This location has an excellent selection across just about every food category. There was plenty of fresh produce, canned goods, bulk grains and rice, dairy products, beverages, and much more. I also discovered something I'd never seen before: Walking Tamales. They looked like an interesting alternative to the typical energy bar, which often seems loaded with sugar and other sweeteners. The people at checkout were friendly and helpful, making for a pleasant shopping experience. I'd definitely stop back the next time I'm in the area.

I got the best brewed coffee of the day there (impressive considering I stopped at two different coffee shops beforehand) and also purchased a package of pita chips and hummus that were made in Eau Claire-the pita chips were spectacular-the best I've ever had, and the hummus was good too. It is only a 15 minute drive and located off the county highway. This is a one stop shop for local goods and organic foods. It is small but has produce, bread, meat, dairy, dry goods and local crafts. Everything is either organic and/or made locally. If I lived in the area or vacationed here, I would definitely shop at this store. But the true gem is the custard. WOW! I wasn't sure what to expect but the two scoops I tried were so flavorful and delicious! I had one scoop of coffee and one scoop of chocolate caramel crunch. Very please with my selections. The waffle cone was also very good. My boyfriend had two scoops of salted caramel praline and while he enjoyed it, I think too scoops was a bit much as it become very salty toward the end. Writing this review I am daydreaming about eating more. I kind of regret not buying a pint to go but now I have more incentive to return!

I believe the deli and food area has more options available during lunch hour than dinner hour, which make sense. At time there would be yummy samples. They also host events for us to try out new things. Take off one star was because some employee previously offer my kids with religious figures toys. With a smile bright as the morning sun and cheer as boundless as a spring meadow, this noble fellow did not mock my quest, strange though it was. Nay, he embraced it with mirth and honor, guiding me with great care through vineyard and produce till the chosen orb was found. Truly, Zachary is a steward of joy, a knight of customer service, and the grape--verily!--was as crunchy as mine heart did hope. Five stars, and may his smile never fade.
