil base, and she brushed me off, saying, "I told you it had a lot of tomatoes!" I looked at the red mush, tried it, and meh. Sent it back and asked for olive oil pasta. They served it, it sat on the bar for ten minutes while Crystal walked by it. She brought it to the table 10 minutes later, when my partner was done, and I was done, too! To start off we have been here numerous times and its all been typically good. They have great sauces for pasta (pizza isnt nearly in the same boat) cheese tortellini is excellent. The bosco sticks are fantastic with the meat sauce. That being said, we wont be back after this last time. Very quiet day when we came in, got seated quickly and drinks were quick. Martinis we had were awful, they are not even close to being okay. We tried 3 in total and all were awful. This is not the place for a real martini. Got bosco sticks as an app it was solid, would have been better if 2 of them werent burnt. Ordered dinner and this is where it starts to go further downhill. Pizza ordered was good, got a supreme. Eggplant parm was ordered that had no eggplant. Just asked for it be removed on the bill it wasnt. They offered to remake but it was too little to late that point. Then there was an error with the tortellini ordered which they did correct and for the tiny bit that they gave it was outstanding. As stated above its been typically good overall across the board, but the tip of the iceberg came when payment was happening at the front. We asked about the removal of said eggplant parm and it was deer in headlights look. Refused to do it without saying anything. That was the last straw,she didnt get a manager or the owner(whom has been good about correcting issues so I dont blame him here). Its his staff unfortunately. If his staff becomes improved id consider coming back. Until then not a chance. read more

This is a nice, reliable restaurant in the downtown Vincennes area. While the interior is not particularly glamorous, the food is hearty. I recommend the chicken Parmesan. Parking is easy to find across the street in the garage and the staff are very nice. read more

Came in with a party of 9, they forgot one order of meat balls. I ordered clams in a red sauce . I got beef in a red sauce. Went over it with the waitress and and they brought me clams in a white sauce. Owner comes out and says they only do clams in white, meat or pizza sauce. Sent it back and left without eating. My daughter declared we should just be real & accept that our daughter/momma date night is just strictly for procopios dining now...no more silliness of setting ourselves up anytime we try something different & then we always leave sadly disappointed & just wanting our faces stuffed with the delicate Tiramisu and savory stuffed shells served by some of the friendliest faces & in our opinion the most talented & personally sweet attentive service .in this area. Some friends and I met at Procopio's last night for dinner. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan. It was delicious. The portion size was big. I brought half of it home and finished it today. It came with a side salad and I ordered Italian bread (I love!). The service was great. We had an Bruschetta appetizer also very good. Decided to try something new so son mentioned he had gone here with his church group. Was greeted right away with a friendly "hi" we only waited a few minutes to be seated. The waiter came right away and took our drink order. He suggested the portobello mushrooms. They came out fairly quickly. Loved the crisp breading. We ordered the large specialty pizza. Their customer service was excellent which is why this review has one star. The food was terrible! We ordered the mozzarella sticks, chicken parma and the stuffed pizza. The sauce for the mozzarella sticks was horribly sweet and sadly it was the same sauce they used on the stuffed pizza. The bottom of the stuffed pizza was burnt in places and there was way too much cheese. I never thought I would say that about a pizza!! The Chicken Parma was sadly super thin so it was completely dried out, very sweet as well because they used the same disgusting sweet sauce, and on top of it they used very cheap cheese slices! Trying to figure out what we wanted to do for dinner, I found Procopio's online. I think we tried their pizza one time awhile back, but I looked at the menu. I saw Brushetta, veal, all kinds of pasta that sounded so good. We called for a take out order, and was pleasantly surprised that they delivered. So, I ordered the Brushetta, the veal parmesan dinner with spaghetti. Also, a veal sandwich for later. My wife had the Chicken Alfredo, with garlic cheese bread. They were out of the cheescake., which was a little disappointing. The food was delivered quickly, but we noticed the side salads were missing. We called, and they promptly delivered them. The bread for the Brushetta was amazing, the Brushetta was good, I'm glad I ordered the mozzarella extra, it needed that component. The veal was excellent, the pasta very good, and I ate the sandwich the next day, the only thing I didn't like was they put the sauce on top.of the sandwich. But the taste was great. We were very disappointed in Procopios, we drove an hour from Terre Haute to get there. We ordered 2 pizzas for carry out & they tasted terrible. The sauce was very sweet & the thin crust was like a tasteless soggy cracker. We only ordered 1 pizza with the thin crust but received both pizzas with thin crust. When I went to pay the bill I gave the cashier our Dine for Two card from W-TWO which is basically a buy 1 get 1 free card. She asked the owner how to ring it up & after explaining it to her, he says oh it excludes pizza it's only for our dinners so you can't use the discount card. The card doesn't state any exclusions like that & he didn't even offer to take off an average dinner price. Our pizzas weren't any more than an average dinner. Then I looked at our receipt when we got home & they charged us an extra 3% checkout fee??? You've got to be kidding me, a fee to tell me how much my bill is!!! And then since we paid with a credit card we were charged another 3% credit card surcharge!!! There were no signs or verbal warnings of these extra fees. This place totally sucks!!! read more
