Sometimes an independent practice is a bad sign. Dr nolan did a poor job on my shoulder replacement which was not properly secure and tore out and required a revision that stunned other surgeons and resulted in a lifelong handicap. She offered zero expertise. She should also hire adequate staff so someone is there to answer the phones and make timely appointments and referrals. Also a licensed tech should do X-rays, not office staff.

The answer for this was Manor Care Southwest. The staff was wonderful and very respective of his wants, needs and fears of not being able to be "normal" again. I felt very comfortable about leaving him in the hands of very capable employees. My first visit was pretty good. I felt like he did his research before I even walked in, which made me feel important, or that he actually cared. He got my background and did troubleshooting. Dr gave me his professional opinion on what he thought was going on with my knee. After dotting the I's and crossing the T's he gave me options on what he think would be best before just cutting me open. After a couple attempts of injections, I realized it wasn't working but Dr had a solution. Staff even make a difference. From the front desk Receptionist to the Nurses of the Drs. The solution that was chosen worked fairly well. If I learned anything from this experience, its that some Drs actually care about your well being, rather than feeling like they know and start cutting on you with no hesitation.
