Ideal Siding team responded quickly to my request, gave me an accurate quote and the job was done in a very reasonable timeframe. The project manager recommended replacing the siding with James Hardie Plank instead of cedar, and we negotiated what I considered an excellent price. When the wall was removed, however, it was clear, as I suspected, that there was more rot to be addressed than first thought. I knew the agreed-upon price was low, and we quickly negotiated an increased cost - still an excellent deal for the work done. These guys are open, and honest manner makes them easy to deal with. The crew was dependable and hard-working, clearly as pleased and proud of the company. From the beginning to the end, the project was efficiently and professionally negotiated and completed. Some final touch-ups took a little bit longer than anticipated (which was understandable since they are a very busy company). Still, they offered us a discount for the delay, which was very appreciated. Excellent service and friendly crew. I would highly recommend them for anyone that requires siding work. Maintaining the historic look of the house was important to us and Mike was willing and able to make that happen, going to lengths that other siding companies were hesitant about. His team members, Vlad, Ivan, and Alex, were fast, efficient, friendly, and diligent workers; we were impressed with their dedication to the project. (See updated addendum at the bottom) Earlier this year, I was the victim of a serious security breach involving Cooper Roofing's email system. As a result, I received fraudulent payment instructions that appeared to come from them. Based on the information available, the breach likely resulted from weak protection measures and inadequate cybersecurity training, although I can't be certain -- Cooper's declined to provide the details I requested to properly assess the situation. The breach went undetected for weeks until I brought it to their attention. Beyond that incident, my experience overall was extremely poor. Despite confusion around the payment instructions, the project manager assured me that work would begin on a specific date, so I moved my wife and small child out of the house in anticipation. But without any warning, no work was ever started. My wife was also treated rudely on the phone when we tried to clarify what had happened with the missing deposit, which added unnecessary stress to an already difficult situation. After the breach, Cooper's remained evasive and never called to offer an apology or explanation for what had happened. In my personal opinion, this company demonstrated a lack of professionalism, poor communication, and a concerning approach to customer service and data security. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them. ADDENDUM: For clarity, the Provincial Court of British Columbia (Small Claims) heard the full evidence on March 11, 2026 and ruled 100% in my favour. The Adjudicator's exact conclusion was: "Because the fraud originated from the Defendant's emails being compromised, the Defendant is responsible to pay the Claimant the amount of the loss." Judgment was awarded for the full $8,435.83 (principal + costs) with immediate payment ordered. The court did not accept the timeline or "warning signs" argument presented by Cooper Roofing. Payment of the remaining balance is still outstanding and enforcement proceedings are now underway. The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner also substantiated my complaint, finding that Cooper Roofing failed to implement reasonable security measures, including MFA and employee training."

After 10 minutes, I called the representative to see if they were still coming as I had other commitments. No answer. I called Cooper Roofing and the VR receptionist advised that the Project Manager would get back to me shortly. No call. I called back the representative. No answer. I left a VM. No call back. I called back Cooper Roofing. The VR receptionist continued to cycle back to the greeting as they could not find anyone to transfer the call to. Brutal customer service and obviously I would not recommend this roofing company.
