I recently lost my brother 3-10-26. I called a week before his passing. I was quoted on the phone 1,600. The day he passed away I went to office on forest avenue. I was given a price of 2600. I felt violated an outraged. I then went to Forest North. What a difference. Those ladies are amazing. This place left me so confused. Services used 04/2025 Losing a loved one is never easy. But with all boro cremation services, I always felt at ease. They always answer the phone in a calm tone, and it is very alleviating when you're in a state of panic and pain. They answered all the questions patiently, and calmly, as we had many. Their online Ordering system was very easy to use & very convenient. They followed up immediately if anything was missing, or was necessary to complete the process order. They do have bilingual staff there, which is incredibly important. I can't thank them enough. There was instances of stress with the pick up on behalf of the hospital, but All Boro made sure that we received attentive services and timely Return of our loved one. I AM WRITING THIS REVIEW TO CAUTION ANYONE WHO NEEDS TO ARRANGE CREMATION SERVICES FOR A LOVED ONE: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, RELY UPON ALLBORO CREMATION SERVICES. Here is my family's story: On 5/24/2024, I called AllBoro to gather information regarding cremation of my sister's remains. At that time, she was entering the later stages of breast cancer. We weren't certain of when we'd lose her but I wanted to be prepared. I spoke with Mildred who explained AllBoro's procedures. Part of what would happen when the time came involved calling AllBoro to report my sister's death. Mildred told me after they received the call, AllBoro would come to pick up her body "WITHIN FOUR HOURS, ON THE DAY OF HER DEATH". On 10/16/2024, my sister's condition was much worse. I called AllBoro again to ask about the forms I would have to complete following my sister's death. I wanted to complete as much of the paperwork as I could prior to her death because I knew I wouldn't be able to think clearly when I heard. This time I spoke with Josie at AllBoro. She reiterated what Mildred had told me: after my sister's death was reported to them, AllBoro would come to pick up her body "WITHIN FOUR HOURS, ON THE DAY OF HER DEATH". My sister died on the afternoon of 12/8/2024. My sister had been receiving Hospice care. Someone on the Hospice staff called AllBoro to report her death. Allboro's response was WE DON'T HAVE A DRIVER'!! Then, they said they could pick up her body SOMETIME THE NEXT DAY!! I can't express how horrifying this was to hear! Our sister lived in Manhattan. I am one of four sisters and we are (were) very close with one another. Two of us are in our 70s, the youngest is 64. We all live far from New York City. I did my research; I asked lots of questions when I spoke with staff at AllBoro, and I believed, at the time, that I'd made arrangements for her cremation with a reputable company. Because AllBoro failed us, my sisters and I had to find a funeral home asap under the worst conditions. We are a close family. Our sister meant the world to us. She had suffered from her disease over many years. And then this happened! Luckily, we found Crestwood Funeral Home. They took her body later that night, and when I spoke with their director, Jared Oswald-King, the next morning I felt she had gone to the right place. Shocking apathy and incompetence. My baby daughter tragically died, and no one bothered to even say sorry for your loss. Monica made up a fake DOH delay and told me it would be faster if they buried her--right after I told her I was Hindu and it was important to have the cremation by sundown. I called the hospital and discovered there was no DOH issue. These people are sick. Don't desecrate your loved one's memory by coming here. read more

I recently had my Mom cremated - she passed away unexpectedly, from complications following a stay in the hospital for COVID. I had never had to make arrangements, by myself. It may seem a little strange, even eerie, to say we were delighted with a cremation service - but we were. Since 2015 my sister and I had been home caring our mother, who was nearly 95 when she passed away in her sleep, in familiar surroundings, loved ones nearby. We were able to have 'that conversation' (the one most families dread). Mr. Cherubini could not have been more understanding. He was compassionate, made me feel comfortable, while covering all the basic information. So my sister and I were able to anticipate what we would need. We put necessary paperwork in order during the last week of mom's life. Once those tasks were complete, we could re-focus: get back to keeping mother peaceful and calm during her last days. When she was called Home, we had everything close at hand. A sad, confusing time was made infinitely easier by having our questions answered. Mr. Cherubini arrived at our home with the conveyance; he and his assistant were very gentle with mother's remains. Instead of a body bag, they brought a soft, beautiful blanket in which to wrap her. A funeral director's job requires enormous sensitivity. All Boro was wonderful..from my very first anxious phone call, to receiving mother's ashes today by special mail. Mr. Cherubini, Amanda, and Monica did everything humanly possible to put us at ease and, honor our mother. I now have the necessary Death Certificates, so we can move on and close mom's accounts. As rarely as I review anyone, one word defines my experience with this company after looking at their website & talking over prices with the man whom answered the phone. That word is DECEPTIVE. Prices said to be included (crematory) are NOT. After everything adds up, the price is not what is advertised. After some much needed homework I came to find many other companies offering the same services for what they show online and for less.
