What first brought me to Fresh Thyme Vadnais Heights were their selection of Siena Soap Company products offered. Note, not all locations offer these products, so it's so nice that Fresh Thyme vadnais heights has been a constant supplier for me. It's been so nice not having to run all over the city (although, I would if needed). The store has always been clean and bright. I also love how they offer a wide variety of fresh and healthier options. Lots of other personal care products, protein powders, and bulk items like nuts, peanut butter, and such. If you're a shopper, you may find yourself getting lost in this store (like me). Something to consider, bringing your own reusable bags as each bag cost 10 cents, not the end of the world, but something to be aware of beforehand. Self checkout lanes are highly recommended here. Each time I've been here, maybe 1-2 lanes have been open, so when I needed assistance at the self checkout, it took a little while. However, my encounter with the staff member was good. She checked on the product price and adjusted to the correct cheaper price for me. It was a good experience. I will continue coming to Fresh Thyme for my Siena Soap Company needs and any other items I may need that are harder to come across at your regular grocery store.

I love the fact that they feature local brands... And these pita puffs are AMAZING!

I absolutely love this grocery store. They have great national brands, they feature local brands as well as other specialty brands. Every time I come in the store it's clean, the staff is always friendly and willing to help everything is so fresh, colorful and plentiful. I have never not found something I needed / wanted in here sometimes I end up finding things I had no idea I needed lol. The fish market and butcher shop is beyond one of the best The meats and fish are so fresh and not only will they cut to order for you but they have feature prices that woodlow most grocery stores and top butcher shops out of the water. They're saff is always knowledgeable and extremely willing and eager to help and give suggestions. I stumbled upon this store by accident about 8 months ago and now it's one of my favorite go-tos, And again with the economy the way that it is and wanting to eat healthy, nutritious fresh food fresh thyme has everyone beat

The stores feature seafood products, best quality and prices. Fruit section is arranged well, spacious and fresh look! Download the app you can check the weekly deal. We got two lobster tails for 9.98 and two pounds of large shrimp for less than 10. Every time when we need to stock some seafood, we come to fresh thyme. Highly recommend!

Fresh Thyme has become one of our regular stops for groceries. They have a good selection of fresh vegetables and usually good prices. It looks like it's a good lunch stop for locals to build their own salad, pasta, sandwich or pizza. We have enjoyed their meat department and the variety of brats either pork or chicken. They have a large section for vitamins, supplements and etc as well.

Fresh Thyme is a great addition to the neighborhood. I love this store. Full of great deals too. Check weekly and you can pick up deals, like 99 cent raspberries or hamburger for 1.49 a pound among other things. They have a great bakery and salad bar. Rotisserie chickens, bulk foods, nuts, flour, spices, candies. I especially love their natural body care, aromatherapy and medicinal area. Natural shampoo, deodorant, pain relievers. They have essential oils and diffuser finds. You can pick up freshly made smoothies, juice and infused water. There is not a Whole Foods available in the area, but Fresh Thyme fulfills that need.

Check-out here is unbelievably painfully slow.... I can't stand it. Would rather go to Cub Foods and get in and out quickly.

**July 2025: Sunday Morning Visit**…read more This is such a great Farmer Market and I'm so glad that I visited. On our last day in Minneapolis I happen to notice that we'd be able to attend this Sunday event. Farmers Markets in California all range in size so I didn't really know what to expect for this one - holy cow! It was huge and lots of different local things. They had Minnesota grown produce, handmade products, fresh flowers, baked good and so much more. I was introduced to Ty's Gingseng (https://www.tysginseng.com/) who grows and sells 6 year old ginseng powder - which is very high quality. I also bought relish from Red Ron's as well as some sausage links from another vendor. To be honest I probably could have spent at least 1.5 hours here if I wanted to really study all the booths and check everything out, but we had brunch plans and needed to depart within 45 mins. I would love to come back to support small! FYI: There's metered parking

Being able to support the community and get such staple items made my heart full. It probably wasn't the wisest choice getting hot soup on a hot day but it was so delicious. There was live music, went into the walk in cooler to take a break from the sun and went back to it. Every vendor was very nice and welcoming, got some treats for my dogs, a freshly made slush coffee, and some hot dogs to end the walk around. I can't wait to come back to grab more fruits and veggies and flowers!

It's not much in the way of hiking, as the longest path/loop is only a mile long and fully paved with asphalt, but it's got a lot of amenities that would make for an excellent visit during warmer months. This includes a kid's playground, an extensive fitness zone, a splash pad (with toilets and water fountain-- not operating during winter), a bandshell, and a sizable festival grounds. On the other end of the park (near Pilot Knob) there's a gazebo structure with more seasonal restrooms/water fountain, with a multitude of picnic tables, trash/recycling, and grills that would be excellent for outdoor get-togethers. There is parking at both this location and by the splash pad, as well as the massive lot attached to the community center. There's a couple small lakes and plenty of trees, so it's a nice little retreat (even if right across the street is a massive outdoor shopping center...).

Now, they like to work out at the Core Valley area (we call it Ninja Warrior Park), while I walk the lovely trails around the pond area. The band shell has some free performances sometimes. My fav feature is the cute gazebo and bridge next to the pond. A very well thought out park for so many uses, including art fairs, food truck fairs, a weekly farmer's market and even a huge July 4th celebration. The Eagan Community Center building is conveniently located the middle of the park.

The market is in a parking lot with plenty of left-over space for parking. It focuses exclusively on fresh vegetables, herbs and some flowers. The enormous variety of greens I found here left me dizzy. For the first time in the USA, I found red amaranth greens!! And then, jute greens - yes, they are delicious stir-fried with garlic. There were gorgeous squash blossoms as well as tender squash greens. There were several greens that were new for me and the vendors, many of them women, suggested how to cook them. I got a huge bouquet of zinnias for $5, and big fat bundles of basil, cilantro, dill, each for a dollar. The market also had more common produce like cucumber, green beans, zucchini, spring onions, new potatoes, etc. I am definitely driving across town to this farmers' market - can't wait for Saturday to arrive.

Most of the vendors sell the exact same items for the same price so there's not really an advantage to walking around and browsing. The market itself is located in the parking lot of a strip mall so you can just assume anytime you go there on the weekends the lot is going to be a huge cluster. Prices range from $1-$10 for items and it really is limited to fruits, vegetables, and maybe some flowers depending on the season. If you are looking to spend a couple hours browsing for unique breeds of fresh produce, flowers, hot food vendors, or gourmet/artisan items...THIS MARKET IS NOT FOR YOU. If you happened to forget to pick up some carrots or lettuce from the grocery store in the strip mall as you are walking out to your car, this market might be a better fit. I would say if you don't live in the frog town area, it's just not worth the stress of University Avenue and pedestrian traffic for the trip out here.
