Initially I thought his quote was a little high, but both my husband and I felt he was totally worth it as this was a detailed cleaning. A little about our situation..My parents purchased a home in Kingman, AZ last week, it was "move-in ready" minus the gross carpets! According to their agent, the carpets would be clean prior to them moving in- but this wasn't the case. Someone did come out ( don't know who, it was through the real estate company) half-assed the job and made it so much worse. All the carpets in the 3 bedrooms and living room were visibly dirty, stiff, with pet hair all around the outlines of the rooms, and the whole house smelled like dog urine! It was awful, my dad considered tearing out the carpet or replacing it but the prices were high and the wait time ..ridiculous (4+ months for installation). Being new to the town and not knowing anyone to ask for recommendations , they checked on Yelp and found Tri-State Chem-Dry. I reached out and got a hold of Kevin, I explained the situation and was able to schedule an appointment for this past Wednesday. In our case, we were not quoted over the phone because it is difficult to know how bad the carpets actually were. On the day of the appointment, he showed up on time and ready to asses the damage. Turns out we were right, It was bad but not enough to replace the carpet - saved my parents so much money! He quoted my parents prior to doing any work and was very informative about the process. If he's not available when I need him, I simply wait until he is. Tile is meant for an expert that knows the quality of the tile, the grout, sealant, installation, and more and there isn't anything else that gets more wear and tear than your floor and/or tile shower. LTD has proven that they are professional, work harder and faster than many other tile companies out there with reasonably low prices (I learned the hard way not to go lowest bidder with tile) and extremely high quality installation. They always finish faster than expected and clean up the mess that installing tile makes. I can't wait to purchase a home with a backyard so I can have him tile a custom outdoor BBQ area. Some of the tile jobs he has done for me including my personal condo was over 9 years ago and still looks great. When you have some tenants that ruined the carpet I went straight to Aaron and asked about tiling my entire condo. He finished in a few days and has remained in great shape for 9 years. Always looking forward to flooring because I know my jobs are getting closer to being finished and ready to sell or rent. I would honestly not recommend anyone else after working with LTD. We needed to do several improvements to their house, including installing a new tile floor in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms, and new carpeting throughout the rest of the house. We contacted Tile Assassins owner Ryan before heading down to get started on the work to explain our situation and set up a time to meet with him. Ryan showed up promptly at 7 AM on a Monday morning the day after we arrived to look at the job and give us an estimate. His associate tile craftsman Kyle also showd up. We agreed on a price and materials and Kyle got started on the job right away. Kyle was able to install the kitchen and bathroom floor tile in a couple days. The job turned out great. Ryan also gave us the number of a carpet installer whose name was Ray. We gave Ray a call and he got back with us a little later to give us an estimate on installing the carpet and ideas for where to purchase the carpet. Ray was also able to pick up the carpet for us and get it installed within a couple days. Tile Assassins killed it! The communication with Ryan and his craftsman was good. They really respected our time constraints and were able to accommodate our schedule. The price for both the tile and carpet jobs were fair and we were happy with the quality of both jobs. Upon checkout, a rushed, I got a I-don't-have-time-for-you 10 minute whirlwind thru the house, with no real explanation of the charges. When I got the house, it stunk, and when I left it it was much better, but I was still charged for cleaning. This is exactly what is wrong with America today: those with any amount of power abuse it at the expense of those with less power. These people will nickel and dime you with every fee they can come up with, but offer you no help with even basic things. Even worse than that is their attitude in dealing with their customers: I have never met any other business that so obviously looks down upon their customers as nuisances. Look, don't even bother looking at their list of houses. Just go elsewhere. You'll see thru a quick search that other places in town have much better ratings. And you'll also see that I am hardly the only one with a horrible experience with these people.
