It was a big job, and they handled it flawlessly from start to finish. From the first call to schedule the quote all the way through completion, their communication was top-notch. Dani, one of the owners, was amazing--attentive, responsive, and truly invested in making sure everything was done right. Every member of the crew was kind, professional, and clearly took pride in their work. To add some context, the neighbor whose property borders mine had given full, "cut whatever you want" / carte blanche permission earlier in the week--even sending a bulldozer GIF for emphasis--so everyone moved forward in good faith. Unfortunately, that changed mid-project, and both the company and I received a number of repeated and, at times, excessive phone calls raising concerns. What impressed me most is how this team handled that situation. Despite the shift and claims about minor gutter damage, they remained calm, respectful, and professional the entire time. Very disappointing experience after previously being a satisfied customer…read more I have used this tree company in the past and was very pleased with their work--particularly the care they took to clean up my property afterward. Because of that positive experience, I chose to use them again. Unfortunately, this experience was completely different. I contracted the company to remove a specific tree and provided very clear instructions, both in the contract and in a large envelope taped to my front door and specifically addressed to the tree service. One of the instructions was to cut the tree at approximately 4 feet. Instead, the tree was cut all the way down to the roots. The damage and lack of cleanup went far beyond that: * My fence was damaged, including cracked/damaged posts and boards. * My neighbor's wire fence was completely crushed. * There were chunks taken out of my driveway. * Other trees were damaged, with chunks taken out of them. * Bushes were stomped on and broken, with some broken branches simply stuck back into the bushes. * A phone line was torn down from a pole. * Large limbs were left lying in the yard. * Broke my pathway pavers. * I ultimately had to clean up approximately seven 55-gallon garbage bags of sawdust, leaves, and branch debris myself. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. What makes this particularly frustrating is that I went out of my way to provide clear written instructions because I expected the same level of care I had received from this company previously. After contacting the company about the problems, their immediate concern seemed to be making sure they got paid. Ironically, if the crew had simply read the large note taped to the front door, they would have seen that the check was already waiting for them under the doormat. I am now being told that someone will come out to "fix" things. But I have serious questions about what exactly can be fixed. Are they going to repair or repave the damaged portions of my driveway? Replace the cracked fence posts and boards? Repair my neighbor's completely crushed fence? Repair the damaged trees and bushes? Restore the phone line? This is not simply a matter of cleaning up a few branches. There is property damage resulting from the work, along with failure to follow very specific instructions. I am especially disappointed because I had previously recommended and trusted this company based on my first experience. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would have a very difficult time recommending them to anyone else. I hope the company takes responsibility for the damage and makes a genuine effort to resolve the situation--not simply "fix" what is convenient to fix.
