I concur with everyone's negative comments. This school is a mammoth of a joke. Never answers. Never returns call. Never has availability for drive time. No refunds on their inability to schedule drive times. After many --many attempts to schedule my daughter they finally gave me an appointment. Only one because I can't book more than one per week (why aren't they scheduled along with the drive classes---that makes too much sense!) on the day of her drive time--NO ONE SHOWED UP! no one called. No one emailed. No one texted. I called the following week and manger couldn't get on the phone so I asked the very new receptionist to relay to the manager that I expected a call back with resolution. No call back. I left numerous other messages and no call backs for any. How do they stay in business? Next website is better business bureau. Do not go here!!! I paid over $300 just to have my little brother take 7 driving section here due to a busy schedule. They told me he would be picked up from Wylie High School to do the sections but no one came. He waited for 2 hours! Not only that but it happened twice. When I try to voice my dissatisfaction about the service and standards of the place, they referred me to the secretary who couldn't be any rudder. She raised her voice at me and simply told me that the owner and her cannot do anything about it. In conclusion, NO STANDARDS, HORRIBLE SERVICE, and IRRESPONSIBLE. Don't trust them. read more

We paid a good deal of money to take the student classes. However, when the time came to take the 7 required driving courses, there are not enough slots for students to take. Supposedly, you can take 2 classes a week. In reality, you need to call in daily to see if there are any cancellations to get a class. Very disorganized. Do not enroll your son or daughter here - it will literally take six months to take all seven driving courses and only if you call in at least twice per week. read more

I rarely take the time to leave a review, unless the service was outstanding. My experience with All American Driving school was outstanding - outstandingly bad. It was the worse customer service I have ever received. When my mother and I called to get information and schedule an appointment with the driving school, the secretary did not know what she was talking about. She had no idea what the policies of the school were, how to schedule us in over the phone, or anything we were asking. She requested us to come in so we could ask in person. When we arrived, she acted very cold towards us: no greeting, no smiling, one worded replies. Not only that, she scheduled me in the wrong time slots. Adult drivers are supposed to get 2 hours with the instructor alone per lesson, so we can get our drive time done faster. She scheduled me in with the teenagers, one hour per lesson + another hour in the backseat. She did not explain this to us until we showed up for my first lesson, which started 30 minutes later than scheduled because the staff were too busy laughing and joking around amongst themselves to pay attention to their clients. When I asked them to reschedule me with the adult times, they refused. From then on, since we had already paid the fee upfront, we were left with no choice but to continue my lessons with them. I scheduled 7 hours of drive time. My last 3 were a pain to schedule. After calling the school multiple times, sending them my work schedule, even told them I was willing to take a day off to finish it, they never got back to me. For 3 weeks it was me calling, texting, etc and them saying "ok we will get back to you" or "we will let you know". But, of course, they never got back to me. Until I asked for a refund, they ignored my calls and texts. The first time I asked for a refund, the instructor, Linus, told me to come in Saturday at 9am-11am for 2 hours. When I showed up, conveniently he "forgot" he had a class to teach at 10, so was unable to instruct my second hour with him. What a liar. This is fraud. Afterwards, I kept trying to schedule my final lesson with him, but he kept ignoring my texts and calls, and this man is on his phone all the time! I see him in the car during and after lessons checking his phone, or answering calls. There is no way he "didn't see my text", or "didn't receive my call". He outright ignored his client. Finally, I gave up. I texted him, telling him that I am demanding my money back within the next week. He replied within a minute: "thats fine....", the fastest he's ever replied to me. Fast forward over 2 weeks later, no money and no word from the driving school. I've already completed my driving test and passed, no thanks to them. All of my requests have gone down a black hole. Not only that, they were quite racist towards me too. One of the staff - an older gentleman, white - said "Hi, Lee, drive time today?". I corrected him, letting him know that my name is Linda. He kept on calling me "Lee", as if I didn't just tell him my name is Linda. The way I was treated was just unacceptable. I was a paying customer, therefore deserved to be treated as such. If I pay for a service, I expect to get the service I paid for. I do not deserve to be lied to, ignored, or to experience racism. Don't book with this driving school. They are a mess. They are committing fraud. Save your money and headaches and go with someone else, anyone but them. read more

Poor customer service, they never answer the phone, will give you the run around , they happily take your money but can't provide drive times once the course work is completed we've been trying now for 6 months and scheduled to get her license next month and we've only had 1hr of drive time. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. They have several locations. All the instructors seem nice and do a good job - but management is TERRIBLE. They rarely if ever answer the phone. Feel free to leave a message - it will not be returned. You have to go in person to schedule drive time (see point 1 - they don't answer the phone and don't return calls) The contact form on their website is broken - so don't bother. They closed two locations without notice to customers (you just show up and schedule remaining drive time to find the office empty). I just wrote this review in Google, but wanted to make sure it was here too. We started with All American Driving School Wylie last May. I am happy to say a year later, we are finally finished. The ONLY reason is because of Leanne at the front desk. We went from a 1 star horrible experience to a 4 stars solely because of this woman. I cannot say enough good things. All American does a great job with picking your child up at the school, and easing the stress of the permit test and paperwork, and helping with all the videos the teens need to watch, but when it came time to the drive times, it was an absolute nightmare. We finished all the classes at the end of May and were able to get one or two drive times in June, but after that I literally called every time they told me the new schedules would be posted, and every time, it was already full. This went on for MONTHS. No one answered calls. I would drive all the way over there, and I still couldn't get my daughter drive times. I cannot even say how powerless it makes you feel, especially because I needed my daughter to have an instructor teach her how to drive because I knew I'd be the screaming mother. As it turned out, I was still the screaming mother. My daughter loves Linus, and most of the driving teachers were very patient with her for which I am truly grateful, but none of that would have mattered if Leanne hadn't shown up and gotten the front office organized and helped us get our drive times done. Seriously! She answered phone calls, called back, tried to fit us in in creative ways, got extra teachers when she first arrived to try to make up for all of us in limbo, the list goes on and on. Leanne, if you are reading this, thank you so much. I would recommend this drive school 100% if you are there. If not, I would say, be prepared for a lot of frustration. read more

They gladly took our money upon registration and then proceeded to tell us there were no driving times for 4-6 weeks. Once we finally signed up for drive times, they were cancelled at the last minute. I felt that they were extremely disorganized and would give us conflicting information based on who was working the front desk. We use the location in Plano on Park and Midway. What Alan said in 2013 is the same today! You pay your stuck!!! When it comes down to scheduling drive times, it's very hard!!! They overbook and allow only to scheduled 2 drive times at a time. Would recommend another drive school for your child not this place. Not worth the headache! I suggested she go on line to become familiar but she said they had no computer! this driving school actually sucks. it's such a joke. i was on the phone with them for 2+ hours trying to schedule my daughters last 2 drive times and she went up there on the day we both agreed on and they said that she never signed up. my daughter has been trying to get her license for 3 years but the never call to tell me when a class is open. and if i recall they said she didn't exist in the system one time. so i am trying to call them so i can see if i can get her papers and register under parent taught but of course they haven't answered. please don't send your kids here. read more

I've been with All American Driving for a good time now and I'm so impressed with the atmosphere and kind teachers that are present there. Today, got my permit certificate, although it's $20, it's worth it because you avoid long lines and taking the test at the DPS. Linus Walton is the manager on site and he is simply the best instructor you can have. He has a long time experience being an educator and a principal for 5 years before retiring into driving school. Don't let that fool you, Linus is top notch material and has a lot of good and wise words to share with his students. Overall, it's a great place. I highly recommend it. One thing they could improve in though is possibly update a few on their learning guides but everything they have is still in working order. Thanks, All American! read more

Actually they don't even deserve one star. I am disappointed with this company to say the least. My son started the drivers ed program in January of this year. I paid all of the money up front for this program which was to include a month long instructional class and 14 hours of instructor driving times. My son completed the classes. We called numerous times to schedule our drive times and they never have any availability. You leave a message and you never get returned calls. We finally got someone to answer the phone and confirmed a time at 8 am on a Saturday and the driver had another A Russell listed and so basically there was some confusion with the scheduling. So we didn't get to do an driving that day. I let that go so we called back and scheduled another drive time for double times on Saturday. They cancelled it 3 days before hand saying they had thought it was the other A Russell. My son had schedule another double time and that failed to mention it to me so that was on us because we missed that appt not their fault. Now we try to call back and talk about scheduling more times. I couldn't talk because the manager of this operation Lioness talked over me and said that he has documentation that we missed our appts 5 times. He and I have had this conversation twice before and he agreed with me the first couple of times that they had made errors the first few times. This time he said that double drive times were not allowed and then he tried to blame us for no showing all 5 times. Customer services is lousy and just rude. I was basically hung up on and not sure what to do now to complete my sons drive times but clearly there is a misunderstanding. My thing is don't lie. Just take ownership for it and try to work with a customer to fix the issue. Don't be argumentative and rude! I would not recommend them to anyone unfortunately. read more

When I first heard about All American Driving School, I thought it sounded great. I looked forward to my first class because I was ready to get my permit and learn how to drive. When I began my four week session here, my expectations were not met. I decided to take the first of two options of two hour sessions, one right after school and the other after that at 6:45. The classes claim to run about two hours, but often only use 90 minutes of the time. In the class itself, students learn about the dangers of driving a car and the dangers of being distracted while doing so, but not much to prepare them for the actual experience of driving. Teachers use 30 year old VHS tapes to go along with the lesson, and much of the information is out of date. In fact, the entire school is very outdated as they keep files in paper format and one does not see many technological innovations anywhere. The school does offer permit testing, however you cannot process the permit there and if you take the earlier classes , then it is nearly impossible to ever get to the DPS. The saving grace of this school is the teachers. They know the content they talk about and can often get a class of 41 students to focus for more than a few minutes. Overall, the school has a few aspects that benefit students, but the promises of a driving school are not fulfilled for the customers. read more
