The supercenter was very large and had most items for everyday living, at prices that I'm assuming locals find acceptable. It is two stories, with a multi-level parking garage below. The first floor is mainly the grocery store portion, with the upper floor being the typical 'Walmart' discount department retailer items, connected by a cool moving ramp (travelators) that allows carts to be brought along as well. Later learned that the wheels are locked not by magnets, but by a mechanical system where tiny grooves in the wheels interlock with the moving meta track, to make the cart immobile while on the track. I tried it out and it definitely worked as advertised. The location required a car to get there from the cruise ports, thus were not really used by many tourists/visitors when we got there. They did have a small tourist/souvenir section upstairs, but there was nothing that our group wanted, and prices seemed similar to the many shops in the tourist section of Old San Juan. We did buy a small bottle of locally produced vanilla, and did find that the games section had Pokemon cards for sales, that we took advantage of. Payment was through a self-checkout area, and my Walmart+ membership was recognized via my entered phone number, delivering the receipt via email. There are 13 Walmart supercenters in Puerto Rico, with this 150,000 square feet one opening in 2013. Our private tour guide did mention that we were the first group of hers that specifically asked to stop by a Walmart. I joked that maybe on our next visit, she could take us to a Costco nearby on the island.

Came during the week on a Tues and it was not too crowded, which was a welcome treat as I do not like shopping malls at all (nor shopping in general). I really enjoyed this mall, though, as it has a bit of everything including some non USA stores. Mall doesn't look like much from the outside and you cannot tell (at least from our entrance) that it looks like a mall until you get outside. Very clean, upscale, and has something for everyone.

I did not check out the kiddo department, but it had a lot of action. I hoarded 7 purses & had such trouble whittling it Down to 3. It was the same with everything & all departments. An exceptional place to shop, I have only seen that many designer labels, except in very expensive stores. What's a girl to do? Be glad I followed the crowd, for once.

I think the East is among the better Asian restaurants in the area, and Aliss has nice Christmas decorations. The House at this location is smaller and more low key than the other two.

That means places like Planet Fitness, Capri, Aliss, The House, East Asian Bistro, Buns Burger Shop, and the Caribbean Cinemas. The reason I come here is for the cinema, Buns, East, and The House. Also, nearby is Natas, a small coffee shop that sells Portuguese natas (very delicious). In other words, it's the food and entertainment that makes this area worth it, not the shopping (a least for me).

It's just not as busy as it is here, and i don't think any of those i have visited can compare to this location- not Lexington, Florence, Toledo, Indianapolis, not even Los Angeles. I got petrol at this Costco when it first opened without any issues. Pretty quick process, and these folks don't mind pumping on the other side of the station, and back home, people refuse to pump on the opposite side. Yet the hoses can extend to the opposite side, making the process quicker; so, at least here in PR, they understand it. They did have several pastries that i wasn't familiar with back on the mainland, as well as several juices; so i decided to purchase them.

My senior year, my friends and I would come here during lunch period to eat at the food court and play in the arcade room, which was huge. Some things have changed. That arcade room is now a Claro store. The arcade room is now by the cinema where the bookstore and coffee shop used to be. The new bookstore is on the other side of the pedestrian walkway, near the parking structure. And the cinema got an upgrade to a VIP Cinema. This was always the main reason. To come here and now it is better with recliner seats, gourmet food, and a bar/lounge area. The food court has generally stayed the same, with some minor changed in eateries. It's never been that great, but it beat eating at school. Most of the stores are on the ground floor. The main attraction at this mall was the Kmart, but they closed about 3 years ago. It seems they will remodel the space and create what will be called The Square. No idea when they plan to have it ready by. The lower level always had the sucky stores (at least I thought they sucked), except for Teatrocentro. But now they moved to the ground level, and Metro Comics moved down to the lower level. Shopping was never the reason I came here. Every now and then I come here to check things out but I prefer Plaza for shopping. San Patricio Plaza, together with Galeria San Patricio (across the street) and some surrounding stores/restaurants form San Patricio Village.

There are also stroes such as Party City, Office Depot, and Pet Smart. As for the mall itself, it is not very big. Plaza las Americas and The Mall of San Juan are far bigger. Here you can find TJ MAxx, Bed Bath and Beyond, Walgreens, Capri, and a few other smaller stores. The Big Kmart shut down a few years ago.You can also find specialty stores like Metro Comics, Teatrocentro (dancewear, theatrical makeup, and costumes), and Don Rey Cigar Shop. The food court is small and unimpressive. The best thing the mall has going for it is the newly renovated cinema. It has been turned into a VIP Cinema with a full bar, lobby lounge, recliner seats with foot rests, and and good food. It's great and not that expensive. Overall, San Patricio Plaza is decent. It's not my 1st or 2nd choice for shopping. However, it is my 1st choice for movie going. Also, San Patricio Village is a nice concept that provides good food options.
