Mostly all the staff is good, except for the Manager an Older Blonde Lady she is Terrible I've had my storage there since 2021 yes I've been late several times. But this One Manager has No Customer service skills. Will not work with you even if you are trying to pay. Ruthless No business Ethics. I went to get a storage unit so I spoke to the lady who was the manager of the front. I explained to her that I just bought a storage unit with over 2 million sports cards. I explained the situation and told her that I needed to move those cards to my own storage unit. I spoke to one of the groundskeepers who was a nice middle aged man, and he showed me how to tell if a unit was not in use. He also checked it out for me and told me that the unit directly next to the unit which currently housed all of the cards was not being used. Just to add perspective there were over 400 boxes filled with 5,000 cards each. This was a pretty big job for one guy to do, but it was going to be much easier because I was only going to have to move them a few feet. The front desk manager told me that I could not request a unit due to safety reasons. I tried to ask her to get a special ok from her boss, because this was going to cause so much extra work. She accused me of trying to pull a fast one on her, and basically insinuated that I was casing out the place. I even brought the owner of the other storage unit who could corroborate my story. Not only did she not help me at all, but she put me as far away from the unit that I wanted to be close to. Literally it was on the other side of the structure. It was a pretty horrible experience, and I thought it could be handled better. read more

Fraud! We officially moved out March 31. I let the office know 2 weeks prior, over the phone that we were going to be vacating by the 31st and I was told that she was noting it in my account. Office Manager Natalie specifically told us we were good. We left storage clean and WIDE OPEN. We then walked through office and let them know that we were done cleaning out, we were told nothing else was needed we tried to give them the key but were even told that they don't reuse locks so it's ours. Now 18 days later apparently we owe Aprils rent and amazingly theres no notes in their system that we informed them we were moving out. WOW. Absolute fraud! This management is a joke. OOO and the cherry on top.. while moving out we discovered that our storage items had been infested with rats. So theres that too. read more

Storage facilities are reasonably priced and online customer service is phenomenal. Storage facilities are reasonably priced in comparison to Darrell's and Public Storage and unfortunately that reflects in the in person service you will receive. The older lady that manages the facility is hard to get a hold of and AASS uses it to its advantage. I was not able to check out of my storage unit on the 25th of the month because I lost my key. So I had to wait until the 30th of June to have someone break my lock. I made an appointment with this lady to have someone meet me on 3 days later at 9am no one showed. 1 hour later the poor new girl in the office called someone to help me. It wasn't until noon when I my lock was broken I could finally begin to move my things. What kind of "manager" doesn't know how to keep appointments and break locks? Secondly I was told by the owner who broke the lock for me that my storage will be prorated until the 15th of the month. THAT WAS A LIE!! They charged me full month rent on the 15th and the "manager" was too afraid to tell me and instead sent the new girl to inform me I was charged full price. In closing AASS will nickel and dime you, all while field mice attack anything lying on the bottom of your storage unit. Rent at your OWN RISK!! read more

I would leave negative stars if there was an option. They make up policies as they go. And make it real difficult for you to retrieve your items during a untimely, unfortunate situation. Never using their services again. read more

I'm not sure what has taken so long to write this review. I moved from San Marcos to Oakland and I decided on this place because of the absolute amazing price. The was a deal where you got one month free for each paid month, up to 6 months free. The staff is super friendly and really worked with me to get set up. It's in a safe neighborhood. My stuff did get super dusty, in just a couple of months so I'm not looking forward to that. The owner or manager lives on site. I'm very happy with this location. read more

If you like signing up with a low rate, moving all your stuff in, then having the rate frequently increased and the access hours reduced, then this is the place for you. If you like being treated like a important customer and getting a good value for your money, then go across the street. Wish we had never set foot on this property. read more

Do not recommend. Facility is nice enough but there people that work there are horrible. When I initially called, they gave me a certain price. When I got there, however, it was way more. They said I needed certain insurance on the special lock that the person on the phone said nothing about. But I told him well the person on the phone that I called said nothing about that and even sent me an email saying exactly how much it would be. The response was "well they don't know how we run this location" and I said show me the people that manage all your locations know how you run your location? And the response was "well do you want it or not?" Absolutely garbage. read more

I have had a unit for over two years now. I liked their special when we first moved in "prepay for six months and get six months free." I didn't mind prepaying and it was around $80 a month avg for 12 months on a large unit. But then when my year ended it got raised to 125 a month. Now it's 145 a month! There are no "specials" no perks, and I really wish there were because now I'm having to look for a cheaper unit elsewhere... here we come Derrell's! Possible the worst ive been treated by an establishment here in Bakersfield. I run a small business, and this establishment has been unable to unlock my unit for 2 weeks. They have damaged the lock trying to drill into it. Today the manager told me i had to get my own lock smith after they damaged it. TWO weeks, missed appointments to cut my locks. As a Veteran i believe All American Storage should change that name. Ive treated poorly by them numerous times. After paying for a year. read more

I don't usually leave reviews of storage facilities, however this time I feel compelled to do so. Yes, All American Self Storage is clean, conveniently located, and has competitively priced units, but it is employee Peter Perez who made my experience here one I will never forget. On a 96 degree afternoon he left the comfort of his air conditioned office to assist me in the opening of my storage unit. He then proceeded to help me decide which way to fit the contents of my storage unit into my rather small Honda CRV. When I accidentally spilled a cup of water all over the floor, he graciously told me not to worry ,that he would clean it up. When it came time to check out I realized that I could not find my wallet and panicked (If you could not tell by now I was having a rough day). Peter calmly helped me search my car, and luckily we found it trapped under a seat. Thanks again Peter for making my day, and thank you All American Storage for hiring such a professional, kind, and helpful person. read more

My parents rent a unit at this storage place and my dad had went into the office in the morning and the lady was being very ignorant to what my dad was telling her. We went again in the afternoon and again she was being very ignorant and rude to us, she had a very bad attitude and didn't help us one bit, she seemed very racist and aggressive towards my Mexican father. read more

The move in was 1 dollar witch is great but now I have been here for over 6 months and now I got a email that my rent went up on my unit for $28 more dollars a month witch is insane.....I have rented from a lot of storages like Darrel's mini storage ad other ones and I've had them for years with them and not once have they ever went up on rent once u sign the contract with them.....but with this storage it did witch I have never heard of them going up once u been there smh I guess it's time to move out and take my buisness some were else ....I mean I understand if they had security gates put in or cameras but they don't even have eather ‍ Bad buisness for there company read more
