ASAPpliance Repair (615) 410-2480 in the Nashville metro area was scheduled for a repair at a residence on 8/15/2022 between 9:00 am and 12:00 noon. At 11:58 am no one showed up or called. When the office was called, the representative said the technician would not be coming out due to car trouble. The did not nor were they going to notify the customers to let them know no one would be coming. Very poor customer service. read more

I called several companies before I called All Appliance Repair. I am an out of town landlord and needed someone to go by to look at my dryer as my tenants were having problems. I was trying to get someone out ASAP, that's why I failed to heed the negative reviews for this company. Charles Huff was able to go out the next day. He looked at the dryer and called me for payment via credit card that day, as agreed. Literally 2-3 weeks later, I'm camping with my son for his Fall Break. When we get back in cell range I have over a dozen texts and at least 5 calls (all over the course of a holiday weekend). Apparently, Mr. Huff had messed up in charging my card (according to his messages) and now 2-3 weeks later needed to get in contact with me to get my zip code. That in itself was not a problem, but over the course of 48 hours the tone of the calls rapidly disintegrated. From a "need some information" to a screaming "I'm going to sue you and charge you $500 for all the trouble you are putting me through." Complete crazy person! He also wanted to charge me a different amount than he'd originally stated - now it was $60 v. the $50 he originally quoted. I texted him back as soon as I got the messages and reminded him that I needed an invoice for my taxes. I got just an email titled "Here's the invoice you never asked for". I am not even kidding. I paid him as agreed on the day of service. If he forgot to put the card though or had trouble, well that happens. But don't blame it on your customer and literally threaten them and demand $500 because they are not immediately available on a holiday weekend! Also, just don't be crazy, period. read more

I only use my precious time to write reviews for exceptionally good or unusually bad service. This unfortunately, is a case of the latter: Based on the positive reviews, I called All Appliance Repair for a problem with my LG washer. From the start I could tell this guy was in no mood to be bothered by a phone call. That's fine. I get it. We're all busy. I'll cut him a little slack on his phone etiquette. However, it got worse. I couldn't even get him to prompt me as to how the conversation was supposed to go? Do you need to know my washer's brand? How does this work? So I just started explaining what was wrong. In the midst of my explanation, the gentlemen cut me off mid-sentence and said "I can't do anything about this over the phone, so I don't need that many details." I had been literally talking for maybe 10 seconds when he said this. It was rude. He was short with me. With so many other options in this world (and people who clearly want my business more than this guy), call someone else. They all charge about the same, so why not find someone who is respectful of what a possible customer has to say? Badly done, guy. QUICK UPDATE: I called Fit It Right Appliance Repair (615-418-0234) and explained the same, very specific issue that my machine was having to him--the very explanation I was not allowed to give at All Appliance Repair. He listened and told me that he clearly knew the problem (a common one) and because my explanation was clear and concise (my words not his), I would not have to pay the service fee. Let me first start by saying that the job was done well and my washer was fixed ($165). This guy was in and out in about an hour & everything is running smoothly. But he is rough around the edges. He complained about having to do manual labor the whole time he was at my house. He also complained about potential customers calling him on a Friday. Basically he just complained and cussed the whole time he was at my house...but at least my washer is fixed. Bottom line, this guy is unprofessional but he knows what he's doing. read more

This company is a joke. Guy came out to repair our fridge and when we called him back to let him know it still wasn't working properly he handled the situation very unprofessional. Started cussing and threatening to fight my husband. DO NOT USE THIS MAN FOR REPAIRS! Charged ridiculous prices in the first place and then to act belligerently to a paying customer that just wanted the service that were paid for completed. Well, I can't say that I have actually used this company, however I called them today and described the problem that I'm having with my less than 4 year old GE frontloader. He was very familiar with my problem and told me it was quite common and not something to worry about at all. That he didn't want me to have to pay a $60 service fee for nothing. At seventy years old and living in an old house and managing 3 others, I have seen every type of service person there is. This guy is as fine as they come. He responded quickly to the death of my geriatric Kenmore refrigerater. Promised to be at our side at 1:00 and arrived on the dot. Switched out a small part which he said might or might not fix the problem. Well, it did initially but the poor creature went into arrest a few hours later and passed away. Called back with sad news, and he insisted on rebating me half his charge, since it didnt work and refused to waste more of my money replacing other parts. Definitely will use him down the road. William (I'm told he's the owner) was great when he came out to look at my refrigerator. He diagnosed the problem as a bad computer chip, and told me it needed to be replaced. I paid in full (labor and parts) before William left my house, and he said he'd be back in a day or two to install the part. And that night, the unit started working again. I have since been refused a refund. I'm happy to pay for the house call, but the $300+ for the part I didn't need (I feel) should be on them. I wouldn't have agreed to pay for the part, had I not been told that I needed it. Very, very disappointed with this business and with the service. I can't help but feel a little scammed. read more

Stay away from this guy. I called him to fix my washer; he showed up, didn't even look at the switch at all, immediately said I needed a new timer and that he'd have to order the part. Said I could decide to fix it or leave it as is. I distinctly said, "No, I need it working. How long to get the part?" "Two days or so," he told me. I'll be back to put it in on Tuesday." Almost 2 weeks later and not a word. I called him today, asked what the deal was, he said he thought I didn't want to get it fixed. When I told him that I did want it fixed, and then asked how long it would take--admittedly, I was irritated--he said, "I don't need this, I'll mail you back your service call check." I'll be curious to see if I get it. He *should have* said, "Sorry, it was a misunderstanding," and then ordered the part. Not only would he have made more money, but I might have used him again. Now? If I could rate this business with zero stars I would. I now believe this business to be a scam and I think "angry Chuck" knows less about repairing appliances than I do. When he came out initially last week, he gave me the creeps and I should have listened to my intuition. He asked to use my computer to look up the appliance and called some parts distributor to price parts for my appliance. When I questioned him about a part he thought was needed, he became very defensive and rude. I cannot believe I scheduled him to come back out and do the repair after the negative vibe I felt from him, but I did. I also gave him a check for $60 as a deposit. I can't believe I did that, either. He texted twice to re-schedule, claiming the part had not come in. We finally rescheduled for this afternoon at 2:00. He called my cell phone at 1:45 to say he was sitting in my driveway but would just wait for me. He then called at 1:50 to say that he did not believe he had the right part after all and we would need to reschedule. As I was talking to him, I pulled up in my driveway. I told him I was behind his car and hanging up my phone and went to the front door to let my dogs out and he started yelling at me to listen to what he was saying. I told him I would talk to him as soon as I let my dogs out and he became outraged and slammed his door, telling me to call someone else for repairs and squealed out of my driveway. I called him immediately on his cell which went to voice mail and I informed him that I was filing a complaint with the better business bureau. While on the phone with the BBB, he texted me multiple times to tell me that he didn't like the way I talked to him and that I thought I was better than him. He said he would void my check and we would be even. I stopped payment on the check because, of course, I would not believe a word he says. Again, I believe this business is a scam. I do not believe he has any knowledge whatsoever in appliance repairs and just tries to act like he knows what he is doing long enough to collect a deposit for parts. Be warned; do not call this business. I think this guy has serious mental issues and I worry for anyone whose home he comes to. I wish I had seen these reviews before I called him! read more

If you don't want to read all of the details below, I'll summarize my experience with Charles Huff right here. He seems friendly at first meeting but then you quickly realize he is very spastic, careless, and unprofessional. Then he gets belligerent to the point where you have no choice but to have him leave in the middle of the repair since he's damaging items in your kitchen. See below for the whole story. First service call to diagnose my oven's issue was 20 minutes and cost me $60. Quoted me an additional $150 including parts and labor to come back and install new parts. During that first service call, he spent a lot of that 20 minutes talking about other stuff not related to my oven and was overall a bit spastic, but ok, I thought. He also asked me to get my computer so he could find out what parts he needed... and then proceeded to use my computer for about 10 minutes to search for the parts. A week later, he comes back to install the parts. He was 50 minutes late (although in his defense he did call me to let me know he was running 10-15 minutes late). He was obviously in a hurry and was just short with everything he said. He pulled my oven out without any regard for my kitchen floor, scratching the the tile. Again, I thought, ok, that's not a huge deal... stuff happens. I said I would go get something to put under it. Before I could even leave the kitchen to go get an old towel, he went and grabbed the front door mat without asking if that was ok. Again I thought, ok... no big deal. Then he starts taking the oven apart and doesn't have anywhere to put the screws so instead of asking me for a small container, he goes to put them in the bowl that we have our onions and potatoes in. Realizing that wasn't a good idea, he goes to my baby's food container and starts grabbing the lid off of it to use to hold the screws. I hardly had time to ask what he needed during all of this but when he grabbed the baby food, I told him no, let me get you a small tupperware container, which I did. At this point, I am realizing he's in a big hurry and being pretty careless. When he pulled the oven out the rest of the way, he did it in a way that again caused the tile to be scratched. I asked him to please be careful, letting him know the oven was again on the tile. After taking the door and setting it on the rug in the living room, taking another rug, marking up the floor with his black boots, and complaining that my oven was hard to work on (and me not saying anything to him about any of that), he takes (aka pulls) the back of the oven door off and knocks it against the cabinets. This time, I asked him to please be more careful with everything. It was at this point he said "I've been doing this 30 years and I'm not going to argue with you about this. If you say another thing I'm going to just leave!" My reply was I'm not arguing, I'm simply asking you to be more careful with everything in my kitchen. He then yelled "I'm not going to argue about this!" So at that point, I very calmly told him to leave my house. He seemed surprised and asked me if I wanted him to put the oven, which at that point was very dismantled, back together and I told him no, I wanted him to leave. To that, he said "ok well I'm not going to put it back together anyway!" Well ok then. In his mad frenzy to leave, he knocked several things off my refrigerator and was mumbling a bunch of stuff under his breath. I told him he needs to be more careful with customers' homes and showed him to the door, where after leaving, he started yelling at me from my front yard. Not so - he didn't even want to talk about my washing machine problem and said "That's a recall waiting to happen." I asked "A recall for GE or a recall or you?" He said "A recall for me." I called to ask if they sold parts and stated that the fan on my fridge went out. He said that he didn't sell parts and that he didn't think it was a fan problem and that he could come to my house the next day and fix my fridge for $130 and that the problem was probably more complicated than I think. Well, I found the part, installed it, and my fridge is as good as new now, saving over $100 dollars. read more

i have been a loyal customer to huff appliance service in nashville, tn for many years. i needed service but lost the phone number so i looked it up on the internet and this company is the one i found, due to the owner's name being huff. DO NOT GET THE TWO CONFUSED. while i have always been happy with my service from huff appliance service (out of east nashville) I could not have been more displeased with my service from this man. not only did he not fix my problem, but he was so rude! i ended up finding the number for the correct huff appliance and called them and was fixed in no time. read more

"Charles" (probably "Angry Chuck" from an earlier post) was who responded to my call. So if you use this service and a guy with red hair comes to your door, tell him your appliance needs no work today! He was probably on some kind of drug, because he did not stop talking the entire time he was here, which was about 40 minutes....he rambled on and on about everything from religion/mythology to how much he hated his job and couldn't wait to retire. In the beginning, I felt sorry for him. But later that day after he had finished working on it, the appliance was running very irregularly and the freezer door wouldn't close. I lost a freezer full of food, to which he replied "I doubt it". He got very defensive and complained about the time of day I had called (11am and 2pm?!). When we spoke at 2:30pm, he said he was "home for the day" and "too tired" to come out. His/their website touts honest service and says they are the #1 repair service in Nashville. Lies. He was rude, ineffective, and probably high. When I hired a different service to fix the door and do the work correctly, the guy knew exactly who I was talking about and said that "Charles" couldn't get a job with any repair place in town and so he started his own business. He said he didn't have any credit, so he never has any parts and often asks customers to buy the parts on their own. Strongly advise that you do not use this guy. read more

I was very blown away at the lack of professionalism that went on with this company. I'm not sure if Charles Huff owns this business or if he's just a technician. He did a decent job at fixing the problem but what came after was just ridiculous. Well beyond the scope of how a first-grader would act, let alone a seemingly professional adult. Everything from going to work on another job while in the middle of ours, telling us he normally charges one price but he's going to charge us $30.00 more for cleaning and then not doing it, to taking his boots off while doing the work. We were unable to get any kind of a proper invoice for the work being done. In a nutshell, it was a nightmare dealing with this kind of behavior. The time and effort spent literally arguing to try to get a straight answer or any kind of invoice was not worth it. I would highly recommend not using All Appliance Repair. This repairman initially seemed friendly. He came to fix our dishwasher and ice machine. While here he started pitching his website for his music and telling us about his record deal. My mom and I were with him and he used us to "help him" with the ice machine while he hooked it back up. He accused me of smashing his finger when I pushed the machine when he "was telling me to stop!" We were having trouble hearing him, and he scolded us to LISTEN so we didn't do that again. That should have been a red flag. He left my home after "repairing" the dishwasher. He left the dishwasher running and it flooded the floors again. When called he said he would order a part which he wouldn't charge me for unless it fixed the problem. He called yesterday to say the part was in and he would be at my house between 10-10:30 this morning. I had to call to let him know I had to be somewhere at 9:15. He became angry when I told him 10 wouldn't work. He said I had thrown a wrench in everything. I apologized. I remained very calm and nice and said I just needed to get it working. I tried to discuss rescheduling with him, but his rudeness was getting worse by the minute. I kindly thanked him and told him not to worry. I needed to try to get it fixed before next week since we had been without a dishwasher for two weeks. He called me a dumbass and told me to "go to hell" before hanging up on me. The guys name was Chuck Huff, not to be confused with Huff Appliance Repair who came highly recommended to me after calling Cenwood Appliance. I should have started there to begin with! We called this morning to see about a possible scheduling today due to our fridge not running properly, stated we would call this company back if we decided to use their service. After finding a better deal elsewhere, the repair man from this company proceeded to call me this afternoon to locate us as he could not find us on his gps. I stated to him that we didn't call back to schedule and we had someone else already out. The repair man was very rude and basically chewed me out over the phone stating that my husband had never called to cancel and that we wasted his time and day , he never gave me a chance to say anything, said whatever and hung up on me. My husband later called him to explain and was just as rude and also hung up on him. I will never recommend anybody to this company if that's how they treat their customers. I would not trust this person. I should have initially tried to call someone else when I first dialed his number and he answered angrily and almost hung up on me thinking I was a telemarketer. He demanded who I was and I told him I found his number online to fix my washer. I regret having him come to our home. He was very unprofessional in conversation and I felt uneasy and unsafe with him. He appeared to be either sick or on drugs, I'm not saying that lightly. He was acting manic and was hyper-verbal the entire time. Talking about homosexuality, politics, religion, mental health, and his music to name a few. At one point he started ranting about how much he hated his job and how depressed he was. He became angry when he hurt himself on my washer and denied help from me when I tried to offer him a bandage. Instead he chose to bleed everywhere grabbing my white bath towel on the washer and calling me "psycho" and uncaring because I was upset about a strangers blood falling all over my home. He even had the audacity to say I needed mental counseling because I was scared of him. He wrongly diagnosed the problem with my washing machine and ended up leaving me with a mess and a broken washer. He had a short fuse and should not be welcomed into anyone's home. read more
