I would rate them a zero if I could, the customer service is just awful, they do NOT return phone calls and noone picks up the phone. I waited 2 months for my records that should have taken 30 days but they had no problem cashing the check and if I hadn't kept bugging them for the records I would still be waiting for that phone call. Get a new office Manager because this current one does nothing to keep her staff doing what they are supposed to be doing!! So happy to be done with them. read more

I have been going to All About Women for 22 years and through five pregnancies, and it used to be great. I still love Dr. Chavez, and she's amazing... but the office staff have gone from being helpful and nice to just being so horrible to deal with that it's not worth it. They don't care, they don't listen, and they are rude, as if they don't even want you to be there. It's almost impossible to get an appointment, as they have very limited hours in which you have to call, and then wait on hold like it's 1990, and then they're rude. And it's been like this for years, but this most recent call is sending me to look for another doctor. It's not worth it. Dr Chavez and the other doctors are all great... if you read this, please get yourself some new office staff. read more

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Welch, her knowledge in HRT is none existent. She was not able to have a discussion regarding HRT other than the standard of care. She will realize what women are talking about when she goes through peri/menopause herself. read more

Signing into the kiosk took me over the NEW 10-minutes late policy (NOTE: no prior communication on policy changes). Front desk was unapologetically relentless in ensuring my appointment was cancelled, even when my name was being called to head back. My appointment was rescheduled a month out. Let me start by saying that if I could give this practice a -10 I would. My daughter is 10 weeks pregnant and had an 11:00am appointment to see an ob nurse today. We arrived at 11:05am. My daughter did an electronic sign in that took about 3 minutes to complete. When she went to the window she was informed that it was past the 10 minute "window" and she would have to reschedule. There was another patient there sobbing because they told her the same thing and she had driven 2 hours for her appointment. Another patient was sitting close by and told me they did the same thing to her yesterday. What kind of practice treats new patients like this? I find it very hard to believe that patients are brought right back to the examining room when they arrive for their appointments. It's ok for doctors/nurses to have their patients wait for 1/2 hour, 45 minutes or so, but the patients are given little to no wiggle room. I challenged the front desk - there were at least 6 women there. One of the women said (and didn't mean to be heard) "We have another one crying?" I find this kind of treatment to be very unacceptable...not to mention unprofessional. Needless to say, my daughter will not be going back to this practice and I, for one, wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

This practice is making it very hard for women to get proper female care. I called today for a mammogram Rx (recently turned 40), and they said I no longer a patient in their practice because it's been over 3 years since I've been seen... my last appt was 36 months and 16 days. so bec I am 16 days too late, I will no longer have an OB that will treat me ?! Side note: All About Women delivered my 2 babies, so In no way am I even a relatively new patient!! I've probably gone to over 30 appointments over the years. This makes no Sense to me! read more

Do not trust All about Women with your health, they do not care about the well being of their clients. If I could give negative stars I would. I scheduled a medical problem appointment. The following day, I received a call from the billing dept, wanting to verify my insurance. I did not have it available at the moment. I went to the appointment with my insurance card, to find out that someone from billing who has no knowledge of my medical standing, cancelled my appointment. The initial reason given was that I had a "bad attitude", after discussing it with the Director, they changed their reasoning to, I did not have insurance. They never answer the phones, appointments are impossible, nurses and Ashley august are rude.

The office staff and especially Nurse Chrissy do not offer enough advice or help when calling in. It takes too long to talk to someone over the phone. Patient care is a problem. I wasn't told about kick counts. When I called in nervous about my baby's movement I was asked, are you you tracking your kick counts? They should have given that info to your at your last appointment. I was never told about it. The hand off of info between Dr.s was not smooth and key info was missed back fee times. I had gestational diabetes and two weeks went by with no phone call from the Maternal Fetal Medicine at Christiana (who was supposed to call me to schedule an appt). I called Chrissy to ask who was supposed to be calling and she said she would call them to make sure they reached out. Another few days went by with no phone call. I couldn't get through on the phone to Chrissy so I went to the Director in person. Then Chrissy scheduled an appointment while I was in Kim's office complaining that I couldn't get through to anyone on the phone but didn't ask me if it was a good day or time. I could not make that appt so I decided to NOT go to MFM because no one would fess up or take the blame for not calling me and originally setting up the appointment. No "I'm sorry" or we feel bad, just blaming the other office (both ways). Not a great way to provide patient care. So at this time a month after finding out I have gestational diabetes, no appointment and no treatment yet. I schedule with Dr. Hundal an Endocrinologist and had to research on my own a place to get ultrasounds. THEN Chrissy the nurse didn't send my files to St. Francis for three days (ultrasounds since I'm not going to MFM). Another Chrissy/office fail. Dr Hundal (endocrinologist) and nurses at St. Francis confirmed my diet was good, blood sugar levels were good, and I've been managing the GD very well. So last straw from all about women, Chrissy calls me on a Friday, and starts yelling at me about my diet saying "you can't be eating like this, you can't you and you have to get your blood sugar numbers in line. You can't be yo-yoing like this. This is crazy, you can't be eating what you are eating" I'm at work, confused as to why she is yelling at me when all of my Drs have been telling me they are proud of me for changing my diet and getting my numbers to good managed numbers. I asked her if she was looking at my entire food log or just one day. I told her I have been eating extremely healthy and can she look at the other days where I ate fish, kale, almonds, cheese, etc. She was completely unprofessional and rude. I was in tears after the phone call with her because she came out of the blue yelling at me and telling me I wasn't doing the right things when in reality she was wrong and out of place. It was completely out of line and frankly something that was not even her place to comment on. I had been sending the blood sugar numbers and food log (which I took apon myself to keep track of) to Dr. Mahon and Dr. Hundal for review, not a nurse. She was supposed to be passing them on to Dr. Mahon, but she waited over a month to do anything. I had asked her several times for a diet or guidance or guidelines for how much protein or carbs to eat per meal and was told routinely she couldn't provide that. She actually told me her diet was 20 years old and that I should just look online until I could see the Endocrinologist. So basically, lack of patient care once again. I like Dr. Mahon, but everything else about All about women was an aweful experience. From waiting 45 min to an hour at EVERY APPOINTMENT in Newark, to an incompetent nurse, to missed scheduling of appointments, to missed information from "rotating through the different Drs" to not being provided with pertinent information about my pregnancy - I SWITCHED from All about women to St. Francis because in the short time I had been going there, I received better patient care, actual sympathy for what I have been going through, better patient care and an overall positive experience there. Christiana and All About Women really need to really look at the whole patient experience and really consider hiring someone like an Industrial Engineer to evaluate wait times and maybe a hospital employee to figure out overall patient care. I'm still waiting on a phone call from someone like the Director or someone above the Director who can make some real changes or provide some sort of follow up for the aweful 8 months of care I received. My husband has called in multiple times and left messages for the office manager, but has not been given a call back. I don't want anyone else to experience what I did so I've decided to share all of this online to help you really choose where you are seen during your pregnancy. Rescheduled twice for first and second visits and nobody bothered to call and leave a message. This is not okay considering that work and family arraignments are made on the patient side to accommodate the scheduled time. First visit 8am blood work at Glasgow location, I get there at 7:45am the receptionist makes me wait and 8am past and I see one receptionists braiding the receptionist hair: Not until I get up and complain around 8:20 is when she decides to make a call. Come to find out the lady from Quest didn't show and doesn't bother to tell anymore at that location that she will be in late. The receptionist then tells me I could wait for her or go to the Christiana location. So I drive to the Christiana location because I was already upset about the entire ordeal and they took my blood work on 3mins. Second appointment visit scheduled for Monday 2pm, I thought it was at 2:30pm at pike creek. so I get there at 2:27pm and they had to reschedule me (my fault). So they rescheduled me for Friday 8:30am and kept my original appointment for 1:30pm same day. I get to the Christiana location for the 8:30am appointment and they said they don't have an appointment scheduled for me. The pike creek location never scheduled me like they said they did, even though they gave me an appointment card, oh and my other appointment scheduled for the same day at 1:30 was cancelled but nobody bothered to tell me or email or leave a message. Not a good start, and I don't care for the mistakes anymore, they've been in this business for a long time to have these types of mistakes happen. I'm upset and I don't care for their business right now. read more

I have been going to All About Women for years, and did not see it as much of a problem until I became pregnant. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage, so my second pregnancy was clearly filled with worry and doubt. I was unable to get in touch with anyone about scheduling ultra sounds. It took on average three phone calls and three voice mails to get a nurse to send over a script for an early ultrasound. My 6 week ultrasound was abnormal, and I still was unable to get in touch with anyone at the practice. The nurse simply called me back (after a few days) and said to get another one in 10 days. At around 8 weeks, I started bleeding and went to triage (excellent care) to find out that the baby was not growing, and I was going to have a miscarriage. When I called All About Women the next day, I STILL could not get a response. Eventually the nurse called, and said she would call back later that day. After around 6 hours, the nurse called back to tell me to get blood work done, and then go back a week later to get more blood work. I was given NO options to meet with the doctor or discuss other options than miscarrying on my own. I felt lost, confused, and alone. Fortunately, I was able to get in with another doctor at another practice who saw me right away. After about 5 days of heavy bleeding, I did not pass the sac and opted to have a D and E. I am now ready to move on and heal physically and emotionally. I would NOT recommend All About Women to any family looking for a personal experience. read more

Generally seen quickly and helped with any of my needs. I believe there are 6 doctors total there. I have seen most of them and had nothing but pleasant encounters up until this week. My primary OB was unavailable and Dr. Earl was available to see me. She was rude, insensitive and made me feel completely uncomfortable with her judgmental demeanor. All About Women- Christiana Hospital, Newark Office I can never get a hold of anyone when I call to schedule. I work full time and they do not try to work with you to schedule you around your work schedule. Many of the receptionists are not very polite. When you walk up to the desk, you feel like you're bothering them and are not greeted with a smile. They do not let you schedule in advance which is really frustrating because then you're left with crappy times for appointments that do not work with your work schedule. The doctors I've had no issues with, but the clerical staff is bad. They have a machine set up that you use the touch screen to check in so that's another thing that the clerical staff doesn't have to do. I don't understand why they do not answer their phones because every time I walk in, they are just sitting back there talking and don't appear to be really working. I regret going here, especially since I could go into labor any day now and I won't be able to get a hold of anyone in the office when I do. Pretty scary. read more

Had an appointment at 9:45, because parking is ridiculous there I didn't get into the office until 9:56, the kiosk wouldn't let me check in so I went to the glass finally at 10:02 to see if she could check me in and she let me know I was outside the 15 minute window so they couldn't see me. not the first terrible experience I've at with this practice, specifically at the MAP building, when I was pregnant I would go to the office in Pike Creek and never had any issues, now they are only seeing patients at the hospital building and I was dreading this appointment knowing I would have a terrible experience in some way. previous appointment I had their servers went down and therefore she couldn't even check my medical history and it was a knew doc so she knew nothing about me and the fact that breast cancer runs in my family and the fact that I had a lump and she said it was nothing to worry about. they have gotten too big you are just a number to this practice if I could find another practice taking patients I would do it in a heart beat. read more

I am beyond frustrated with this poorly run office. I tried to leave a message on the nurse's line for my doctor. It hung up on me just as I was leaving my name. Called back to leave my phone number, same deal. I called this morning for the appointment cancellation line because there's no point in see the doctor if she doesn't have ultrasound results. That line hung up after I said my name and my birthdate. I called back and told them to call me or me and my ovaries are going elsewhere. This is ridiculous. I had an appointment scheduled at the Glasgow location for today that was made during my last office visit a year ago. I arrived for my appointment 15 mins early to allow for time to check-in and to complete any forms they might need. The receptionist informed me that my doctor was still in surgery and the reason I hadn't been notified was that they had just found out. I was advised that there was one other person there that was finishing up with their last patient and maybe they could ask her to take me. I was livid! Now if I hadn't shown up for my appointment they would've penalized me with a fee. Too bad they didn't value my time as well! I said I would reschedule but after reading some of the Yelp and other reviews I'm thinking I need to find a different provider. read more

They really need to hire more front office worker. I called two days again for an appointment and still haven't gotten a return call. I typically see Patty the nurse practitioner who's great however, with the volume of patients I don't want something missed in reference to my care due to a rushed appointment or staffing issues. I am currently seeking another Dr. Take your healthy in your own hands and if you don't feel comfortable with something look for other options. We have one life to live. They have way too many patients so the care is very impersonal. This, of course, is concerning when pregnant for the first time. If you call with questions, good luck getting a call back. Similarly, you'll NEVER get an actual person on the line when you call, so just know that going in. Additionally, when you arrive for an appt, expect to wait 45 min-1 hour. That's just their normal at All About Women. Again, I think it comes down to too many patients. And again, the patient care is very rushed and impersonal. All About Women might be fine for a typical OBGYN check up. However, for a pregnancy, I do not recommend. It is very clerical, impersonal and rushed. The practice is so large that anytime you call.. there are way too many automated options and it can be very frustrating. The receptionists are never friendly and kind. Also, if you need the on-call nurse.. it takes way too long to get a response. The office is typically well kept, I was very impressed with Carol (an ultrasound technician in Christiana location). However, not impressed with any of the 5 doctors that I met with. I decided to switch OBGYN for the remainder of my pregnancy (which is not fun at 28 weeks). read more

Simply put, you really can find better OB care elsewhere. The Christiana area is full of great practices to be treated like a product on a factory line. The waits are very long here, and you spend minimal time with your doctor. When the nurses do call you back on the nurse line, the attitudes are extreme. When it was time for me to have my baby (by c-section) it wasn't even an All About Women doctor to perform the surgery. Look elsewhere. read more

This place has the absolute worst customer service that I've ever experienced in my entire 31 years on this planet. I am a first time Mom and chose this office because I prefer a women doctor. Big mistake. My regular GYN doctor faxed over all of my paperwork and I called the same day to schedule an appointment. I couldn't speak to a human and left a message with my contact information. Fast forward to four entire days later. I've called six times today. Each time being met with a recording that says, "our mail box is full". I once waited on the line long enough for it to ring over to a person. She immediately put me on hold where I sat for 17 minutes. Eventually the line just went dead or I was hung up on. I called back once more and left yet another message that would never be returned. My next call was to my original doctor for a different referral. What kind of doctor's office actively tries to avoid scheduling patients? If your clinic is really that busy, you should hire additional help. I refuse to believe that is the case since a phone call couldn't be returned in FOUR days. I feel bad for current patients that are trying to schedule appointments on a regular basis. I have been going to them for around 2 years now and every time I call, I can never get a real person on the phone. My birth control prescription ran out of refills, and I called to make an appointment but they could not see me for at least a month and a half. Gave me a courtesy refill but then they sent my prescription to a pharamacy in Wilmington when I around an hour away from there. I have only ever used 2 pharmacies while I have been a patient there but they said there were 5-10 pharmacies on my chart, when I have never used them before and were around an hour away from my home. I have to wait such a long time once I am there and the doctor I had never quite made me feel comfortable. The main reason I am leaving stems from the fact that I cannot deal with their phone service. I, personally, think they have too many patients and not enough people to deal with their large numbers via telephone. . read more

Literally every time I've called i am sent to voicemail--whether it's for an appointment, question or emergency--you will talk to a machine and voicemail before ever talking to a person. Then they take forever to call you back. God forbid you miss their call bc then it's the phone tag game since when you call you can't get a person. Staff in general nice. Visited the Glasgow location today and was seen by Patti, the Nurse Practitioner. She spend a tremendous amount of time listening to my concerns and getting to know me. You can tell this health care provider loves her job. The nurse who took my call yesterday was terrific and the office staff were pleasant this morning. Pack a lunch. These docs all need watches. I always request 1st appointment of the day, I still have to wait 30-40 min. When Dr Smith was 30 min late I got dressed, walked out into the hall to leave, she came out of her office saying she was returning calls and checking email. Twice Dr Earl didn't even get to the office until 30 min after my appointment time, she was enroute from home. I received a surprise call frm the nurse providing me with the name and number of an oncologist. I asked why I needed to see an oncologist, she didn't know. Despite several calls to tell the dr I was upset and frightened, it took her 5 days to return my call. I've never had a doctor flip-flop on information as much as Dr Smith. I have absolutely no trust in Dr Smith or Dr Earl, they are fired. read more

This is my 3rd pregnancy but first with All About Women (I relocated from out of state early in this pregnancy). I am half way through my 3rd trimester and have yet to meet my "primary" doctor. Throughout this whole pregnancy, I've felt dismissed and ignored by the entire staff and all the dr's. I see someone different every time I go. When I questioned and ultimately declined a few of the routine screenings/tests, I was badgered about my decision very aggressively. When I questioned the necessity for so many ultrasounds, Dr. Smith asked, "Oh, is it the cost?" Actually, no Dr., it isn't the cost at all, it's my concern about unnecessary poking and prodding. Dr. Smith in particular was very dismissive of my questions and told me my description of a very minor complication that occured during my last birth couldn't possibly be accurate. I've never been seen within 30 minutes of my appointment; I usually don't see a doctor until at least 45 minutes after my appointment time. The whole team just seems to have no respect for women or babies...we are just moneymakers for them, not living, breathing, THINKING human beings. read more

If you are looking for a personal experience and personalized care, this is not the practice. My experience is being a patient with them during my pregnancy. They are a very large practice and you feel like you're on a conveyor belt being told the most generic things without really taking the time to delve into the details of your care. It's the worst at the Medical Pavilion office where all the providers seem to try to spend as little time with you as possible, but it's also bad at the New Linden office. The right hand OFTEN doesn't know what the left hand is doing, and lab techs are asking you the patient why you're getting tests done, a midwife is asking you the patient what the ultrasound tech told you, the women at the front desk are asking you when your next appointment should be. This isn't my first pregnancy, so I have something to compare this to, and it shouldn't be like this. I pretty much wish I went anywhere else. Nothing they do inspires confidence. read more
