Really Disappointed and Frustrated I called Alfreds three weeks ago to help me make hats for my sports team. Three weeks of stringing me along. "Uh, I have to check with the manufacturer, I'll get back to you". Never got back to me. I had to follow up 3 days later. "Uh, even though I told you you could get a dozen hats, you can't. Manufacture said min of 50". I don't need 50 hats. What about embroidery? "Uh, I have to check with the embroiderer, I'll get back to you". Never got back to me. I had to follow up 3 days later. "They can do it, but it won't be right. You're gonna loose a lot of detail.". Ok, I really need these hats. How much detail are we going to loose? "Uh, I guess I can ask," never heard back. I had to follow up again 3 days later. Dude, what is your deal? Can you make these hats or not? "Uh, we really don't do that kind of thing." Thanks for nothing! read more

They surprisingly have a decent selection of clothing and school sports gear. They do embroidery, but you will have to wait at least a month or so for it to be completed. They do embroidery/engraving for a number of local school teams and such. The owner/manager is friendly. read more

Great customer service I thought I was going to be given a hard time about some mouth guards which I did not like for my kids but they handled my problem and gave me what I was looking for. I will continue to make the trip there for skate sharpening and use Alfred's as often as I can for my sporting goods needs and services. read more

Very disappointed with this well-established, non-chain sports store. My mom bought her grandson a gift card 3 1/2 years ago. Now, that may seem like a long time, but, in these days of proliferating gift cards, it's really not. Also, there was no expiration date displayed anywhere on the card. Anyway, the card has been in my wallet all this time, with the purchase receipt. We went today to make a purchase (our first time at the store) and the manager peels the card from the envelope saying, "This is a really old card" and proceeds to check the balance. He tells me there's no balance left on the card. I told him we've never used it; he just peeled it off the envelope himself. He refuses to honor the card ($25.00). He insists that somebody, not necessarily me, used the card already because the automated balance system says the balance is zero. He ended up giving us 10% off of a $60.00 baseball bat. Better than nothing but not a satisfying experience. I do not recommend this store. read more
