My only complaint is that it's not handicap accessible at all (it's an old building there isn't much they can do to change that unfortunately) and it gets HOT during the summer, there doesn't seem to be any AC but they do have a lot of fans around that help! When checking out today I was drenched in sweat, and the cashier mentioned how nice out it is and I agreed but said it's a little warm inside, and she just started arguing with me telling me that it's not hot in there at all (it was easily over 95° in the building, especially in the back where there is no air flow) another coworker seemed to try to deescalate the situation and explain that they're just use to it being even hotter in there, and I agreed with her because this was nothing to fight over. But the whole experience was so weird and tone deft. I'll still be back, usually the staff is very friendly. I guess just don't mention the temperature lmao

I didn't end up buying anything but spent a good 45 minutes just looking around and feeling the nostalgia from my childhood. There are different booth numbers where I'm guessing people bring their things to sell on consignment. Some may say it's junk but honestly, I feel like there is some history there. They have everything from stickers to kitchen items, furniture and holiday decorations. It's a fun place to look around, even my husband thought so.

High Cotton is a 5,500 sqft spot located in downtown Dickson that specializes in antiques, crafts,…read morerefreshed goods along with new, packaged gifts. Like your normal antique shops, there are many vendors who have their own booth, so items can range in variety and price with each step you take. Unlike your normal antique shops, you are greeted by a 6 ft catfish at the front door and there is a fantastic mural on the side of the building! We came by in search of antique/refurbished furniture, more specifically a kitchen table. Sadly this place does not have many furniture vendors, but what they lack in furniture they make up for in eclectic variety of everything else from candles to art to retro kitchen sets, restoration kits, incense, vintage toys, clothing and all kinds of knick-knacks. Service was non-existent sadly. The attendant was present, but could not be bothered with looking up from her phone as we wandered around the main floor where she was located. There were many people coming in and out, and she did not speak to anyone. I get it may not be the most exciting spot to be on a weekend, but a little "hello/have a good day" can go a long way. Overall, High Cotton was a cool spot. The location in downtown Dickson is cool as well. The area is certainly small-town America at its core, so once you are done wandering around inside, hit the sidewalks and do the same on the square. We live in Nashville proper, but this spot makes for a good afternoon weekend trip everyone once in a while!
