Starting with Jennifer in the office who is very nice and explains their service extremely well, then Daniel and John came and did astounding work on our old chipped and stained porcelain sink. I did not have a service from this company because they canceled the appointment day before, saying they two busy to provide service. The appointment was scheduled 3 weeks ago, and I took an unpaid day off to accommodate the schedule, but they stood me up and destroyed the planned day. Cancel the last minute and No apologies from them. I do not recommend this company because of poor customer service and expensive service!!! In addition, I have to say, that I asked them to repair reglaze small tub spots; they sent me a proposal for 3 spots for $250, and if there were any additional spots, they would charge more. Awesome! I couldn't be happier with my experience using Tubby's to refinish the tub and tile work in our guest bathroom. The tub is original to our 1987 home, and I really didn't want to spend a ton of money to completely replace and re-tile a tub that doesn't get a lot of use. Enter Tubby's! I requested a quote via Yelp, and Jennifer was really nice and prompt with a quote. Scheduling was simple also! On the day the work was done, Daniel showed up right on time to begin the prep and Mike came by later to do the refinishing and clean up. Both guys were professional and took great care to protect the paint, fixtures, etc. The whole process took about five hours, and the result is remarkable. Check out pics! Tub went from dented and dingy to bright white and clean. I also appreciate the non-slip texture of the refinish. My only (minor) concern were the fumes!! *SCAMMERS *SHODDY WORK *NO CUSTOMER SERVICE I had two tubs refinished/painted and BOTH started peeling. I had to rip out and completely replace BOTH and they refused to take any responsibility for either one. Complete headache and I'm out a lot of money! See the pics I attached for proof. Tub #1: Had refinished 9/29/16, in a rental. It started peeling 2 months later!!! When I originally called them out, they said they couldn't do it because the faucet was leaking. So I called a plumber out, he said he fixed it. Tubby's goes back out and says the faucet is still leaking but they can do it. Nothing else was said! So I'm thinking "ok, we're good". Two months later, my tenant starts complaining that it's peeling like crazy! Tubby's reply is that the leaking faucet 'compromised' the paint job and that voided the warranty. WHAT?! You never said anything about a voiding a warranty. If the faucet is causing it, why is it peeling in the back?! They offered to fix it for a price. So I can be out more money? No thank you! Tub #2: Had refinished 7/18/16, also in a rental. September 2017 (a mere 14 months later), it starts to peel & stain. I email them and they tell me "Unfortunately, it is not under warranty. We are also in the middle of a big project and are not in a position that we can provide an estimate for the work at this time." Basically, sorry you missed the warranty by 2 months and we can't be bothered with you right now anyway. Wow, just wow! Yes, crappy companies still exist and this is one of them. In both cases, I had to completely rip out the tub/shower and replace it costing me thousands - which I should've just done in the first place. Do these refinish jobs really work? I don't know - but I do know that you shouldn't go with Tubby's to do it. Whatever excuse/reply/rebuttal they add to this - just look at the pictures. In both cases, the tub started peeling. She was very thoroughly in explaining their services and timeline. Made an appointment and they showed up on the day we agreed upon and was very in tune with our expectations. John's brother came in early and did the prepping and John came in thirty minutes later and completed the finishing touches to the product. What an amazing job they did. They did everything they promised to do and then some, that included adding a non-slip tread on the bottom of the tub. I am really happy with the job they did and will be keeping them on my list.
