Got an estimate in April but they didn't come out until August. I was initially quoted $8k to…read moreremove 5 trees, trim up branches on 3 other trees and to grind up and remove the 5 stumps. The mailed estimate however was $14,000.00 and some change. They took down the trees and said someone else would remove the cut down trees and grind up and remove the stumps. The stump grinder came and said that he was only going to do 4 of the 5 stumps and I could pick out which ones. I called the company and told them that this wasn't the deal so th sent out their team again. I showed them that they didn't finish the tree trimming and ivy removal on a tree in the back yard. They said they needed a lift to do it and would be back but did grind the final stump. When the team came out to finish the tree in the back, that team said they weren't going to work for free and had the office call me and tell me there was an additional $600 charge to trim one additional branch that they had forgotten. I paid the almost $15k and told the office that the French Drain in my backyard was not working after they dropped 2 trees on top of it and I was told that the owner (Steve, the 5 star review on here), would come look at the French Drain. He never came but sent out the bill for the additional $600. So my estimate of $8,000 went up to $15,000.00 and I've got to find a contractor to repair what they crushed (the French Drain) and still haven't seen anyone from C S Flournoy to even look at what was damaged and what wasn't done. I had to remove the ivy from my trees myself even though that was part of the initial estimate. The secondary tree trimmers have left huge tire tracks across my front yard bc they didn't want to backup from the street.

We recently purchased a house that had several large trees very close to the house,including 4…read morethat were dead. We were very nervous about the trees, and called a couple of tree services out to give us their opinion as to what trees needed to be removed. Both services recommended removing all of the trees as they were too close to the house and all had branches hanging over or endangering the home. We chose Orleans Co Tree Service because they are not landscapers that also do trees, they are a liscensed, insured, dedicated tree service with certified arborists. Their pricing was excellent, and the bid was total, any taxes, fees,etc, were included in the price. Additionally, they took away all the wood, cleaned up any limbs and leaves, and ground all of the stumps. They had 10 trees down, including 125' pine, a 59+ foot rotting maple, and the 4 dangerous to cut dead trees, stumps ground, and detritus cleaned up, in 5 hours. Amazing!

He did Google suggested treatments and saw that winter was the right time to trim arbors. Then he left. I don't think I could've been any clearer about what was required. And yet.
