ATTENTION PARENTS: steals and deals for you at the Ollie-Oop store under the Perkins overpass! This…read moreis a definite treasure in this neighborhood and a hidden gem, if you ask me. As a parent of a small child (surely many others can relate and agree, too), I am constantly shopping for clothes, shoes, etc. Children grow like weeds, so their wardrobe is ever-revolving. Do you concur? I don't know about you, but I love finding high quality kids clothes at affordable prices. Ollie-Oop is the perfect spot just for that! The store is well organized by kids sizes, dress-up, books, accessories, shoes, toys, etc. It's a tiny spot, but has an abundance of offerings for parents looking for quality items at excellent prices. Need monogramming and/or appliqué done? They offer those services here! Some items like nap mats are not stocked in-store, but can definitely be special-ordered. Come by today to check out this store for your kiddos needs. Seasonal items and/or gifts are also available.

However, I have visited 3 times in the last couple of weeks and no one has ever greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. When I checked out today, the clerk was friendly and efficient, but that is the only interaction there was. As a new customer walking in, one would certainly be overwhelmed by the size, offerings, and layout. Perhaps some direction and information would be helpful to your guests.

This place is clean but a little cramped. They're so bright and inviting when you walk in. I was a…read morelittle concerned by reading other reviews but I figured my experience had to be my own. Since the twins have outgrown most of their clothes I decided I would sell them. Their clothes have been on boxes in our diningroom for quite some time and it was driving my husband crazy lol. Since it's a chore to do most things with the twins I waited until my husband was home to head over. We had 3 boxes of clothes, sizes 6m-24m and shoes. The process is simple, stop in fill out a short form name & address with phone number. They take the info and what you've brought in and give you a time frame of when they will be finished going through your items so you can return. It's a same day process too. They told me 45mins to an hour so I ran to the grocery store which took about that long and returned about an hour later. They were just finishing up. They seemed to only want what is in season which is understandable considering space. If they offer you money and the amount is over$75 they give you a check. I think they're very reasonable and fair. The items they didn't want I took to goodwill. All in all, great experience, nice people and reasonably fair ! I would recommend this store to anyone wanting to make money off of their gently used children's clothes, shoes, books and toys. Once upon a child, I'll be back to sell and purchase !

Products and prices. Great selection. Store hours were great! Just a great experienceread more

As a new mama to be, everything feels overwhelming at times. This baby/maternity consignment store…read moremakes life a little easier! It's been such a struggle to find reasonably priced maternity clothes, so this was a great option for me. Their new location is HUGE and has so much to offer. I ended up getting 3 maternity dresses, 2 tops, and a super cute sesame street onesie (on sale for $1) ALL for just under $40. Be sure to get on yelp and use the 25% off with check in offer. That brought the price down to under $40! They have a super cute play area for the kiddos while mamas try on clothes or shop. The restroom also has a nice changing table and diapers! It's a sweet gesture. I did notice that they have soooooo much girl stuff; I'm having a sweet baby boy, and my options were limited. The store basically looks pink from afar. I only wish it were closer to where I live, but I'll definitely be back!

The selection has become lackluster in that many items have stains, rips, or look very worn. But…read morethe real issue was a conversation I had with the owner today. I have been consigning with them for six years now and yesterday I brought a giant box of items in.Some of the items folder neatly, or laid flat, and had a few wrinkles in them. I mentioned that they were previously brought to Once upon a child and probably were not put back nicely. So today I go back to bring a few more games I found in our closet and scan the sale rack - they were having a huge sale a bag for $10 sale - and the owner took it upon herself to tell me that she didn't appreciate when people brought items to them after going to another consignment store first. She said it "hurt their feelings" when people brought them the other stores "rejects ". I commented that yesterday the sales associate took every single one of my items to sell except for clothing that was summer season. Clearly they were not rejects. I told her that each store has a different inventory and takes different items based on the clientele they keep. Also, Once upon A Child. Clearly they were not rejects. I told her that each store has a different inventory and takes different items based on the clientele they keep. Also, Once upon A Child takes all seasons all the time AND As you cash on the spot. Where as Abigails consignment you have to wait till your item sells. And then, you have to call three and four times sometimes to get your check mailed to you. I was just taken aback at how once she was about not wanting us to bring items in if we brought them somewhere else first. That's business. I'm trying to sell my items. If they have a problem with the condition people bring them in they should have asked me to take them home and fold them before bringing them in. I've been shopping here since before my oldest was born. Now pregnant with my third , it's a must stop anytime I am looking for a specific item or just to browse. Today I went in looking for a yellow shirt for my 6 year old and a few maternity tops for myself. I left with the yellow shirt, two pairs of toddler shorts, a pair of leather sun sandals (!), three maternity dresses and four maternity shirts! All for $75! I had $45 in credit from consigning with them, so all in all it was a steal! The brands were all old navy or motherhood maternity- So I didn't have to try them on knowing how those brands run. This newest location off of Antioch Road is huge. It has such a large selection of maternity , kids, baby, and toys. The items are neatly hung and easy to browse through. The shoes are accessible for trying on as well. There is a large fitting room also, but I have never used it since it has a curtain inside of the door, and my toddler just runs away. But for shopping there is a toddler play area That keeps my 21-month-old quite entertained. The owner is always kind and pleasant whether I am in the store or calling with a question. As for consigning they are upfront about which items they are currently taking - So you never waste a trip to be turned away with your items. The only reason it has four stars for me instead of five is because some of the prices are not as low as I would like them to be considering the items are second hand. But, if you know the retail cost then you can make good decisions about your purchases. I would definitely recommend stopping in soon - and don't be in a hurry :-)
