Alice is worth every cent. Book her immediately. My husband and I were looking for an officiant who would be able to help us with a secular wedding ceremony. We did not want it to be religious, but we had trouble finding an officiant who could also make it not "spiritual." Many of the supposedly secular wedding officiants we called seemed to be deeply spiritual people, embracing Buddhist traditions and intense yoga routines. While this is fine, it's not us. We were afraid the ceremony would not reflect our personalities. Before we found Alice, we had quite a few meetings with other officiants who kept on pushing us to "tap into the energy of the day" and "be seized with the spirit," with one officiant even suggesting everyone attending our wedding raise one of their arms to "send a spiritual charge" to the newlyweds. Since there was absolutely no way we were going to endorse a Sieg Heil chant at our wedding, we kept searching... and found Alice! Alice is quite a bit more expensive than some of the other wedding officiants we called. The price difference was enough to get us to pause at first... but, we booked her and we have absolutely no regrets. My fiancee (now wife) and I got married in Brooklyn last month. Alice Soloway wrote our wedding ceremony and officiated at the ceremony.
