On the hunt for a better solution, I came across Advance Appliance Repair. Never again will I call the competition. My entire experience from start to finish was excellent. We had two problems to address: a leaky washing machine and a broken ice maker. Scheduling was a breeze and super transparent. There was no 20-hour window, where I was stuck at home waiting for a service pro. Instead, as promised, the guy called me that morning and we worked out a mutually agreeable time frame for him to come by. Thomas was on time and efficient. He got right to work , finding and fixing the source of the leak right away. It also took him no time to identify why our fridge ice maker was broken. Because they are authorized repair people, he has access to a whole database of makes, models and parts for a wide range of appliances. Within moments, he figured out what we needed and had written up a detailed estimate of how much it would cost to order the part and repair it. Thomas and his team stayed in touch over the next few days to confirm the part had arrived and to schedule a time for him to come install it. Advance appliance repeatedly misdiagnosed my appliance, charged me approx $1,000 and their owner basically told me to deal with it. He was unapologetic and unwilling to accept responsibility for his techs who were unable to fix the issue. multiple service calls, no resolution or proper repair. I will never recommend them to anyone I know. Charging someone for repairs that didn't fix a problem is fraudulent. I plan to file with the BBB and possibly small claims court. I called Advance Appliance Repair and they scheduled us for a technician visit about a week out. When the technician Joe arrived he was so friendly, cheerful and professional. My washer broke yesterday and I tried calling Advance Appliance Service to get it repaired. They took all my information and then asked if it was under warranty. I told them I've had it 5 years and they stated they could not work on it, I would have to call the manufacturer and go through them. I then asked if I could just pay for the repair myself as I work 10 hr days and just need it fixed or replaced. They still would not agree to come to fix it. Guess I'll just go to Lowes and pick a new one out and see if I can get it delivered on my day off. Really got the feeling they didn't want to do the work from the person who answered the phone. This is the first time I've used Advance Appliance Service, Inc, and i'm so grateful I found them! I will now forever be a client of theirs. It's especially relieving to me knowing that this is a business I can trust as I manage my properties out of state. The ice machine in one of my units broke. Shannon and the tech Jeff were in constant contact with me as well as my tenant. (They were especially patient as my tenant unfortunately canceled on them a number of times). When Jeff first went over to look at the fridge he called me with an estimate as parts had to be replaced. As soon as the replacement part came in they scheduled a return visit and the ice machine now works again! They also stayed right on the estimate which I really appreciate. I cannot say enough about the service we received! We had a leaking Whirlpool dishwasher that we had tried to fix ourselves, had another repair company try to fix, and finally called Advance Appliance because of the great reviews. Our technician, Darren, diagnosed the problem immediately! He ordered the part and our dishwasher was back up and running within a week of my first call to them. I will definitely call this company again with any appliance needs. And, my 4 year old grandson was at our house for the first and second visits and Darren was so kind to him while he asked a dozen questions about the repair. Our refrigerator lost it's cool and was flashing an error code, so I called Advance Appliance, based on the reviews I read. They turned out to be GREAT! Mr. Thomas Deadman showed up the same morning I called, diagnosed the problem, and explained what needed to be done for the repair. As it turned out, we decided to go ahead and buy a new unit, as this one was nearly 12 years old. I asked Mr. Deadman's advice on buying something new, as opposed to the repair. He was very candid, laid out the facts, and we made up our minds. The experience was very positive from start to finish. I highly recommend this company. $1,500 for 1.0-1.5hr labor! I have an "S" stamped on my forehead for stupid. I trusted & paid without seeing details. Their tech told me he gave me a break because he wouldn't have to remove fridge doors and I had clamp work lights illuminating the area, cleared work space and even had a small step ladder in place for him. You can see in the pictures the mechanical part is easy to get to. I assumed when he quoted the price it was soo hi because its SubZero and parts presumably are expensive. My stupidity culminated in paying without seeing details. I asked for a receipt and was told the office will send. I didn't receive and it took four calls by me to finally get a receipt with my suspicions increasing then confirmed when they belatedly sent me the receipt. I was shocked to see they charged $1500 for labor when I knew it only took 1.0-1.5hr and was faster because of my help and then discovered one more slap when I learned even with an outrageous labor bill they only stood behind their work for 30 measly days. I called to try to see if error or they'd be more reasonable--nope- Mr Drew Deal, the owner, said very reasonable because their tech had a lot of training (which is true because I experienced his efficiency and expertise) but even an expert shouldn't charge $1500 for one measly hour. And if he was such an expert, why stand behind it only 30 days (they then changed it to 90 days)! I bet he'd scream in outrage if the owner was charged $1500 for dental tooth cleaning or eye exam or his tax accountant. I also bet when its time to pay his tech he doesn't say--your an expert and entitled to $1500 (nor even a fraction of it) for each hour you work. Unfortunately I'm not the only one who was charged $1500 for labor; you can see other Google reviews with exactly the same dollar figure and complaint. Don't get an "S" stamped on your forehead because you're trusting. read more

I called and asked to speak to a technician before paying $109 trip fee. I was told it is not possible to speak with a technician prior to the technician arriving on-site. With having 2 electrical sparks and 2 large pops coming from my stove I would prefer to not pay this service fee it is not repairable. I was told there are no stand by technicians.. haha! The appointment setter is merely there to charge service fees and secure appointments, nothing more! read more

The service was great. The repair person assessed the situation quickly and replaced a worn out sensor in my microwave. My only negative about this service is that I thought the trip charge and replacement part were a little high in price. It ended up costing half of what a new over the range microwave would cost. Our refrigerator leaked water on a large portion of our wood floor in our kitchen. After weeks of dealing with another good service appliance repair service, they advised we should contact the manufacturer after many attempts to find the problem. Instead, we contacted Advance Appliance Service and Jeff Wilcox was able to solve our problem by repairing the water tank and replacing a valve that was leaking. Over the years, Advance Appliance has worked on every appliance in our kitchen, and even the laundry room. They are very efficient in ordering parts and keeping the customer updated in the process. We recently had a warranty issue with the telescoping downdraft on our range that we feared might be a manufacturer's defect with no fix possible without tearing out our counter top, etc. These guys worked their magic and fixed it!
