I was quoted $99 for a service call fee to check my washer. The service was scheduled between 12:00-2:00. The technician got here at 2:15, and charged me $199. When I tried calling the office to figure out what happened, the girl who answered couldn't tell me anything and suggested I have the wrong number. Even though this was the number on their website and texted with the appointment confirmation. This feels very scammy. Do not recommend. EDIT: the very same technician who overcharged me for no reason then called me back & tried to bribe me to take down this review if I was given a full refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Would definitely not recommend. Quoted us $99 for a service call. Told us after they showed up that the service call was $169. Washing machine needs new shocks and they quoted us $589 to have shocks replaced when the entire washer is $499 to replace for the exact same washer. Once we explained the discrepancy to the tech, they started back tracking. Sadly not an honest or reputable company whatsoever. Will pay the $99 and consider this a learning lesson to never call them again. We just replaced shocks on another washer just last month and know they are around $100 plus labor. It's the end of week, laundry pile is high and the dryer has gone on strike. We called Fixify based on customer reviews and knowledge of our brand. Victor showed up, found the issue, found another, had the parts with him, fixed both, cleaned every inch internally and made it look like new. Not bad for a 20yo LG! Highly recommend Fixify. I don't even have enough time to express how frustrating our experience with Fixify was. TLDR: after 4 weeks of waiting, FIGHTING to coordinate appointments, ordering the wrong parts, etc., we had to beg to speak to a supervisor and cancel the work order. We did receive a refund, which I guess is good? But we did waste 4 weeks without a fridge to only be in the same place we started. Honestly, the scheduler Lucy was very nice, but the company contracts out to connect you with independent services. Clearly, this contractor was not well vetted, so the expectation of connecting us with a qualified appliance repairman was not met. Not worth the hassle. Use word of mouth the find a nice, local worker to support instead, but do NOT try Fixify if you value your time. They do not. read more

We had a washing machine with a broken lid latch. When we called for an appointment, they said they gave a military discount of ten percent. The repairmen showed up and diagnosed the problem. I paid him $100 for the service call, but he never gave the promised ten percent discount. I immediately called the office and told them, and they said they would take care of it. They never called back. I left 2 messages after that. The repairman texted me the cost of the repair -- and I mentioned the fact that they never gave us the military discount for the service call. So it was reasonable that I would like to take the ten percent ($10) off the cost of the repair. He never responded back. We have called them three times but I think they have our number blocked because they refuse to answer, and the recording says this number is "no longer available". Would not recommend them at all. If they were an honest company, the least they could do is COMMUNICATE with the customers. read more

Great same day service on a weekend to fix our fridge. Paul was friendly and very knowledgeable.

The freezer in our Kitchenaid built-in refrigerator was not getting cold enough and it was cheaper to repair than replace in our case. I used the Yelp quote feature and these guys responded immediately on a Saturday. A guy came to our home and did some deep troubleshooting, taking apart much of our freezer, which I appreciated since I knew that they were doing some actual work for the $99 service call fee. He ended up finding the issue and told me another technician would be there on Monday, a holiday. Honestly I was a little hesitant at first, but these guys came through for us bigtime and saved us a lot of money in the end. It's been a week and the fridge is still working better than ever. read more
