The ENTIRE 27 acres is closed to the public (for the entire day) if an event is scheduled. No calendar is online to check availability of the park to the public. The park is also closed on Sundays. Years ago, you could walk in any day, find a bench and take some pictures or paint a watercolor. Now you need a permit to draw a picture! Not kidding. Check the website. I was a member for years. No more.

I was there for my niece's wedding, and the space truly was lovely. So why only two stars? Unfortunately, the management's attitude completely took away from the experience. More than once, guests could clearly hear staff saying, "If all guests are not off the property by the designated time, we'll be calling the police." I don't usually jump to conclusions or assume race plays a role, but when that kind of statement is repeated multiple times -- at a joyful family celebration -- it's hard not to wonder. At minimum, it was rude, unnecessary, and disrespectful to the couple and their guests. By 11 p.m., it was obvious the planner, her team, and family members were working quickly to clear the space. Threatening to call the police on people who were clearly packing up was completely out of line. To make matters worse, we were also expected to empty trash cans in the bathrooms and kitchen -- not exactly what anyone anticipates after a long day celebrating a wedding. The venue gets full points for scenery, but management needs serious work on professionalism and basic customer respect.

Overall, it was a nice venue but the setup at dinner was a little crowded. They literally had to break down tables to make room for the dance floor. I realize that's not a knock on the space itself but a note to others planning large events here. The setting was in a relaxed suburban neighborhood, and it definitely helped to have GPS to find this place.

We had many requests and requirements for the reception, and she went out of her way to accommodate our needs and wants. She recommended excellent vendors who also went above and beyond for dietary restrictions. The location of Hollin Hall is also nice, and close to 495, but you wouldn't know it. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful grounds, it feels secluded and has beautiful gardens to wander. We were married in March and even though there were no leaves or flowers blooming it was a pretty backdrop for all our photos. I would definitely recommend Hollin Hall to anyone looking for a DC area wedding venue!

From…read morestart to finish, Iman and his team did absolutely everything they could do to make the wedding planning process seamless and our wedding day exactly how we imagined. We were planning our wedding during the pandemic and things were constantly uncertain as to whether or not the wedding would be able go to on. Iman and DJ Kia had routine calls with us to check-in and offer advice. We knew we could trust their opinions and flexility during the uncertain times. On the day of the wedding, DJ Kia was so involved with every aspect of the ceremony and reception. He knew exactly what to do, when to do it, and how to make our wedding day an unforgettable experience. He literally orchestrated our ceremony processional and was making sure everything was running smoothly. Everyone felt at ease walking down the aisle because DJ Kia was there to send them off. We were lucky enough to have Iman MC our wedding, and believe us when we tell you he knows how to put on a show. The dance floor comes alive with Iman on stage and everyone was out of their seats and dancing the entire night. Our cocktail hour ended up going over schedule, which pushed back our reception. It was no worry though, because Iman was there to quickly restructure the timeline and ensure everything ran smoothly. Even with unexpected issues, we felt completely at ease knowing he had us covered. He is such a genuine person who truly cares about his client's happiness. We also used Night Owls for our video production and working with them was a truly pleasant experience. They captured every aspect of the wedding beautifully. In just a few short weeks, we had our trailer and wedding video created, both of which were edited to our liking. They were extremely patient with us throughout the process and the end result is videos we still can't stop watching! Thank you to Brandon and the team at Night Owls for all of their hard work. We also want to give a special thanks to Wake on the sax, Farzan on the drums, and Cyrus on the cello. These three gentleman made the music come alive and our guests could not stop raving about how talented they were. My wife and I still talk about just how great it was working with Exclusively Entertainment and we would absolutely recommend them for your events!

One thing we quickly realized was that the Osprey's had excellent customer service. Every question we had was answered quickly. Vanessa was very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Even with the follow up questions we had after our tour, Vanessa responded to our emails quickly. Once we were about 45 days away from the wedding, we were paired with Tori, who was our Event Director. When we met with Tori, she was very friendly and helpful. One thing that we found helpful was the timeline template they provided us with. It helped us plan out our reception details with ease. One thing to note was that the Osprey's provides a list of preferred vendors to work with, such as DJ's, caterers etc. Their preferred list was a God send! We ended up hiring 2 of their preferred vendors and so happy we did! The day of our wedding was PERFECT. Everything we planned and wanted actually happened. I received so many compliments about the venue and my wedding and I was so happy our guests truly enjoyed it. Tori did a fantastic job as our event director and made sure we followed the timeline and kept things moving with ease. While the day flew by, we simply had an amazing wedding. I wanted to send a huge thank you to both Vanessa and Tori for making our special day go so well. :)

From the start, it was rough. First off, the pro shop is pretty sad. Just an empty room with some shirts and balls - nothing else. The staff was not very friendly and had no suggestions/directions for it being my first time. In fact, I only saw one guy who worked there the entire day. No bartender, no maintenance crew, no starter. A $70 tee time is criminal for these conditions. Extremely overgrown tee boxes, terrible fairways, and very beat up slow greens. I highly recommend finding ANY OTHER course in the area before considering playing here. Hole 5 had 2 different lakes (giant puddles that cannot be drained) in the middle of the fairway - making the hole unplayable. The design of the course is also very funky. A lot of blind doglegs off the tee and elevated greens that are hard to hit. I guess one of the only positives of the course was the Pace of Play. Seemingly because no one wants to play here, we played quickly and uninterrupted. NO cart girl, and the service at the bar was terrible. I waited 15 minutes at the bar for no one to help me, ended up buying drinks at the pro shop. I highly recommend looking at other places nearby, especially considering the outrageous price they are asking. I would have a hard time paying

It went from a country club to a golf club and now you might as well call it a hookah club. It caters to one crowd and is not interested in bettering the community. It has severely gone down hill. Seriously sad the way the new owners tarnished the legacy and history behind the original Tantallon Country Club. We were greeted by 3 staff members (apologies I don't remember their names). I initially thought this was just a venue to smash stuff but it was explained that this is a mental health venture aimed at spiritual healing. After signing the waivers and donning our PPE, we went in. The wooden structure isn't huge so you cant get running starts or make any long over hear arm movements, but it ended being just the right amount of space to get your smash on. Initially I was caught up in the novelty of smashing things, but a point in time came where that novelty faded and I found myself tapping into an aggression and emotion I did not go there with. It wasn't until I stood there out of breath with my hands sore that I truly understood what this place was for. That session provided a space and avenue for me to truly let go, for just a little bit. If you haven't done that recently (or ever), you need to book a session to understand what im talking about. A challenge was issued to me to put in work on the water heater and I made a decent hole in it but that thing was tough. They sure don't make em like they used to.

The site was well furnished with safety gear (goggles, gloves, etc.), tools (bats, sledgehammers, etc.) and objects to smash (microwave oven, water heater, glass bottles, etc.).
