Only hired All Exteriors because a promotion for 'half off labor' came in the mail. I wish I heeded other people's advice about this company. I had a small job and it was estimated by Kelsey. "Two week lead time," he said. Two weeks after they deposited my down payment and had not scheduled/ nor had any communication with me, I began to call. Daily. One call, when I asked the women who answered when I would receive a call back - since the first two messages didn't do anything - she told me, "I don't keep tabs on the other people in the office." I finally got on the schedule just over a month after my down payment was deposited. The crew showed up and stated they could not perform the job that was quoted and would need to sell me additional services to complete. I refused. With it being winter now, I am now unable to get the job completed until spring. read more

Do not use. Terrible quality on the deck. Didn't finish and where they had to cut around the siding, they basically placed a random piece of siding and nailed it to the exterior. One panel slopes and this was expensive no-maintenance material. Also hired them to do a retaining wall and drain tile because our backyard slopes down and snow melts to the driveway causing an ice rink to form because the way our garage is placed it gets no sun and does not melt. First, retaining wall was about 1.5 feet too short before they put the top on. When they started they said they couldn't even do drain tile because of the garage foundation so they put p-rock gravel in the retaining wall and said that would take care of that. Didn't. Don't answer phone and don't return emails even after we sent them photos of their terrible work. Would like to give them 0 stars. read more

Buyer Beware! Al Clark misrepresented a product and when it was delivered I refused delivery since the box of hardware was open and the product looked used. I immediately called him and cancelled the order and Al Clark had the nerve to go ahead and cash my $18,200 check and keep the product in his possession. It took me 8 months of filing complaints with Wisconsin Consumer Protection and St. Croix County Small Claims court to get my money returned. In court, Al Clark lost and I won but what a nightmare! The worst experience we have ever had. Roof leaked. Their billing was inaccurate and initially refused to discuss/explain the bill which came in significantly higher than our contract. They immediately started yelling and threatening us when we asked for clarification. Be careful of the positive reviews. If I could give "zero" stars as a rating I would. This is a company to avoid, hands down. Know first that the reviews on the company website are invited - there is no link or tab on the site that one can use to do a review. That is why every last one of them is a positive, 5-star review. We hired them for replacement of our gutters and downspouts, primarily because they are the only company in the area that installs K-Guard gutters. I paid half down in the fall of 2018, and I was completely aware at that time that the work may not take place until the spring of 2019 (which we accepted). Prior to installation, they come out and extrude the seamless gutters and leave equipment that is needed to install, then installers come later (usually within a week) to install. When the extruded gutters were finally here in July, 2019, we were SO excited to have the job done, finally. The installers showed up at 6:30 AM, (with no warning, mind you) and apparently set to work. I came out of the house around 7:00 to discover them here, and immediately noticed that they had set one of the scaffolding ladders against a specimen tree that is at my front side walk (it's a very slow-growing weeping white pine that I planted about 5 years ago and have been diligently tending since then), and broke one of only two branches that wept all the way to the ground. The workmen apologized, but when I contacted the company, and spoke with the owner, whose name is Al Clark, he insisted that accidents happen, that I was overreacting to my "little branch" being broken and insisted on calling me "Miss Vici". I simply would have appreciated an apology and a "what-can-we-do-to-make-it-up-to-you, but Al was too busy interrupting me, belittling my concerns, and insisting that it was simply an unavoidable accident to apologize. He claims he offered to replace the tree, but he did not, and was dismissive and disrespectful. We fired them on the spot and installed the gutters without them. My impression of reviews on line is that if all goes well, and there are no hitches involving the work, damage done or misquoting, they get a good/great review, but if things go awry and either the male or female owner gets involved, they are horrible at conflict resolution, and will likely turn the interaction completely sour. The first thing Al said to me on the phone was, "I saw the video of your little branch.", not what he should have said, which is, " I'm so sorry for the damage that occurred to your property." Very unprofessional, dismissive and argumentative. I would never recommend this company and will never hire them again. They should not have a BBB accreditation. read more

This complaint is about a roof & siding replacement after a hail storm in 2017. I first went to the offices of All Exteriors in an attempt to get an estimate to submit to my homeowner's insurance. I was first told All Exteriors did not perform this service, but when I tried again several weeks later, they were only too glad to do so. I gave them another chance based upon thee Christian Fish on their logo, which indicated to me that they adhered to Christian integrity. I was greatly disappointed to find this is not the case. Some time later, a Sales Agent named Alex came out, examined the damages and took measurements to create an estimate, which was in the $12,000 range. My memory might be at fault, and it possibly was around $14,000. I told him up front that I was (and am) unemployed, partially due to medical reasons, therefore could not pay in the event of any overages. He assured me repeatedly that the work would be very close to his quote, which was what submitted to the insurance adjuster, and approved. The Travelers adjuster had also been out and confirmed the extent of the damages found. On that basis, I signed the contract to get the repairs underway. A few months later, the materials were delivered, and I had received a few letters apologizing for the delay, due to the heavy workload owing to the extent of the hailstorm. A couple of weeks later, a crew of Mexicans arrived and did a fine job on the roof over a period of 2 days. The siding crew of about 4 men showed up shortly thereafter and began residing the western exposure of the house, but left the garage undone, which had also been factored into the original quote. When I asked about when the garage would be done, I was told it would be about another month. No explanation was given as to why it had not been done in the first place, but possibly a simple oversight. It was a few weeks later that a 2 man crew arrived to side the garage, and after stripping the old siding from the garage, I was told (and shown) that a section of the sheathing (plywood) was rotted and should be replaced. The older of the two men said the task would take only about 20 minutes at a rate of $80/hr. Based on that information which indicated to me a cost of about $35 including the plywood, factoring half of a 4' x 8' sheet, which would retail for about $6 or $7 for a full sheet. During this visit, I was treated to foul language and tobacco smoke coming into my windows. Further, I overheard one of the crew asking the other about the trash pile in the yard. The response was "we're not taking anything". None of these things enhances customer relations a bit, particularly when this crew walked off the job, leaving it incomplete. A few weeks later when the days were getting shorter, my wife turned on the light next to the back door, but it didn't come on. When I investigated this, I found the light fixture had been remounted, but not hooked up. What kind of shoddy work is this? In my most recent phone conversation with CFO Lindsey Clark, I was told the replacement of that 4' x'4' section of plywood amounted to $400. That's $1,200/hr., not $80. When I pointed that out to Lindsey, it was clear she was not going to make any adjustment. She mentioned the man on site had no business quoting me for the task, and that she would reprimand him, still there was no mention of making any adjustment. In terms of billing, I received a letter mildly telling me I was in arrears, when the initial invoice was in the same envelope. Apparently, I was expected to pay without benefit of any bill. I have submitted a complaint to the BBB, but it's too soon to receive a reply or resolution. I'm not holding out a great deal of hope. read more

Horrible experience dealing with this company. They promise a quick project date in order to get the contract and collect down payment, then have no intention of honoring those dates. Attempts to cancel contract and get down payment returned are fruitless. Owner refuses to return phone calls. Forces customer to resort to BBB resolution or ultimately go to court to resolve. Not exactly the way you would expect a hometown business to act. They even were deceptive in trying to blame my insurance for delays, when they hadn't even submitted their supplement request to insurance for consideration. If their business ethics is a reflection on their work quality, I cannot allow them to work on my property. UPDATE - I was able to buy my way out of the contract, relinquishing $372 for absolutely no work being done. BEWARE! Don't sign a fuzzy contract and rely on verbal commitments.
