Went in as a walk in and everyone seemed nice. The wait wasn't long I went around 12-2pm, only waited around 7 minutes another person came in as a walk in and didn't wait long either. The hair cut was nice, i showed a picture of the back and it came out exactly how I wanted. The front was a bit weird but that was on me because I didn't go much into detail about the front. In 2017, my barber here in Oildale decided to move and quit his business. Well I was looking for a new barber. I heard about All American Barber shop from a cousin of mine that live right around the corner from me. During that time I also was recovering from the surgery of my wisdom teeth. On that day I felt A lot of pain but I needed to get a haircut and a shave desperately. On that day, I went to the downtown barber shop and there I met Troll. I wasn't really too comfortable at first to call him Troll because I felt it was derogatory towards him. But he assured me that no offense was taken. I have to say he gave me one of the best haircuts I ever had in my life. Since then I have always put him first when it comes to him being one of the best barbers I've ever had. When he moved over to the Hageman Road shop, I followed him over there. Except for a few times when he was not available due to COVID, vacation or other personal reasons, he is always giving me a great haircut and a great beard trim/shave. My son had a haircut by Chris Williams and I thought he did a good job. He seemed to be nice and just a cool dude. I decided to make Chris my son's barber. Today, my husband went on bookings and made the appointment for 3:30pm same day. My dad took my son, 14yrs old and he went in for his appointment. Everything went great until it was time to pay. Usually, my husband takes care of our sons payment for haircut, so naturally he calls my husband to take care of it. Chris says he takes Apple Pay and Venmo. He has CashApp. Unfortunately, my husband has neither so he begins download Venmo and tries to figure out Apple Pay. Apparently, my husband was not fast enough because Chris Williams got short with my 14yr old son and made him uneasy or some type of way. Who does that to a kid? I am absolutely appalled by his behavior. You don't do that. After all his dad was trying to figure it out. My son ended up using his Apple Pay and took care of it, but again his dad usually does. My husband is not the most tech savvy person, but this situation was unfortunate and Chris's behavior was unacceptable. My husband text him later and question him about the incident. There was no apology, just he has to be somewhere. No I have to explain to my son who is a good kid, honors and athlete why someone would think he would pull a fast one. I can't not believe it. I thought he was a nice guy and I switched him to Chris now I am upset at myself. Not cool. Not a good representation of the barber. We came here with my son on the spectrum. He decided he wanted to cut his hair. But he is terrified of his hair being cut. The barber that helped us was Mikey aka "Reverend". He was so wonderful with my son. He even had a rainbow tie dye apron he changed into. He let him play with his toys. My son refused to allow the haircut but Mikey tried and played with him for over an hour. I just wanted to say it felt wonderful to have someone who had such patience and care. I went in for my first time to a guy named Tom And I asked for a mid fade and less then an inch off top I am Spaniard and my hair is so curly and he proceeded to give me a skin fade not even a mid fade and he started picking out my hair like an Afro and he cut way more then an inch off the top don't come to Tom the rest of the ppl looked good read more

There are barbers who listen to you and those who don't give a damn. I encountered the latter. I wear my hair longer and have for all of my adult life. I went in for a trim because my regular barber was having an operation. I clearly said it was a trim and that I wanted my hair about an inch over my ears. I used my finger to illustrate that I wanted it partially covering the tops of my ears. It was Covid time and I was wearing a mask and I did not watch as he was cutting my hair. So this barber who can only cut hair one way, short, just did whatever the hell he wanted. It was way too short. Like most of the guys were getting their haircut in this barbershop. He parted my hair in the middle when finished. I never ever have parted my hair in the middle. In short, this guy was just going through the motions and any comment to the contrary is bogus. Then I found out they didn't take a card, only cash or Venmo. Thankfully, hair grows back out and there are other barber shops so I will never have to have my life darkened by this one again. read more
