The mailed estimate however was $14,000.00 and some change. They took down the trees and said someone else would remove the cut down trees and grind up and remove the stumps. The stump grinder came and said that he was only going to do 4 of the 5 stumps and I could pick out which ones. I called the company and told them that this wasn't the deal so th sent out their team again. I showed them that they didn't finish the tree trimming and ivy removal on a tree in the back yard. They said they needed a lift to do it and would be back but did grind the final stump. When the team came out to finish the tree in the back, that team said they weren't going to work for free and had the office call me and tell me there was an additional $600 charge to trim one additional branch that they had forgotten. I paid the almost $15k and told the office that the French Drain in my backyard was not working after they dropped 2 trees on top of it and I was told that the owner (Steve, the 5 star review on here), would come look at the French Drain. He never came but sent out the bill for the additional $600. So my estimate of $8,000 went up to $15,000.00 and I've got to find a contractor to repair what they crushed (the French Drain) and still haven't seen anyone from C S Flournoy to even look at what was damaged and what wasn't done. I had to remove the ivy from my trees myself even though that was part of the initial estimate. The secondary tree trimmers have left huge tire tracks across my front yard bc they didn't want to backup from the street.

Terrible company. The guy who runs this is argumentative and has a reputation for being a jerk. My…read moreown personal interaction with this company resulted in a full blown argument because he wanted to come over with no notice and trim my trees a day before it was scheduled to be done. This was, he said, because it was convenient for him. When I informed him it wasn't a good time for my family, (My kid was taking an exam for a college course online) he went nuts, screaming and yelling about it being a "scheduling error" and saying "my wife screwed up my schedule, it's all her fault". Eventually I was told that either he was coming to cut my trees right then, or it would be never. I opted for never. Personally, I got no respect for a guy who puts his name as the owner, but blames his wife for the problems. In speaking with my friend, a fellow business owner who knew this guy very well, I found out that he's got a real reputation for this type of interaction.

I interviewed Green Dreams along with 2 other landscapers a year ago. The owner of Green Dreams…read moreasked me how he could deliver excellent service. My answer was, "if your crew damages any parts of my property, then I expect you to fix it. I don't want to come home and discover something is broken and the crew didn't bother to take responsibility". The owner was ok with that so we engaged in a service contract. I've had several problems this past year including weeds in my lawn and in my beds, a broken landscaping light from a tractor running it over, and broken sprinkler piping from when aeration occurred. I had to call to get these issues resolved. Not good. My service contract says that weeding is part of my service. I never saw any of the crew address weed issues on my property (until I called them out on it). My contract also says that they would prune my shrubs/trees. Being that all my landscaping was all brand new, I didn't need any pruning... but still was I was paying for a service I wasn't getting. My contract also said I could expect to have my lawn mowed about once per week. They mowed about half that amount. So, essentially I paid $280 per month EVERY month whether they worked or not. Considering I haven't seen them from Sept to April, it's not a good deal. I'll update this review next season if my landscaping looks the way it should if I renew.
