Mike is awesome! I don't want this to get out, because I don't want to have long wait times, but his service is so great, I have to share. He is kind, knowledgeable, helpful and very responsive. I had a devil of a time trying to find a shop to fix my equipment and I'm so glad I found Mike. My weed eater had been having problems and suddenly wouldn't start. I called the shops that cover the warranty work, and they had wait times of 2+ and 5 weeks. I left Mike a voicemail and shortly after he texted me. Once I finally took it to him, he had it figured out and fixed in a few days. He tried to clean the carb, but it had to be replaced. Mike was great to deal with. I have a 21 y/o Honda mower that has run great with basically only a handful of oil changes. The last year or so I've noticed it losing a little of its pep so I decided it was needing a tuneup. I did the usual plug and filter but that didn't help. First I called my local shop to ask about a tuneup and was told I could drop it off but they were working 5 weeks (yes, "weeks") out. Then I found All About Small Engine Repair on yelp and decided to give him a call. I left a message and within a very reasonable amount of time I received a text response on my phone from Mike. He quoted me the price for a tuneup and that he was working about 3 "days" out. I felt the price was very reasonable but the time frame was perfect for what I needed. I took my mower to him about an hour after we text, which was a Saturday btw, and he helped me unload it out of the back of my truck. We talked about it for a few minutes and I left. He text me the very next day to let me know about the issues and that I needed a new part. The new part added a new price but it felt very reasonable still. On Wednesday I received a text from Mike letting me know that the mower was done and I could pick it up whenever. I got it later Wednesday evening and not only did it run like it was brand new, he also adjusted a few things and fixed a few minor things that we did not even discuss. I thought that was above and beyond, especially because he stuck to his price and time frame. I will use Mike again when needed. read more

After using a lawn service for several years and having my Sears Craftsman mower sit unused in my garage during that time, I decided to sell it. I tried to start it and it wouldn't go. Based on Yelp reviews, I took it to Mike at "All About Small Engine Repairs". He tried to start it and looked it over, and said it needed a carburetor rebuild and tune-up. He gave me a reasonable price to do the work and a day that week when it would be ready. Mike was friendly and straightforward, and took time to explain to me what he saw as the condition of the mower when I explained that I intended to sell it. He did the work exactly as quoted and it was ready on the day he promised, and when I got home the mower started with one pull. It had never started that easily even when it was brand new. Quick response, fair price, stuck to estimate, got my mower back in like a day. These were my experiences both times I brought my mower in, last year and this. It's my fault I'm sure that I didn't maintain my mower well enough and leaving it sitting too long, it eventually stopped working. So, I think he just had to clean or rebuild the carburetor.
