She was professional, fun, and engaging and even got them to do the most mom centered / corny photos that actually were the best shots of the day. Love LOVE LOVE this photographer. My hubby and I were hesitant to get a family photographer, but boy was she worth it. She's a wizard with kids and made the time we had with her so creative and fun for both my small children and us. We were worried about having to pose in so many different ways and that becoming exhausting and feeling unnatural, but she had us interact with one another and do things that felt natural to us as a family. And we got some really great shots! We needed our prints back quickly to hand out as gifts and she pivoted and got them to us extremely fast. My one complaint is I wish I had bought more photos but she told me that I can look through a digital archive and choose more, which is so so convenient. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience and I have recommended her to friends and family who have also had an amazing experience. I had the honor to get to work with Alicia Telfer! I was looking for a photographer to do some brand photos, and I knew I had to reach out to Alicia for this! Not only did the photographs come out stunning, but she had so many helpful ideas to utilize our time wisely, as well as create creative shots I never would have thought of! Alicia is a really nice person and a great photographer but she is expensive and her business model was a bit deceiving for me. The cost for family photos is $495 but she won't give you access to high resolution digitals. The digitals she provides allows you to print photos that are up to 8 x 10 in size. However, when I tried using the family photos on minted it said the resolution was poor quality. She did give me better resolution when I told her about this problem on minted. I did end up printing 3 photos with her for our family wall: 2-12 x 18 and a 11 x 14. The cost came to $191 for these 3 photos. She did give me the high resolution photos for these 3 photos that I printed with her. So, in total, I paid $686 and I don't have access to all my digitals. Just letting others know too so they know what to expect because I didn't realize how expensive her prints were. read more

Read the photographer's contract! I can not stress this enough! We didn't read it because we've hired at least 4-5 other photographers in the past and never ran into any problems like we did with Alicia. $400 for a mini session, which yielded around 20 photos. Waited over 6 weeks even though we were verbally and in an email told 10-14 days. Very disappointed with the quality of the pics. Extremely low resolution. Some under 1MB, which is a joke for todays standards. The edits were lackluster, to say the least. I'd imagine any touch-ups cost extra, just like when we asked for higher resolution photos. We were told by Alicia that we have to pay extra or buy prints from her photo gallery to receive full resolution photos. She said the low resolution photos we received are perfect for social media and 5 x 7 prints. $400 down the drain. read more

Alicia is amazing with children- her patience and talent show through her pictures. She took pictures of my 2 sons (1 and 4), nephew (5), niece (3), nephew (3) and niece (4 months). Not only did she get excellent individual shots of each child, she also got great group pictures. It was amazing to watch her work! Alicia is truly talented and so easy to work with! I have been seeing Alicia's beautiful photography for a couple of years in friends' homes and on social media. This was our first year having her do family portraits (we have 3 children aged 4, 7 & 8). The booking process was simple and Alicia was extremely accommodating and professional. The session itself was really enjoyable and comfortable - like we were spending time with a friend. She is fantastic and natural with children and got them to feel at ease right away. We got our edited photos back quickly and they are INCREDIBLE! She somehow managed to capture each childs' personality and many sweet moments between them. The family portraits are beautiful, and will absolutely be treasured forever. I plan on ordering a couple of her vintage, restored photo frames with her work to hang in our home. I found Alicia from a classmate referral. Because I was told by my career coach that I needed a professional headshot (not the selfie!) for my LinkedIn profile. It was easy to schedule for the photo shoot with her. During the session I changed 2 outfits, with / without glasses, and a few different backdrops all in 30 min in a beautiful outdoor mall in south bay. Alicia was very knowledgeable about lights, very professional, and super friendly and approachable. She had my trust and I was happy to follow all her suggestions on gestures, different shooting spots, etc.. The entire process for the headshot was very pleasant, fun, and efficient (30min). Let me just say, Alicia is amazing. She has done it all with us and we have been using her for years. Not only do my kids enjoy her shoots (they don't end in crying) but the photos come out great. She's been our photographer for over 6 years now and we hire her for all of our birthdays, maternity shoots and our engagement shoot as well. She doesn't put us in weird poses and the shoots feel really natural which helps with having small kids. Alicia is creative and quick to think of solutions if a problem arises (rain, small child meltdown and so on). She is reasonably priced and always gets proofs to us quickly and they look amazing. Alicia is an incredibly gifted photographer. She works with light in magical ways, and was so fun to work with.
